This is very useful review. Thank you so much for sharing! Been chexking these palettes but can't really imagine them by just pictures... I really appreciate this❤
Being new to this world I am so pleased to have this comparison. Thank you.
You’re welcome I know when I was first looking at these pallets it took me a while to really get the idea of how different they were and why they were designed like this so since I have so many I always try to get them out when I’m looking at a new one
SUPER HELPFUL! Thx for showing all of these together! Now I think I will buy the Triple Decker Pallete! 👍
Let me know how it goes. I do like that one alot. It's now my granulation palette.
Ok finally decided. Using your links, because you are so amazing to share all this info with us. Appreciate your time
I have a number of Mijello palettes (not to mention paints) including the triple decker palette. I really like most of them but I was disappointed the Bulletproof palette had wells on the lid as well as the base. I solved the problem by using double-face tape to add full pans to the base so that I would have 36 wells without paint in the lid dripping on the paint in the base. The 55-well is a little too big for my painting area but it looks like a great palette. Btw, there is a product called "Sugru" that molds like clay but hardens in the air and sticks to literally anything. I use it to make hooks for my equipment I want to hang in weird places. (Sugru by Tesa - All Purpose Super Glue, Moldable Craft Glue for Indoor & Outdoor).
Awesome Jackie! So cool 😎 ❤
Thank you for comparing all the palettes it's so helpful 🥰 and the paint look nice 😍 I can't wait to gwar your thoughts on them
You’re welcome I’m glad I got the other pallets out it was tricky because I don’t have a lot of space but it’s nice to see how they lineup against each other especially in size
I wonder why watercolor artists are addicted to palettes? I have so many that I’ve lost count. I even have one, perfectly planned if I say so myself. So perfect that gnats fell in love with it too! 😢😮 every time I open it out come little gnats that fell in love with the greens. I’m kidding about the perfectly planned, but not about those darn gnats!!
I have mission gold pure pigments in one of the smaller mijello palettes and I thought, because they were dry, that it would be okay to leave it--but like youre saying, sone of them move/fall out. Have you had that with other palette types, like normal pans? Is it a quality of this type of palette? I love the space these palletes provide. Great video, thank you!
This is for sure more of a studio palette and most leave them open on their tables. If you spread the paint out in. thin layer and let it dry, then add more it may stay in the well better. It improves over time but some formulas honestly like Daniel smith or Mission gold have less honey and will dry so much they crumble. Try the thin, then thick layer.
Very very helpful! I think the triple decker is the way to go unless there's a huge studio table! Thinking of the triple decker now for my MH. Are you a triple Virgo, lol? 😊
Im putting rhe double decker on my future purschae list..
Jaqueline - thanks so much for comparing these great palettes. Personally, I love the surface that they call "bullet proof"! It holds up so well compared to plastic. Do you know if they have palette templates like Robex to print off for free?
it does for sure.
I love the idea to add a dam
Hello, the palette is great, but the colors fall out after drying, is there a trick to make them stay in the cups better, thank you very much
Hello, I am looking for a mijello palette (16:36 like this one) in which I can put my tablet watercolors. Which modals are compatible?
The White Knight watercolors are Russian products.
You have 100 times more colors than Da Vinci himself had and yet you produce a tiny fraction of the quality.
