For 3600 hours I prefer to play with 1) m16 + any shotgun 2) mutant mk47 + any shotgun 3) any LMG + shotgun 4) UMP45 + any shotgun. The reason for this was that I play with the mouse in my left hand (as well as a rather low sensitivity) and the keyboard on the right, this allows me to click the 'Q' key super fast for 1 bullet of everything I want. Because of this, a ton of weapons becomes unbalanced in my hands, if you shoot very quickly from any machine gun lying on 1 bullet, it stops having recoil at all and you can kill at breakneck speed over huge distances. It all depends on the degree of professionalism, so I think that many people need to learn to play differently and sacrifice the slot. I once played a match and checked what people from 16 teams were playing with(pubg.sh), all without exception except me played AR + DMR or SR, I'm the only one with 5 kills, a machine gun and a DBS in lategame left of all
Yes, but I've been carrying the dbs on smaller maps, and always pick one up as first weapon of choice in hot drops. I like the dbs endgame with an AR. I'm usually with people who snipe. That's what I like about PUBG, you have trade offs and need to think about loadouts.
Shotgun is, and will always be, range dependent. It is in it's nature. if the end game is in buildings or camps, sure. otherwise, leave it on the ground.
Compromise could be to revert damage of shotguns and introduce 3rd specialised slot (basically reowork the gun slot), that slot could mix shotguns, handguns, grenade launcher, panzerfaust, mortar, crossbow and and other specialised stuff like that. It would be good for overall bump in use of shotguns and crossbows, and it would introduce some 'build' varieties.
Buffing shotguns makes as much sense as it makes sense them buffing smgs, AGAIN. Currently UMP is the best smg to use, and to use while having 6x on it. That's the problem, buffing shotguns is whatever, no one is gonna use them mid and late game anyway & you're still gonna lose fights here and there against a shotgun, but smgs are problem with their limb penetration dmg, and now increased headshot dmg.
devs don't play the game, just watch the datas... Los Leones have a building that one with blue base, with a bug door, you need open twice. is there for 3 patchs update. i think the big update that are coming, supposse to go fix this 😅

The thing is, if they don't know what their game is like for the players they can't make it better. They make things to the game and only watch the data as if it was some almighty bible that they need to follow. Shotguns are not too op YET, but if they increase the range more and make them even more powerful there's gonna be huge issues ahead! They always over do things and then when it's too op and people are making changes to the gameplay according to it, they roll it back in some way and usually make them worse than it should have been. Their data is always coming behind while people in the community could give feedback right when the patch comes out.

He is favoring pump Shotgun and Dmr lot and altough he is very very good player he is not afraid to use it in late game also. He favorits close combat in late games also and shotgun works fine...Mayby if you want to use a shotgun you keep Dmr and lose sniper??

The game has had a problem with ARs since the start, sprays at ranges beyond 50m are not a thing and shouldn't be a thing, let alone while scoping. Healthy dose of realism would remove the need for buffing smgs and shotguns. s12k is still horrible though
Shotguns in PUBG seemed always pretty OP when I played near the beginning of the games release into early access and months after, maybe even a year too. (I don't play anymore because... PUBG sucks and I tire of battle royale games.) I literally would use them quite frequently and had no issues; this patch though is pretty stupid lmao

I understand, but I'm not sure tradeoffs are really a thing. At least they weren't with the old shotguns.
I legit went on a 7 kill game recently and only made it to the top 5 because some guy one tapped me with a shotgun from 40m away.

I agree. It's always going to be long range, and medium to short. But alot of ARs can't do the medium/longer range due to crazy fire or bullet drop.

They've decreased HS dmg long range on the ump. Aswell as accuracy.
