- It's mid April it's time to start our seeds. In this video I review how I start my seeds indoors inside a grow tent that I built and then talk about all of the equipment that I use.

Solo cups do work great!!
Nice set up. We just fixed up my mom's growth chamber. We have four glass shelves and lights and we are set for sprouting seeds. I never start as many seeds as I'd like though! ;)
LadybugGirlShow Yeah, it is tempting to start a ton of things and "find space" for them later but I have over planted in the past and that ends up hurting the growth later in the summer. Thanks for watching!
Great info here; thank you for producing this video! Question: what type do wood do you use for your raised garden beds? I'm guessing pressure treated is to be avoided. Also, do you place a weed blocking material at grade before you fill the beds with soil? Thanks!
michaelscoots Thank you! I just use 2x12 pine. Not Pressure Treated. It actually holds up remarkably well. I am going on season 4 with these beds and they still feel very sturdy. Be sure to use screws to put them together. Nails will eventually pull out. I didn't do any weed barrier. If you were going to do a more shallow bed you will probably need it but the 12" of compost blocks the weeds.
we just had what should be our last frost a few days ago yet im in a zone 9 and im growing bananas outside with no protection.. same length season tho.. weird lol
