I love seeing this interaction. I’m only 21 and have lost both my parents to addiction in the last 4 years. Your drug addiction song came out about a year and a half before my dad passed. My mom just passed last month. I came back to listen to it because I remember listening to it with them. I always understood to the best of my ability the struggles they went through and hoped they would make it out. I don’t know you but I’m so proud of you and it brings me to tears seeing you be able to have this relationship with your daughter. Thank you for all you do and speaking for the parents, kids, friends and everything in between that can’t be here with us anymore.

I will always remember the walks too and from school 😊 that's what I miss the most and I will always remember the way she used to be so happy and excited to see me when I was just listening to her stories about the day 😂😂 they are things that can never be bought or replaced. I'm 60 days clean and sober today. I spent mother's day with my kids, we visited my mother. I am working on making amends with the mother of my children. We are no longer together. 10 yrs and 2 children but my addiction, my disease put a terrible strain on the relationship but we've remained close and friends. She's my best friend I'm hoping one day she'll be proud to say the same. A friend I'd made while in rehab showed me a song of yours and I love what you do man.

Never knew my father, my Mother was a VERY bad addict of everything tho, IT all started WHEN I was 5 years old... I was made to take care of my younger step siblings, AND unfortunately their FATHER was my demise. He started making me be the sitter, THE mother, and had to play the role that MY mother wouldn't... Available for his sickening, twisted pedophile ways. But ur music has REALLY helped me at times in my life!
