Your grooming videos are the best! I have two girls, a standard and a pretty big "mini", and a mini boy. They aren't show dogs but who doesn't like a well groomed Aussie?!? I bought most of the gear you suggest and with the confidence I have gained by watching your videos I'm saving a ton of money at the groomers!
I have a blue merle, they have beautiful coats and are pretty rare. Lots of people don't like the white but I think the white is ok, mine has alot of white. Just so cute...
i have a red merle and she is soo pretty! i also have a black tri, they both have a lot of white (my black tri has an entire white chest/neck, so she doesn't have as much white but still)
love all your videos! I saw you have a purple Arco cordless trimmer. Do you have a video using it on an Aussie ? and for what areas? for a decade have only been hand trimming 2 Aussies with chris christen 42t, straights , and the combs , brushes for all body parts. thank you! ( always enjoy watching you at the shows. hugs n head smooches, gorgeous pups, also in FL. )
Thanks! I use it on the hair on the bottom of their feet for the most part. I show this in the how to trim front feet video. There’s another video of it on my Instagram in the grooming highlight with a better angle. I’ll also use it occasionally on the tip of their ears since it’s quicker than shears but don’t have a video of that.
Do you do sanitary trims on them too? How often between trims? One of my girls, in particular, likes to "sploot" a lot, usually in the muddiest puddle she can find, and it's a real chore trying to get her washed up "down there" after a day of play outside.
Thank you for your video! Any tips getting my Aussie used to geooming tools? He's fine with me touching his ears, butt, and paws but gets antsy whenever the shears come out.
C M Huynh You’re welcome! 🙂 My suggestion would just be positive reinforcement and small sessions. Bring treats or toys, whatever is high value to him and reward. Just be careful not to reward bad behavior 🙃
My aussies tail is much longer than both it’s still a nub but a long one and it looks like a pony tail it’s grown out so long lol idk what to do with it
Been looking for a very short tail Aussie video! My girl barely has any tail and the maybe 1"- .5" of tail she has she always tucks when I start grooming her booty and it actually hides her booty hole 🤣 vets are always very confused

That is awesome!
Thank you so much for all of your grooming videos! My pup just had his 1st groom and he looks great.
You are so welcome!
I love how you care for your dogs! I have a red merle girl that is 4 years old and she's the light of my life! Thanks for these videos!!!!
Very clear and helpful video!
Great with the two video angles
Those are some calm doggies. I have a harness set up. So my pup never stays still for too long.

I don’t do sanitary trims. When they are not showing, I trim about once or twice a quarter. They can get pretty outgrown 😳
PS Your aussie grooming videos are the BEST!@@sandollaraussies
Thank you so much for your videos❤️
You’re very welcome!
Mine has his tail. Any advice on how to trim it? Thank you!
Unfortunately not, I have no experience with trimming tails. 😔
A BIG thanks for sharing this video!
can I ask you a video on how to prepare the legs and feed? With the chalk
Thanks!
Sono una crostata alla nutella Yes! I have that one posted already :) here’s the link: ua-cam.com/video/8RvQsnS7PRw/v-deo.html

Maybe sometime you could do a video on trimming an Aussie with an actual full length tail.
Maybe but they’re hard to find. I’d suggest looking up how to trim border collie tails
Will you be posting a video on how to trim feet?
Wow! I’m sorry I missed your comment! Yes I have made the video and just need to edit it! Should be up in a few weeks ☺️
Sandollar Aussies awesome! Thank you!
How much time do you put in between trimming and the show?
I’m normally last minute and trim the day before. 2-3 days before will look more natural.

I’ve seen some leave it as is or you can trim the hair like a Goldens which is longer at the base and gradually gets shorter towards the end.
What about a dog with a natural bob that is slightly longer? Both of my pups have tail bones over an inch and a half long....and they are toy aussies
I unfortunately have no experience trimming longer tails like this! My advice would be just to try a few ideas out until you have the look you like.

Haha I have some that do that too and they always have to go searching 🤣
