This product is only used for Focuway's dash cam. After connecting the dash cam according to the correct connection method, turn on the time-lapse recording function of the dash cam, and it will continue to record video for you after parking. When the car battery voltage drops to 11.8V, the hardwire kit will automatically cut off the power supply to ensure that your battery will not be exhausted.
Hi there, once you install the kit, we don’t need to connect that wire to cigarette lighter right?
I was wondering the same- does yes mean we do need to still connect the cigarette lighter wire? I’m new to this- my aplogies
@@z4beemergirlSC once you wire it to the fuse box and install this kit you wont need the cigarette lighter wire ever again. because the power will be coming from the fuse box instead of the cigarette lighter
My Nissan Kicks 2022 cigarette lighter gives power even when the ignition is turned off. I am using D2-DUO. How to use parking mode in my case? Because the camera continues to operate normally even the ignition is off..
I am not using any Hardwire kit. This cigarette lighter is company installed.
I connected it as in the video, but I am experiencing the problem you described. It works normally but does not go into parking mode.
UPDATE !!!
I just noticed that once the main ignition is turned off, it still supplies the power to that cigarette lighter for around 5 minutes. After that, it cuts off power, and then dashcam turns off. 😁 after little more research, I came to know that some new model of kicks supply power upto 10 minutes as well. So try to identify how long does it takes to cut off power completely in your Nissan Kicks.
@@Prabhu.Budhathoki Does it go into parking mode after the screen turns off after 5 or 10 minutes? Did I get right?
As you said, I waited 15-20 minutes, but it still does not go into parking mode. screen always on
confused when u put the acc into the wire and the original fuse from my truck
It actually makes no difference if you plug two fuses into the socket. The description in the manual is to let everyone know that the outside fuse circuit leads to the dash cam, and the inside fuse circuit leads to the car's original electrical equipment.
manual and video are different
After correctly installing the hardwire kit, please open the "Time-lapse Recording" option in the settings. This way, after the car engine is turned off, the dash cam will start time-lapse recording within 10 seconds. You will hear the voice prompt "Time-lapse recording started" (for T5/T6 models), or the screen will turn off and the green working indicator light will flash (for D2 duo models).
If the dash cam does not enter parking mode (turn off or start time-lapse recording) after the car engine is turned off, it means your red wire is not correctly connected to the ACC fuse. Please try connecting it to another ACC fuse position.
The working logic of the FOCUWAY dash cam is as follows:
The yellow cable provides continuous power to the dash cam and needs to be connected to the car's constant fuse (most fuses are constant, such as those for interior headlamps, car locks, etc.), which means fuses that still have power even after the car engine is turned off.
The red cable is the parking control cable and needs to be connected to the ACC fuse (usually for cigarette lighter, radio, car console, etc.). When the car starts, the red cable receives power, signaling the dash cam to enter normal working mode. When the car engine is turned off, the red cable loses power, signaling the dash cam to enter parking mode.
The black cable is the negative pole and needs to be connected to the car frame screw. Please make sure not to connect it to screws on plastic parts, as this won't create a power loop, causing the dash cam to fail to start.
If you can't find your car's fuse box diagram, you can input your car brand, model, and year here to search:

If you still can't find the correct fuse, please send the car brand, model, and year to email: support@focuway.com for assistance.
