You should avoid New Mumbai , Thane Vasai stretch in evening and night due to very heavy truck traffic. Thane Godbunder road is prone to for traffic jams due to metro work and Ghat area, even police help in clearing traffic takes hours to clear the jam

If you have missed good food in Goa, that will mean you have not experienced Goa properly. Even the place of stay was not at all upto mark. Much better stay option are available within 50 meters of your stay and that too at a affordable rates.
Cruise control is very useful on expressways for tension free driving and great mileage. On normal 4 lane highways , you can also use it. But with variation in traffic, you will have to engage and disengage it continuously. Still, it's worth it.

Your efforts are appreciated but I was in your place, I wouldn't have risked my family for such long drive especially when there is one male who is leading everything and he only can drive the car. Next time, my request would be to have the journey split with necessary breaks specially at night.
Very well said …irrespective of the experience driving such long distances is very risky , especially when family is there. Rajkot Goa is way too long to drive without spliting. Night driving should be avoided at all costs.

My one confusion, I have vw taigun manual varient and wanting cruise control. Please tell about usefulness on our road conditions.

Pressure reduce kar liiiye to 35.

Depends on the weather. If it's cold, we switch off the engine otherwise AC runs with engine on.
