Does Japan Airlines really have the world’s best Economy Class? | Vancouver -Tokyo | November 2022

- Japan Airlines was recently awarded “World’s Best Economy Class (2023)” by Skytrax, and while we know that anything that Skytrax puts out should be taken with a pinch of salt, this is probably one of the few things that they got right. As for Japan Airlines, getting economy class right seems to be a lifelong mission, and it is also one of the areas that they surprisingly excel in.
Once again, I’m featuring the Japanese flag carrier’s Boeing 767 on a route from Vancouver to Singapore to show you why you should fly Japan Airlines if you have a chance to.

Beautiful country Japan, lived there, beautiful people, loved it greetings from Spain
Regarding the 2nd meal, JAL seemed to have increased the portion. It used to be just a cold sandwich many years ago (no meal trays!), when they flew 747s on this route.
When I flew JAL regionally in June, the catering out of Narita was great--but the catering out of the outport (in this case TPE) was lousy. The gap in quality was glaring, and I let them know. I Hope this jarring difference can be adjusted, positively of course! Cheers, Guy
I vomited in the bathroom after first meal.
Btw, WiFi is free on JAL domestic flights. Would be nice if they offered it free on international but tbh I purchased a WiFi coupon once during the pandemic so we could alert friends about any issues in route to Japan and the connectivity was very disappointing. Slow with frequent disconnections.
Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that. I'll probably briefly mention that on my future JAL video :)
I rode JAL before flying on a 747-400 from Vancouver to Tokyo back on 2010 but I was disappointed they retire 747 too soon
Agreed. And I scored a few rides on the upper deck, which was economy class with more leg room.
The lift of the wing and tail is made by Airbus, not Boeing, please confirm, thank you!
