Interesting to see how they developed into a championship team! They were not able to win in 2020 but they were able to win back to back premierships in 2021 and 2022! By the way, the videos on the playlist on my channel might interest some people!

I actually met both Anthony Griffin and Cameron Ciraldo while they were on the coaching staff. Griffin was a mutual friend through family friends and Ciraldos kids went to my school and were in my year so I saw him on multiple occasions.

2017 Finals Week One: Panthers 22 Sea Eagles 10 (not Dragons).
Key turning points which I never reflected on the way this video is told these events :
- cutting out high paid players even if they were somewhat good
- hiring griffin as he injected the youth in quick eg Nathan cleary
- removing gus. He is too dominant at a club eventually. Becomes the club
- hiring back ivan who is more system based delegates better
- the hiring of Trent Barrett
- the signing of api
overall the theory of not paying overs externally and systemically promoting from within which not many clubs do .
If the above highlighted events never occured, we may never have seen this success. Life is funny sometimes and not everything runs in a straight line

He said Queensland has the right model training young players in their junior and feeder clubs , he essentially said he was going to implement his style of Qld sucess at the Panther he said it was going to be a 5 year plan .... It worked

Good Video, but maybe it is part 1 of an ongoing rise to the top for the Panthers.
A minor premiership does not dictate a dominant or successful season.
In the last 20 years 2001 to 2020, only 5 minor premiership teams have gone on to
win the Provan-Summons Trophy (premiership).
To successful teams, finishing in the top 4 is the goal for the home and away season, minor premierships
means nothing.
The finals then dictates who had the most dominant and successful season.
Well this didnt age well hahaha and it would have been 3 grand final wins in a row if refs in 2020 knew the rules about how to play the ball correctly

Practically every time you see the left centre score untouched it's because Kikau drew in an extra defender. Penrith score tries through him drawing in defenders than any other second rower. Crichton top try scoring centre last centre. Burton top try scoring centre this year. Both playing on Kikau's edge.
