2 or 3 days ago, one youtuber who I watch, he's went to the Villages and walk down the street, talking about the home . He used to be an Realtor in Florida.
Pasties are huge in Northern Wisconsin and especially in the Upper Peninsula. The miners loves them because they were a full meal and yet very portable. They would carry them into the mines with them for a good lunch.
Are you, all licking your lips on this travel? I know the heat and humid conditions would do me in, but I still love to follow you both and your postings! Please enjoy every minute you have together! And all of a sudden, I cannot bend over and put my socks on!
We agree Brownwood Square Farmer’s Market is so fresh & such delicious products to purchase!! But the weather is so hot & humid!! We adore really tasty tomatoes to make Tomato Sandwiches or BLT’s🤩🤩
It was so much fun watching your tour of the farmers’ market !!! Our farmers market has relocated to a very small space one the snowbirds leave . My husband and l are reverse snowbirds, our neighbors call us Sunbirds bc we are here in the summer. The local produce looked great . Last week we picked up peaches and tomatoes in GA and the peaches were incredible, but the tomatoes just OK , a step up from supermarket tomatoes. There is nothing better than NJ tomatoes. That’s the only thing l miss about NJ . Blessings , D.
Jerry and Linda truly are the Justin Beiber and Bette Midler of the Villages! Where ever they go, fans flock for a selfie or perhaps a little group hug! And Gizmo is the Scooby Doo of the Dog Park! Good job folks!
I peek in almost every Saturday on the webcam just to "witness the pageantry" at the Farmer's Market. Often wanted to see it at ground level. How thoughtful and kind of you both to give us a walkthrough, made my day. Thank you!!! - That little dog on the table stole the whole show!
You had my mouth watering and my tummy growling showing all that beautiful looking produce. Thanks for the trip to the farmer's market!!!!! What variety and choices! You are so lucky to be there!!!
Wish I was there ~ ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ! Thanks for sharing !!! Never doubt the fact that you both are a means by which the world is filled with joy. Especially for those who cannot be there but can view and enjoy your adventures from afar. Linda brings a youthful exuberance and you Jerry bring great Indiana wisdom and wit that truly lift others up !❤️Shadow
So good. Love your Farmer’s Market 👏👏 In summer and winter here in Australia we go early, wear a hat, slap on sunscreen and carry water. Its brutal in that hot sun 😎
@@JERRYANDLINDA Our climate here is very similar to Jacksonville so our summers are like yours. At home we never use air con, just ceiling fans and we dry clothes outside so I don’t own a clothes dryer. Electricity is expensive and we just acclimatise, get our work done early in summer and stay indoors during the hot part of the day. We don’t have daylightsaving summertime here either. A very different lifestyle I think although we do live in a small retirement community of 500 units 😎
Great tour you guys. Jerry, you look tuckered out. Time to get re-acquainted with your recliner and the conditioned air. I loved hearing Linda in the background talking with everyone,
Linda is the PR person and Jerry is the business side of this operation. Great mix. No wonder you’ve been together and making it work good all these years. Good on you both!!!! ❤❤❤one heart for each of you 😊
I have been looking for Patty pan squash in Florida since I moved here and no one knew what it was. I see they call it pancake squash. Probably why I couldn't find it. It is so good and I am not a sweet squash eater. I like the savory. That is one of my favorite squashes. Thanks for showing that! Butter salt and pepper is all you need for that.
Thanks for taking us to the farmers market. We have a couple small farmers markets here in Corpus Christi but nothing like the variety at the Villages farmers market. That was fun, love it when you take us with you on your outings.
Linda, you buy all these Veggies, you will be cooking for Jerry all week, and finally take Sunday off and Give Jerry some of that Walmart Stew in the Can! (LOL)
You know Jerry, you looked like you were getting too hot! I'm in the process of creating "Chill Kits" for the car and house. Too hot kills more people than you think. And it's preventable. Blessings.
I just love seeing the villages with you now that we have been there. We went down to BROWNWOOD while we visited. If our family would move to Florida, we would be “villagers” in a heartbeat. Y’all r such a treat!
Florida seems to know how to run a good farmers market. I was in Naples this past Decemebr and my friends too me to theirs. Dang I was impressed with what they had there.
We had the opportunity to go to the farmer's market while on our lifestyle visit and really enjoyed it. Can't wait to be able to go on a regular basis!
We're having FL weather here in NYC today. I love Farmers' Markets and the one you're showing from Brownwood looks terrific-I'm sure everything is fresh and delicious. Thanks for sharing.
I don't get to the market often, but when I do I have such a marvelous time shopping for fresh produce and trying something new. I agree with you Jerry, up on Long Island the tomatoes were a deep red and we use to eat them right off the vine! Yummy! Thanks again for a great video showing the another wonderful event we enjoy here in The Villages! ❤️🧡
When we come to Florida we always enjoy the great local produce and Seafood. We get Summertime Fruit up here in Ontario but it doesn’t compete with Southern fruits.
Our Florida tomatoes haven’t been the same since we started getting hurricane after hurricane over the state. Salt water was picked up and dumped on the farmland. That’ll mess up the taste.
Great video and what a lovely farmer's market. Being a fellow Hoosier, we love Indiana green beans and red garden fresh tomatoes. I live in the mid-Atlantic and I never buy a tomato in the grocery store.
Good job Linda and Jerry, we don’t make it out to the farmers market that often. I never go by myself otherwise I’d be coming home with a ton of stuff, enjoyed the colors and different foods on display. I hope you bought something for Gizmo…👍👍
Great Job, Jerry and Linda! As I mentioned to you in a live show a few weeks ago, we just made our first visit to The Villages and we loved it! We came to see my in-laws and took a trolley tour to learn more about The Villages. We currently live in Savannah and we are not that far away. We are talking about doing a lifestyle visit to really learn all about what our retirement future could be in The Villages. We watch your show for some great content and fun! Keep it going!
Thank you for the trip around the Farmer's Market. The Villages is fortunate to have a farmer's market on property. Sweet corn has just become available here in northern Illinois. $8 for 1 dozen ears of sweet corn is the price for sweet corn in eastern Iowa. Tomatoes should be available in about 3 weeks. Pasty is a meat pie brought over from the Cornwall region of England. Mineral Point, Wisconsin is known for their pasties.
ugh, I grew up in central Illinois and I've sold many pickup loads of sweet corn for 10 cents an ear or a dollar a dozen. and we thought we were making good money at those prices.
So is the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and we made them and poured brown gravy over them. Yum! We just used ground beef or cut up roast, carrots, potatoes and salt and pepper
Thanks for sharing your Thursday adventures! Love going to our farmers market. I am jealous you already have home grown produce readily available. Ours won’t be ready till much later (Michigan). Oh, a pasty is a meat pie & popular in the U.P. Of Michigan.
Jerry! Wash your mouth out with soap! The word is pronounced Pass-tea. lol I think your pronunciation ( Pace-tees), is for those other things that shall not be mentioned on a family program. This was a fun look around the market. Some very different products than what we find at our farm markets on Vancouver Island. Both a culinary packed experience.
What a great Farmer's Market..Love that gorgeous Pottery. I have my eye on the Lobsta! Nice that they had plants and trees for sale. I was wondering if Avocados grow in FLA?
Love this video Jerry & Linda - what an amazing Farmers Market, such great prices. Nothing this unique in my area - I'm jealous ! Big Hug to Gizmo!!😂 💕
Oh Jerry, your eyes looked really red and bothered, your allergies?? or was it the heat?? hope you are guys are doing well!! Mom and I loved the market when we were there on our life style visit. I bought some jewelry from Grace, she rolls paper to make the jewelry, really pretty, and a great lady!!!

