Outstanding video! Didn't understand a word you said, but I didn't need to. Thanks to you, I was able to successfully disassemble my laptop, clean all the cat vomit out of it, and have it work when I reassembled it. You are my hero!
Wow, probably one of, if not the best, computer hardware tutorials I've ever seen and I don't even speak the same language as the gentleman in the video. Well done!
Thank you so much for this video, perfectly filmed and very useful. I was able to give a second life to my laptop by respaste it ! You save me and also the planet by this kind of video. No need to recycle one to get a new ! GREAT.
great video, got the cooler paste changed, CPU had a steady temp. of 95 degrees Celsius. and after it went to 50. Everything working as before and pro video. A great help :)
BEST video instruction EVER! You must be the VERY BEST Instructor. It looks like you swapped the position of the wifi cables at the following time frame -unplug at 4:45 and +plugin in at 12:30. Is it OK though? Because I always take a snapshot for every step I unplug the cables so I can put them back correctly. Everything worked well for my laptop now. Thank you so much for your very EXCELLENT video instruction!!! You are the BEST!!!! P.S. Hint!!! If for some reason your trackpoint and trackpad (for mouse) do not function normally but your keyboard MUST still working after you put everything together. NO WORRY, temporarily use any available USB mouse then, go to Lenovo support site, UPDATE BIOS to the LATEST version of your specific machine model (mine is W540) then, it will magically work normal again after reboot your system follow right after BIOS updated completion. Enjoy!
Yes! The starting position is right but the ending position is wrong see download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/t540p_w540_w541_hmm_en_sp40a26003_02.pdf "When installing: Plug the gray cable into the connector labeled MAIN or 1 on the card; and plug the black cable into the connector labeled AUX or 2 on the card". Don't pay attention to the black and white triangles on the card they don't match the colors of the antenna wires!
Good video, way to much thermal paste. Also it looked to be a generic thermal paste. Always use the minimum amount of a GOOD thermal paste. Otherwise is just gets hard and doesn't transfer the heat as it should.
Useful video, great job, thank you. Is someone know if there are different fans supplier for W540-W541? Mine is very noisy at higher speed, not because of age, always was noisy. So, which is the best fan for W541?
Tachyon Mask you really need to follow my video step by step to replace the thermal paste on the CPU. Good luck to you. Need help!? Just give me any question :)
@@laptoppro5948 Wonderfully accurate video. Kudos to you. I've managed to reapply thermal paste. One core seems to have higher temps. Around 5-6 degrees higher than the other one. Seems to be doing fine other than that. The speakers are crackling as well. Never saw the speakers while disassembling it. Any tips on how to fix them? Thanks in advance. The laptop in question is a T540p with a i5 4300M processor.
easiest way to fix that is buy a new laptop what happened to you, lenovo? it used to take 3 minutes to swap out a cpu on a thinkpad, now it takes 15 minutes just to clean the fan
why is lenovo allowed to sell something so idiotic in us? is it acceptable to have this level of disassembly to get to to the fan to clean it?!? i did not think so!!!
Sao e tháo hp zbook 15 ra boi kem tản nhiệt rồi lấp lại mở nguồn chạy duoc 2 ngay no tắt nguon mở ko lên là bị gì vậy a , mở lên nó báo sang dèn rồi quạt gió thôi ầm ầm rồi tắt ko lên hinh ?????

Thanks so much - great video!
I'm stunned by the level of carefulness put into this disassembly process. Great work.
without ESD-cable at handwrist... please don't call it careful...
I don't speak Vietnamese but this was easily the best video for the job! Thanks very much

Thank you again! Once again your video was very helpful to disassemble my W541 this time.
Thanks, good job. Very useful video
Thank you for a clear and easy to follow video! I would have never found the tiny screws underneath the keyboard
That was very helpful. Thank you so much :)

Same procedure for the T540p. This video is VERY helpful.
Great Video! Didnt understand anything but helped me take apart the machine and replace my intern ac adapter cable that was defect = )
Awesome video, showing well and clearly what steps to do ! Thanks for that. But afraid to do like you on my own W541 :-(
Absolutely ! You can do the same to ThinkPad W541
@@laptoppro5948 Finally I did with 100% success ! :-) My laptop is now working like a charm and for few more years ! great and thanks again !
Thanks 😁
Great video! Thanks so much!!

Great video, thank you.
What paste (viscosity, density) to use? Or directly type, thank you very much.
even for macbook pro (a tipical consumeristic garbage) is easier to clean the fan(s)
I could not locate the speakers for the t540p. Can someone help?
One of the speakers is sounding tinny and crackling.
Do I need to do all these steps to replace the thermal paste on the CPU? Or can I skip a few?

Is there a shortcut method to replace buzzing speakers?

Bạn thử kiểm tra lại khe Ram nhé. Tháo ra gắn lại. Xem có bị lỏng hay bụi không nhé
