We have people at my office that have 2ND JOBS!!!!! Because we cant pay bills on what we are making now so we work all day then go work a graveyard shift after working all day this is ridiculous. And some and lowering what they are putting into retirement because they need it now just to get by. These people dont care that we are ALLL struggling and they are not so it does not affect them at all
Pressure bust pipes. The no strike clause is what's keeping this shit from moving and they're taking advantage of it cause they know that employees are too pussy to take action. I guess yall will have to wait until automobiles have to be repo'd from the jobsite parking lot and your homes to be foreclosed on before you grow the balls to wanna make a move. Brian Renfroe is a legend. He’s doing it right. Getting paid 200k to do absolutely nothing, doesn’t owe anyone anything…man..must be nice.

Meanwhile clerks getting 100% COLAs and making like $4 more an hour than us at the equivalent step if you’re on the low end of things. They are also negotiating a second contract in September in the time it’s taking us to do one under Renfroe.. we are almost as bad off as Mail handlers at this point lmao.

I bet you if we go on strike I bet that contract will get done fast and we need to stand up for us and take care our family without worrying how we going to make it until the next paycheck
The total incompetence with management/corporate AND the union is mind boggling. You might just give yourself a stroke trying to make sense of it. One might think this is intentional. 🤔

This isn't great for the carriers but I don't feel badly for most of them. They spend their careers running for management and skipping lunch and working off the clock in order to get done on time. They work outside of their restrictions, which is another peeve of mine.
Why fight for carriers' rights when they won't even stand up for their own rights?
So Boston convention is in August 5-9 yup...we won't see another contract till 2025

Wait if we go to a just 1 table wouldnt that automatically be a pretty good raise especially for people on the bottom? its not like theyre going to take away pay from the people at the top

I just found out today they merged our smaller branch with a larger one. They supposedly sent a letter out in September (that nobody got) telling us that we had 30 days to respond to this merger or else it would just happen on its own. Fast forward its june now and we are just finding this out. Call me a scab or whatever but im done paying for them to not listen to us. I called the NBA and they said well if you didnt respond to the letter its too late now. I said dont you think something like deleting an entire branch a letter should be sent certified? Or at least a phone call could have been made for a response? Nope . Now are dues are going up and our representation is over an hour away. Im done.

As an eight year Carrier I am on the last step of getting a another career that pays me 15 more dollars than I make now.. As a man with a house a wife and three kids in California I just can’t wait around no more and hope for the best.. I love delivering mail, but I cannot sit around and wait anymore.. I can’t wait to put my two weeks in and say fuck this place

I don’t understand why more employees don’t care about this. I routinely talk to multiple employees about all the BS we are putting up with in regards to our pay and 90+% could care less. This will go on another year if there’s no consequences for Renfroe. We need more action from employees tho. At this point just do a national 3 day sick call in and by day 4 usps will have to give in and grant a new contract.

A lot of people don’t got the balls to do it though. I’ve been trying to talk this into my fellow coworkers at my station, but they don’t give in.
Those carriers will whine loudly, but do nothing to help themselves. You'd think they were a bunch of Republicans or something.
Renfro doesn't want the contract to be revealed until after the Convention because he knows his drunk ass will get a beat down

You have a lot of senior carriers holding on for the contract and is ready to throw in the towel,and the rest of is stuck with this foolishness . I think the NALC president knows this is his last term.

it’s funny though, there was just a meeting/training that happened recently with management that was talking about focusing on having carriers bring in leads to the post office to generate more revenue, but when it comes to getting us our contract and our pay increases it doesn’t seem like it’s much of a concern to them. I’d love to do more for an employer that’s looking out for us but come on, some of us are struggling out here and you’re asking us to help you make more money. Seems a little tone deaf to me.
It’s not up to management to care about our wages.. that’s what the union is for. Management will say go talk to your union lol.
@@bobbyzig3879 management is the other half of the process. Our union has its own issues to address rn, specifically our leadership. Your statements true at a local level but usps as a “business” has to be concerned with wages especially when it comes to competition, not for mail obviously but for package delivery.

But all steps are getting same % increase COLA.
Just line on contract increase we all get same % increase.
Get the % crap outta here... everywhere I've every been from top to bottom got the same COLA. Didn't matter if you were new or 20 year Vet. If eggs go up $1 for both of us I only get .70 while you get a $1. Makes zero sense.
Renfroe is a savant at spewing out word salads. He will bore you into oblivion with circular talking points. He has to know at this point that his job is on the line and he is still hiding behind secrecy and this double talk. He needs to be booed off the stage at the Nation Convention. He can not be allowed to speak freely. Him and his enablers all need to be voted out!!

He wants the union president to come out and say a bunch of stuff about what's in the contract that's being negotiated on before it's been approved . I really hope that he is getting rich from this video , because that would be a good reason for putting out this mess . Neither side has any real leverage once it goes to arbitration and it sounds like he understands that . But brah , "you got to know when to hold em" , that's all I got and I'm out 🎭

The longer you work at USPS, the more incentive you may feel you need to stay. Unless you get out before you make regular.
Yeah, part timers are massively over-worked (or under-worked in certain offices) and underpaid, but when I started, my paychecks immediately doubled over retail.
May not feel right, but most places pay long-term employees more than new hires.
