Hi from CzechRep. Great job! Personally, I still secretly hope that Kost Castle will be included in the map. It's a bit further, but it could be there. (btw Kost = A Bone)
It isn't that far off the map, but like Hrubá Skála it it just a bit too far away it seems. Food for thought though: There is room for expansion. While most of the time maps don't get extended what if this time it is and we get a whole new castle to explore and have quests in / around?
@@TheDutchTexanGames The real map and the game map are not 100% the same (shortened distances between some places), so Hrubá Skála can be on the map as well. In the first trailer of the game, there is a shot when arrows hit a man at the gate of an unknown castle. This is probably another castle from this game map. Maybe Hrubá Skála or Valdštejn? Who knows.
I wouldn't be surprised! I alluded to that at the beginning of the video, they did the same with KCD1. And while they are showing us a lot there are 100% a ton of locations that are going to take our breath away they haven't shown yet.
Tried to be as through as possible but I can't hold a candle to the full fledged team of historians Warhorse has helping them. But the promise of lots to explore is definitely there!
I live almost next to Trosky basically and I am cycling to it almost daily. Give me a shout out when you are nearby and I can give you a tour arround the neighborhood :) Loads of nice places arround. You can also climb up the Kozákov hill/mountain. Pretty nice view from there on the entire area.
@@TheDutchTexanGames I do not think you would enjoy much medieval beer - but things has changed and we drink better beer today... 😉😜But still - great job in "geolocation" - I appreciate it! 👍👍👍
We drink it colder and the recipe is more consistent now for sure! But I just can’t say no to beers which have been around for half a millenia or more, Weihenstephan comes to mind, they’ve been brewing since 1040 and I love em!
And that is on level ground as the crow flies. It’ll take you longer still with all the hills and natural obstacles in the way. Looking forward to exploring it all!
@@TheDutchTexanGames Yes, you’re right, there will be no straight roads from corner to corner. I read that now (kcd1) the whole map can be passed in 70 minutes. Also on the internet there is information that the map of the fkcd1 was 16 square kilometers, the idea this kcd2 should be 2 times more, that is not 2.5 km exactly.
@@AlekseyKabanov The two maps combined will be two times bigger than the KCD1 map. They also said Trosky is smaller than KCD1 and Kutná Hora is bigger. That means if the Trosky map is roughly 7 km2, then the Kutná Hora map will probably be something like 5x5 km (25 km2). Maybe a bit smaller. I don´t know if they said it is "exactly" two times bigger or almost two times bigger.
@@geography_czek5699 Aaa, so I didn’t understand that the video only refers to a part of the map. I decided for some reason that 2.5 * 2.5 is the whole map KCD2. Thanks for the explanation
Actually no, neither map is bigger than the KCD1 map. But both maps combined are 125% or so of KCD1. And since you could explore forever in KCD1 these other two maps will likely have far more detail to them and more things to explore per square km than KCD1 did despite them being a little smaller.
Where's that est. date on Krčkovice coming from? Not the first time I've seen it speculated to be in KCD2, but wikipedia puts the first mention at 1543.
When I was researching the video it was mentioned with Hrubá Skála. When I started researching the kuttenberg places I found that using the CZ version of Wikipedia and other sources was more reliable. It could very well not be in the game if it indeed was only mentioned in 1543 and does not have roots in a homestead. Lets call it a clerical error... I am human after all.
What do you think they have done with Kolin in the Kutná Hora map if they didn't include it? I mean' for me is kind of suspicious that they confirmed the limits of all directions (Kutná Hora to the east (and i hope for Sedlec Monastery), Malesov to the south and Suchdol to the west) but north (Kolin is only 8 miles away from Malesov and Suchdol is about 6 miles away from Sedlec). It would be quite a surprise to find another city in the map.
Sedlec Monastry is confirmed in the game, you can see it in some backgrounds in gameplay trailers. So is the ossuary right next to it. Kolin is a big city in 1403 so it would require the same amount of detail as they have put in Kuttenberg and that was already talked about as being almost "too big" by the developers. Actually working on filling the Kuttenberg map with possible locations. Expect a video on that in a few days hopefully (It's a lot of work, but I got some help this time).
It does seem to fall off the map here unfortunately. Warhorse does compress the map and reworks it to fit the game so there are no doubt locations we haven’t seen yet.
The original KCD2 was 2.5 miles squared so not that small. And what really matters is what's in it. Vast open nothingness or rock formations, lakes, diverse forests, crafted towns that aren't copy pasta, castles, a living and breathing world etc. etc.
Great work someone finally did video about Trosky map
I wondered what we could see and what was already known, it was a fun process. And it keeps me busy till the game comes out!
Short and on point! Love it.
I try my best to do this in all of my KCD content, I am glad you enjoyed!

Very impressive work man!
Thank you! It was fun!
Great stuff brother as always
Thanks! I hope it was enjoyable to watch!
Great analysis! If it's correct there'll be quite some area to explore there. Gotta visit these places once KCD2 releases.

Oh, they changed the pawn. Very good!
Yup, it's back to it's more 2d looking self. It's a little thing but I am happy about it!
Love it!
Thank you! And yes, there seems to be a lot going on here and with everything we have seen it just makes me want to play the game more!
Hrubra Skala Castle looks so cool. Hope its on there. DLC maybe.
@@LM-vq7ju there is so much DLC potential it’s crazy, a lot of really cool castles and places are cut off on the map. We’ll have to wait and see
nice detective work.
It was fun! The internet truly is a powerful tool.
Wow nice job! And to this this is just one of the maps in the game 😅
Yeah, the Kuttenberg map is bigger, far bigger…
Amazing place. Gotta visit Trosky and Kuttenberg next spring for a WE.. only 2-3h to drive from my home town.
