Well, finally got finished building this house here in Colorado. Finally get to pay a little more attention to my '23 Colorado TB. Thanks for sharing this, I'm impressed. Gonna look into one of these things a bit more. Cheers!
Looks great! Just purchased a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado Z71 in glacier blue metallic. My RSI SmartCap EVOa Adventure (no windows in the gull wing side doors) will be installed tomorrow morning! I will only use for stowing camping gear for our small Casita travel trailer that we will be towing. Interested in the shelf that you plan to install. Just subscribed. Look forward to more videos.
Very nice!!! I hope you enjoy the new truck and the new cap. Mine had been great. I just released the video yesterday of the shelf. But I'll have a big overview video of the truck coming soon. I'm glad you enjoyed.
Hello again, Tony Thank you for another Great Video 👍 The new cap looks great. I hope you will do a in use Video, at some point. I enjoyed watching today's video. ☺️
@TonyTheTechnician Hello again, Tony Thank you for the quick response. We're seeing what works for you. Including what options we may not have thought of. We get to see how it works out through your channel. Something I like to know more about is how you went and sold all those parts so quickly. It seems like I was just watching you talk about doing that. And now you have sold everything. All I can say, Wow. Take care for now.
@georgeferlazzo7936 thank you and ya well I figured if I tried to sell all that stuff myself it would have been a headache to try and find someone interested. So I actually asked the owner of the shop who installed the bed cap if he knew anyone interested in just buying it all in a package deal and he said absolutely and a few days later when the cap was ready to install they also stopped by and picked up all of my previous stuff. So it worked out perfectly. I figured since he owned an off road shop he would know alot more people into this kind of stuff then I would. Thank you again I always appreciate your input. I definitely think this is a better option for what I need the truck for. And I'll have more videos coming on the rest of the changes 👍
@georgeferlazzo7936 ya honestly I got lucky on that one haha. Otherwise it would have been sitting in my garage for like a month trying to sell it lol. 👍
Tony, great review. I jut purchased a new Canyon and ordered this cap. It was good to see all the new features. I was wondering if you noticed any change in your gas milage with the cap on?
Well with just the cap on, my mileage went back up to where it was before I had installed my old bed rack and tent. So if you are just running the cap and not running a tent or anything then your mileage should barely be affected 👍
Tony question have you had any issues when you truck is cold on the first drive shift from 1st to 2 being rough to the point that it slams? I got a 23 Colorado Tb with 27000miles and if I don’t let it warm up it does it every single time
You are coming up on your first service for the trans which I believe is at 30k. I would take it in and have the fluid level checked, if not it could be a number of things causing it.
@@TonyTheTechnician yeah well only in the mornings. It didn’t start doing it around 17000 miles before that I would get in the truck start it up and take off with no issue . Now I have to sit there and warm it up for 5 minutes or so and it won’t do it or if it does its barely noticeable or it shift perfect
@OscarOsR ya I mean hard shifts can be caused by multiple things such as worn clutch packs, bad sensors, bad solenoids. And a few other things but those commonly cause the issue to happen even after warm up. Usually dirty or low fluid can cause it to happen only when cold. Bc the fluid is thicker and hasn't been circulated to the proper places. I would get it check out before it gets worse though.
Ooooooo I like it !! 😍😍😍 I wish man !
Thanks man. I'm so happy with it. Can't wait to get the rest done

Very nice. Congrats. Thank you. Ya this thing is amazing
That is a clean looking cap! I like that it doesn’t have any clamps on the bed rails to get in the way of the molle panels.
Thank you! And ya I agree!! I was very happy when I saw the flush mounts
Great looking rig, Tony!
Thank you!!!
smart caps are so slick, congrats on the upgrade.
Thank you!! Agreed, I love this thing

@TonyTheTechnician That was excellent option 👌 I just wondered how you came across a buyer or buyers so quickly, I'm glad it worked out for you 😀

Nice.. It’s A Great Purchase
Agreed. I love this thing so far. Thank you
That really is such a good looking cap. Looks so slick.
Thank you. Ya I have wanted one for along time and finally decided to get one. I love it so far
Love your videos. I have a 23 Colorado tb and I would really love to build it out just like this.
Thank you. I appreciate it

Tony, where did you buy your step rails and what brand are they. Thanks and I like your channel!
Thank you. They are one of the oem options from gm
@@TonyTheTechnician Thanks!
Another solid video,Tony. We will release a Portable car Vacuum. Can we invite you to do a review? We have reached out for an inquiry.
Can the lock button caps be turned so the tab is pointed in the down position instead of the up position as it appears in the video?
I don't believe so I think a little tab slides into a hole on the lock. I'll take a closer look later
Just ordered mine today. How is that back hatch to the tailgate as far as seal goes?
Seals very well. It's nice and snug

Hmm that is weird. I have 21000 miles and have not experienced that. And it's only when it's cold?

How does it stay locked so no one can open when you're inside?
You can still lock all the latches and just push the lever shut from inside. Even when locked the red release button will still open the latch.
My steak pocked is cracked rip 😢
Ohh dang man. I wonder how that happened lol 🤣👍
