The unseen "other" who is painted as the outcast/rebel that the "normals" have to come to terms with. While race isn't specified, one can only imagine what the "other" was considered to be at the time of this films release. From the Prelinger archive. Presented for historical reference. Wow, the memories! Unfortunately, some areas in the Deep South are still quite segregated. I remember integrating the Dallas county school district in 1968. The hubby and I raised the children on the east coast much better environment. Thank you for posting😇

I was Bruce. My brothers were Bruce---we attended Bret Harte Jr. HS in LA in the mid-60's. We were among the very few non-blacks. It was miserable. No color is above being prejudiced or racist. May almighty God look upon us as we tear each other apart and teach us a better way.

Sabrina C. No, there are similarities, but I won't get killed by whites as easily as then. Slavery of the mind due to ignorance is what the deal is now. Power up, educate yourself✊

I just came across this one, Mike. Thank you so much for sharing these films with us. There is so much for us to learn so we may start thinking and counting the cost of our actions.

Incredible... the year I was born..I'm guessing my late brother may have seen this, maybe in Civics class? I understand the reason for not showing "Bruce Jones", he could've been anyone who is of Color. I think of all of our other people of color... Native Americans, Hispanics, Asians... Take your pick, groups or individuals who pre-judge are as the song from South Pacific states; "You have to be Carefully Taught." Thank you for sharing...😌💕💕💕
