wow its amazing that she's not lived here and moved back to help the country with a real issue, I wish this app was there when I needed to go to college, I would've been able to afford a private college, if a monthly plan like this was available
EduFi has shariah compliance certificate because they don't charge any interest actually, its a flat service charge of 1.4%
Flat service charge is interest just in a different packaging.
@@parcelplusaustin5745 yeah no s*it sherlock and any Islamic Finance advisor will tell you that's not considered interest. so its still shariah compliant.
im actually super excited for this app to launch, the website shows its only a 2.3% charge per month which is the cheapest i've been able to get from anywhere recently, my bank is charging me double that....
Edufi seems like a game-changer, especially in the medical education sector. The high costs of education, around 15-16 lacs, can be a significant burden for many families. Edufi's approach could indeed be a lifeline for those who want to provide quality education for their children without resorting to bank loans.
EduFI model involves dealing with interest (usury or riba), which is prohibited in Islamic finance. They should consider transitioning to a more Sharia-compliant model.
Muzamil I’ve been following your podcast for a while and this is probably my favourite one so far, she’s so different, humble and she seems like one of the most promising businesswomen that Pakistan has yet seen
This idea helps make education available to everyone in Pakistan, even those who may not have a lot. It's about giving all students a chance to learn and succeed, no matter where they come from.
I love women entrepreneurs. She is trying to put her investor relations abroad to use in our country…and if she manages to pull off her vision then what does it mean for Pakistan? What it means is that a country which is drowning in debt will get international capital directed to
1) our country
2) to a sector that is very under funded by the government.
It’s a net positive for Pakistan.
unfortunately, this seems like a loan shark app, no offence, she never mentioned interest rate at which loan will be provided, on the website it is hard to find, also she lost thought process on 7 percent interest, it would be higher than 22 percent, or else, all those 4 million usd can go to the conventional banking earning more instead of investing here for a burn, no hate just my opinion, whatever you do you do great, tbt
she didn’t loose thought process at all, she answered the interest quesifon with complete clarity. Also it’s on the website the interest rate which is 2.3 percent per month, which is the cheapest rate for a consumer loan in Pakistan right now”
Great Job ❤
@@ayeshamahmood8059 mutliply 2.3 percent per month by 12 , hence proving my point, I hope it never becomes a scam I can never wish for it
@ayeshamahmood8059 Exactly, I checked the rate on their website and its 1.4% per month
Too cheap as per current economic situation.
I don’t understand why our nation is so confused. On one side we write everywhere “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”. On other side we keep on introducing interest products. This is the major reason our country is going behind every passing day. We don’t have a clear vision of who we are & what we should stand for 😊
@@parcelplusaustin5745 there should be interest products but not with punishing rates, our country needs this, I hope I am proven wrong on this
She learned about out and call but cannot dumb it down??
How does that work?
I don’t understand why our nation is so confused. On one side we write everywhere “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”. On other side we keep on introducing interest products. This is the major reason our country is going behind every passing day. We don’t have a clear vision of who we are & what we should stand for 😊
All that talk about education is well and good but what is the point of taking loans to get an education for which there won't even be jobs for, after you graduate. Sad to say there really aren't many jobs in Pakistan outside of tech and some business fields
Your choices and horizon expands once you graduate no matter which country you’re. Most graduates aren’t wise enough to apply abroad and not applying abroad is like 100% loss. I see so many people from other countries directly getting jobs somewhere else
@@therandomchannel9226 yes I agree with that and tbh education loans for foreign studies is also something we should look at. Here we dont even have one single bank that offers student loans for foreign studies whereas in India there are dozens and 80 percent of Indian students going to USA take student loans and end up doing quite well
These words:- (I believe that the technology should used to solve real problems. If you are solving real problems the money will come and will flow forget about money flow then if you are solving a real problem)
As 19 year old I learn alot about business entrepreneurship startups and many more but the idea which she is propagating about is really awesome it is really show her maturity as entrepreneure.❤
Seriously this guy is a gem.
So she said she moved to pakistan for thre first time in her life in October 2021
And the she said she would frequently go to Pakistan to work in her charity?
Which one was it??
she says in the podcast that came back to Pakistan for holidays in the summer as a kid, but moved to Pakistan for the first time to help provide higher education to us, why are we as a country so negative, the one girl whose trying to help our literacy rates is also getting criticized on when she moved back lol
58:00 is a very good idea by Muzammil. there are tons of organizations and business offering scholarships on colleges and universities. But big chunk of these scholarships go into drain. If this charity thing gets integrated with a single platform this is will be cool.
Dear Muzamil,
I am disappointed that you didn't discourage the interest and actually promoted it by doing this podcast.
Very informative and useful
Doing a valuable series of Vlogs, aimed at outstanding national personalities.
An interesting idea. I think this can bring more opportunities for students, teachers and education sector overall.
Loan means soood. And sood is battle against Allah. So be careful with it
Inshort saari games Soood ki ha :o
I think in this system SUCCESS RATE will be less as there's some interest there and I don't think so people with awareness with interest will apply for it. If you really want to empower students then kindly GIVE THEM INTEREST FREE LOAN AND DON'T BURDENISED STUDENT UNTIL THEY ARE DOING THEIR OWN JOB.
Let me know your feedback on this👇👇👇
I just downloaded their iOS app, as an iOS Engineer myself I can create better UI/UX in a week than what they came up after 2 years of work I guess? I mean the idea isn't looking promising where people already suffer from loans and interest rate.
its not about tech or talent ..its just about pedigree (Ivy league grads + big 4 experience ..you get funded ... doesnt't matter whether you got a great product or idea ..frankly speaking this whole industry is a scam ..even VC's dont care about "business" ..they wanna sell "founder" to the partners and potential investors ..everybody get paid ..nobody actually cares about building a business that makes money.
I don’t know which app you’re talking about…. The EDUFI app I can’t see it on the playstore? and it says on their website their app is launching end of Jan, I think you may be looking at an old version or maybe another app
Don’t know which app you downloaded. Theirs is going live according to their website at the end of Jan 2024
I'm concerned about the situation, as it appears to potentially involve unethical financial practices that could be likened to white-collar crime. Could you please clarify the interest rates on these loans? these graduates have no idea what is going on in pakistan are being specifically trained to target the market and take advantage of financially deprived individuals in Pakistan. This approach, driven by capitalistic motives, doesn't seem to address the underlying problems but rather focuses solely on business and market opportunities.
The interest rate is written clearly on the website. How are you jumping to unethical financial practices? Seems like you are sour
I was going to mention the same points down but saw yoour comment. Imo, she have never lived here and doesn't understand the true macroeconomicswhy people don't go to college. Then there is job shortage, so many people with loans might not be able to repay them thus creating more debt. I think she just her to try this out and she will be 1st to leave the space when things go south.
Very insightful
Bahut Aalaa Podcast