Great look for Linda.
IThe word is “pastee” which is a meat pie with ground beef, potatoes, carrots and rutabaga. It’s delicious…you should try it.
We have pasty suppers at church and we use stew meat, potatoes and make it like a pie. Family has Cornwall England roots where they originated. Yummy!
I’m with you Jerry, nothing beats a good tomato in the summer
Wow, sooo many yummy things!! 🎉🎉❤❤
Pasties are huge in Northern Wisconsin and especially in the Upper Peninsula. The miners loves them because they were a full meal and yet very portable. They would carry them into the mines with them for a good lunch.
The lead miners in southwestern Wisconsin ate pasties...this would have been in the 1800's.

What a great farmers market! The produce looks wonderful, and lots of fun 'extra' things! Great way to spend a day!
We agree!
We often buy The Villages Grown Lettuce from a health food store in Gainesville. It is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced.

That was the best farmers market I have ever seen. I would need a truck and have it full of money to go there.

Great video, enjoy these out and about ones. Would you say that the markets for certain items are cheaper than Walmart or Publix?
I would say probably cheaper than publix I'm not sure about Walmart.
prices seem a little high if you ask me for a market. no deal here, but plenty of price couching cause they think all villagers have plenty of money.
A little late today, but better late than never! The produce was beautiful. I love the idea of a fruit tree, but hear they bring rats to the yard.
