If the Fiesta was the number 1 selling car, why get rid of it, that's taken away a huge chunk of the market . Also the new Puma has gone the route of a huge touch screen with every control built into it like a tablet / iPad. This leads to controlling things like the heating more difficult due to the lack of tactile controls that you can work simply by physical muscle memory. If you are now allowed to play with your phone while driving, how is a tablet on the dashboard acceptable. A lot of car owners are now starting to say big touchscreens are too complicated. Also noticed that it's only gone one stalk on the steering column now. So all indicator controls, wiper controls, and high beam controls are now on the same stalk, looking very crowded and complicated. Not a good thing in my opinion. Final styling change is why have they done away with the diffuser and exhaust pipe. The ST line is the sports trim and should have these features. The styling at the back seems to be along the lines of making it look like an electric car, a trend other manufacturers are doing. Me and my wife used to have the pre facelift and loved it, sadly when we saw the facelift photos and specs, we chose something else. Along with downsizing and reducing the bhp or the ST Puma, I can't quite figure out Fords marketing strategy at the moment.
I have loved my Fiestas and do not like the Puma. What is laughable is the guy in the video says the Puma is narrower yet the diagram clearly states that the Puma is 1850 wide and the Fiesta 1735! What else is incorrect? Couldn't be bothered to watch any more once I'd spotted this error.
Absolutely gutted the Fiesta ST has been discontinued. Looking at Yaris GR.
This just smacks of sheer desperation. The new Fiesta....is the new Suzuki Swift. Simple.