You should probably call someone from the tribal areas. You and people could get insights about the region and what the people up there have been through.
It will create a capital diversion from conventional banking to fintechs which is the need of the hour.
ooh m y god..she is so beautiful and successful......we are proud of her......
Very interesting, Back in 2011 I once presented this idea to my classmates for funding kids for their school education. But none showed any interest. They thought I want to take their money and make business for school.
but i think its a great feeling, you think before
Amazingly podcasted, as guest said, this business idea is already been implemented and up & running in our neighboring country India, Thanks for sharing and and hosting such eye-opening program, hats off to Muzamil; A comon man can plan to study abraod and make his sucessful career. But why not to hit full-bright scholarship program , any chance to get it ? @Muzamil forgot to ask this question; well i belive many of us pakistanis are good in grades, so many of us really need to seek a way to get a scholarship, any advise from audiance ?
Muzammil bhai plz make sure to add time staps in video
This is not an education loan platform rather just another student immigration agency....
These are the services listed in there app ...
1.Application Write-up
2.International Student Accommodation Guidance
3.Profile Evaluation
4.Courses Exploration
5.IELTS exam prep
6.Visa Guidance
7.Guidance Webinars and much more
not a single mention regarding Loan and her company is about to turn profitable in next 6 months... with 200k users atleast have signed up 😂
Why no mention of her real business on the podcast????
You’re downloading the wrong app…. Edufi’s app hasn’t launched yet, their website says it’s launching Jan 2024
She’s just a rich pakistani politician’s daughter and if she doesn’t know how to dumb it down then she doesn’t know the concept - getting into MIT without funding/scholarship isn’t a Herculean task
The app shows different services as compared to what she outlines and it’s just a loan shark app at the end of the day
Anyways huge fan of tbt and muzamil but not the guest this time
How can she be a politicians daughter when her and her family haven’t even lived in Pakistan?
I am planning to do something like this but for airline pilots
Well muzammil Bhai Qaiser Ahmad raja wali podcast ni aai.
🎉 Riyadh and Saudi 30 years back was still better than todays Pakistan.
Best wishes but I don't think the model is sustainable. It appears like a charity for now. Just because they have managed to raise funding, it doesn't mean that the business will generate equivalent value.
how did I miss this actually
LA ILAHA ILLALLAH MUHAMMADUR RASULULLAH
default hojaenge sb aisa lagta hai
Itni English mujhe aa jayee na main Har jaga tabahi machaa dun
First of all such children should join the politics and play positive role to change the Sanrio otherwise it will be very difficult to spend a lot on them and at the end they leave the country so need to change the base basically
dont spread missconception,if loan is sood runnnnnn
Add chapters 😊 okay 😊🧐❓
You were talking alot in urdu as compared to previous podcasts

Good job we need more female startup founders in this country
Yes we dooo rightttttt
No time stamps, chapters, do add them. Muzammil keep bringing up ivy league students in the podcast , they provide vision to Alevel students like us❤
couldnot get what she is trying to convey.besimple if you want to help poor
Interest charging scheme. Preying on own people. Sick.
IIT is better than MIT !
She looks like the brainwashed tower operator who worked with Jack in Oblivion. Good movie
It was gud until it was her own life and career
But as soon as she starts to talk abt edufi her own startup .. it was all bullshit .. also her own grip on her own product is weak and anothr startup to flop..
I hope they prove me wrong but frm podcast it feels lame and bullshit idea with no impact
I’m from Lahore, Pakistan 🇵🇰 I left Islam after reading Quran and listening Adam Seeker, Sahil Bhai, Zafar Heretics and Harris Sultan. I need your help, Sir…………..
I wonder what in quran made you leave islam, I've always heard people converting to islam after reading Quran. Can you please mention what in made you leave islam, may be someone of us will clarify. May Allah guide you to the right path.

What a joke Adam seeker ran away from Amir haq and he has debunked all Adam seeker arguments and mufti yasser wajidi has distort all these guys. I dare any of these guys that you name to debate sheikh Allahyari or Amir haq or Mufti yasser wajidi.

Again some priviledged guest!
Her accent 😂😂😂
No offence but you should speak like an Ordinary Pakistani Speaks
She grew up in Saudi....if you have ever interacted with someone who was brought up in another country, you'd know that their English accent is a lot different. There is no need to judge brother
she's an overseas Pakistani wth did you expect her to sound like
typical judgemental pakistani
after all 1:13 min long podcast you came up with this?
You don't even know how to write offense, yet you're criticizing her accent?
Can anyone please tell me how I can find the contact details of Alena ? Email or anything
