Beacuse the first hit of Onslaught's sp1 makes contact, so if it'd hit Attuma Attuma would deal a ton of dmg to Onslaught, in order to avoid that, he throws the sp1 in moments in which the first hit won't hit Attuma, on purpose

Because the first hit is contact so he would get massive damage back
Lagacy was just using sp2 but the sp1 is longer so the amplified dot holds on longer since it doesnt matter if the special hits theblock or him increases either way
