Edufi seems like a game-changer, especially in the medical education sector. The high costs of education, around 15-16 lacs, can be a significant burden for many families. Edufi's approach could indeed be a lifeline for those who want to provide quality education for their children without resorting to bank loans.

This idea helps make education available to everyone in Pakistan, even those who may not have a lot. It's about giving all students a chance to learn and succeed, no matter where they come from.

58:00 is a very good idea by Muzammil. there are tons of organizations and business offering scholarships on colleges and universities. But big chunk of these scholarships go into drain. If this charity thing gets integrated with a single platform this is will be cool.
All that talk about education is well and good but what is the point of taking loans to get an education for which there won't even be jobs for, after you graduate. Sad to say there really aren't many jobs in Pakistan outside of tech and some business fields
Your choices and horizon expands once you graduate no matter which country you’re. Most graduates aren’t wise enough to apply abroad and not applying abroad is like 100% loss. I see so many people from other countries directly getting jobs somewhere else

You should probably call someone from the tribal areas. You and people could get insights about the region and what the people up there have been through.
I'm concerned about the situation, as it appears to potentially involve unethical financial practices that could be likened to white-collar crime. Could you please clarify the interest rates on these loans? these graduates have no idea what is going on in pakistan are being specifically trained to target the market and take advantage of financially deprived individuals in Pakistan. This approach, driven by capitalistic motives, doesn't seem to address the underlying problems but rather focuses solely on business and market opportunities.
I was going to mention the same points down but saw yoour comment. Imo, she have never lived here and doesn't understand the true macroeconomicswhy people don't go to college. Then there is job shortage, so many people with loans might not be able to repay them thus creating more debt. Very interesting, Back in 2011 I once presented this idea to my classmates for funding kids for their school education. But none showed any interest. They thought I want to take their money and make business for school.
It’s because you didn’t have the money and the network. As someone working in VC I can assure you only those startups get funding who are already rich and have papas contacts or from their own schools it’s the sad reality. I’ve had some amazing ideas pitched to me but all get rejected and ideas like these get approved. FYI This is not the first education loan company. It’s just one that’s used it network and PR to make it what it is
I just downloaded their iOS app, as an iOS Engineer myself I can create better UI/UX in a week than what they came up after 2 years of work I guess? I mean the idea isn't looking promising where people already suffer from loans and interest rate.
its not about tech or talent ..its just about pedigree (Ivy league grads + big 4 experience ..you get funded ... doesnt't matter whether you got a great product or idea ..frankly speaking this whole industry is a scam ..even VC's dont care about "business" ..they wanna sell "founder" to the partners and potential investors ..everybody get paid ..nobody actually cares about building a business that makes money.
I don’t know which app you’re talking about…. The EDUFI app I can’t see it on the playstore? and it says on their website their app is launching end of Jan, I think you may be looking at an old version or maybe another app
Best wishes but I don't think the model is sustainable. It appears like a charity for now. Just because they have managed to raise funding, it doesn't mean that the business will generate equivalent value.
She's v talented but Got disappointed when she says again n again that charity is not sustainable n her expressions were like why charity if my loans are there...is interest sustainable? But its sustainable for edufi n probably those who can afford them.. Yes u wanna make profits thru interests n u are not interested in charity work but at least show some respect to those who wanna do charity to those who cant afford ur loans.. The point are u making is that give loans to students who can return them with interest n dont talk abt students who cant afford to pay back the loan n also dont give charity to those students bcoz thats not sustainable 😂 P.S my impact meter has proved that charity can be sustainable
