    Sheng! I absolutely love hearing you tell this story! I know we really bonded over our “European Abroad” experiences as there’s a magic to that ‘other world’! Exposure to the mix of an international school too! That only GOING and connecting with can give someone true “emotional understanding” as you say! Talk about having “led a similar life path”- as you spoke about & revisited in one of your recent #SHORTs. Oooof ALL CONNECTED. That’s for sure!

      Thank you Olivia for recognizing that and seeing me :) Not only the European part but also the Asian AND American experience too! I'm so lucky to have had these backgrounds and opportunities, many of which were gifted to me without anything done from my side.

    Thank you for sharing your experience it sounds amazing. I decided not to study an MBA, I found something I felt more passion about. I live in Montreal, Canada and I studied the Master in Human Systems Intervention in the Concordia University. And I agree with you it was a great experience, even that I was working full time at the same time. But I didn't pay that much, here in the province of Quebec the residents get an special fee. Hope all the best and keep having fun.

    I completely agree. Having an MBA myself, I feel these overpriced programs are outdated, and business schools need to rethink the ROI, as they can’t squeeze students like they used to.

    Hi Sheng, I love your videos! There are real insights in what you share. I’m a Londoner in the Oxford-London startup eco-system. Did you work for Balderton? If you did, I’d love you to a video about VCs what you liked and what you didn’t. What you say about the social connections is true. Although I didn’t do an MBA, I know quite a few Oxford Saïd MBA grads and they say the same. Thanks for doing these videos 🙏🏼

    Would like to know what is your opinion on the EMBA. If personal relationships was the most valuable asset you can gain from the FT MBA then an EMBA would not be worth the price ?

    • @ShengHuang
      @ShengHuang  Рік тому

      It depends on your goals (what role, industry, region) and what you're lacking (skills, education, background, connections, exposure). I did an in-depth decision making tree in this video: ua-cam.com/video/vrmtyucKyXs/v-deo.html. It might answer of your questions. There's also a quicker answer in today's video I just posted: ua-cam.com/video/PcFvIWVz9lM/v-deo.html. Also if the EMBA is paid for by your employer then it might be worth the price.

    Is it really a good investment by doing higher education? What mean is, will you get back the money that you paid for? Or are we putting ourselves into more debt that can take several years to pay it off and postpone our other plans like buying a house and starting a family?
