How did this not even make it to the Superfinal? Icelandic language, beautiful melody, great outfit and staging. She deserved to win so much!

Looks like the icelandic people do not really care about winning the ESC for the first time ever, this year - which they would have easily achieved by sending Iva - or even making it to the final this year!!! This would dream of winning. Top 10 a possibility? yes. With dadi too? yes. None of the Icelandic songs had a chance this year but yet you still just EXPECTED her to win the whole thing. Maybe if you became less cocky with your song choice and respect this decision you wouldn't be so mad

This song is Magical, Epic, High Fantasy, it takes you to another world, even if you dont understand the lyrics, she is not singing to "you", She sings to the Soul, to the part that is above language, and our soul gets lifted to another plane of existence, just for a brief moment, I felt this sense of peace, this calm like ive never felt before. this glimpse i saw, to that etheral world of pure harmony, was like getting a vision of Perfectness. it was Nirvana, it was heaven, it was Valhalla. as that vision fades into memory, i feel sadness, as our sad reality is just a poor imitation of that perfect world i got to experience for just 2 and a half minute.

This was my favourite. A masterpiece which might be too grand for Eurovision. This is the type of song that would be ideal for a huge event, such as the opening ceremony of the Olympics. It won't be forgotten.

That evening was horrible! We lost "Ballerina" from Sweden, "Dale Dale" from Moldova, "Beautiful lies" from Estonia and this treasure from Iceland... There were huge goosebumps during her performance! She was gorgeous, just like the Snow Queen from Andersen's fairytale! I have no words... This year is going to be very weak... A haunting masterpiece that will forever be one of Eurovision's eternal 'what-if' diamonds. So original and earthy. Daði was a good winner though, but Dimma absolutely should not have been in the superfinal.

As pointed out elsewhere, there was an issue with the background singers here, I think.
The mic on the soprano backing vocal wasn't working, so a really important element in the backing vocals was completely missing! I felt like it still sounded good and Iva sang well (even better than in the pre-final performance), but the fact that the important soprano backing vocal was missing definitely took away from the full impact that the performance could have had.

I presume the soprano backing singer got the dud microphone, as the backing sounded deeper than in the semi.
