Thank you so much for posting this. I have been looking for it for decades! I have a fragment of the episode on an old VHS tape and have searched for the full episode in all sorts of ways ever since I recorded it. He really was a remarkable man, not only for his skill in painting but, to me, even more so for his humanity and humility.
Thank you so much for uploading these. Tom Keating is a hero of mine and a big influence, and I'm honored to see these episodes in great quality. As well as this one, which has never been uploaded anywhere to my knowledge.
Hello, I'm glad you like them. These two VHS cassettes had been sat on a shelf for decades. The times my wife said "Why don't you dump those old things, and that old VHS player, you will never use them again".
It is astonishing one coming from such a dismally deprived life and as gifted as he turned out to be should reach fame and excellence through forgery of the masters in art. I can only speculate what he could have achieved had he had even a modicum of advantage. It is to his perseverance and credit and love of art he is the genius he was. His breath of knowledge of master techniques amazes me. I have watched many of his videos. Thank you for highlighting him and his life. I am, and will always be, a great admirer of Mr. Keating.
He hated to see poor artists exploited by the upper echelons of the art establishment, like a latter-day Robin Hood. Flooding the market with fakes was a stroke of genius. As he said "serves them right".
Everything a painter should be....legend :)
