Wow. You almost think you are watching compete robots in the same price category. Then you look up the price for xiaomi 299 Euros and Roomba 999 Euros.....what the hell?
However, it looks to me as if servicing parts like filters etc are much cheaper for the Irobot products, especially if you order them directly from a Chinese vendor like Banggood.
Not sure about that. Shipping is usually free (on gearbest). 3 pcs of side brushes for Roomba 15Euros, 2pcs for xiaomi 2,20 Eur. 3 pcs filter for Roomba 25 Eur, one for xiaomi 11,50, which is 34,50 Eur. Main brush for Roomba 30 Eur, for xiaomi 10,50. Even if the part were a bit more expensive, the price difference is huge. I can buy 3 xiaomi robots and still have money for a pile of parts. If shipping is a concern you can stock up on standard parts when u buy the robot. Also xiaomi is planning to open a shops world wide, already confirmed for my country.
Mi Robot is even cheaper now, around 250 Eur (on gearbest): www.gearbest.com/robot-vacuum/pp_440546.html?lkid=11425148 You can get almost four of them before reaching the price of the Roomba ...
The one on the link is not old, it is the current version as in the video. You can see it from the 'chimey' which is close to the edge, while it is close to the center on the so called upgraded version. Also the upgraded version is not released yet, it is in pre-sale, and imho not worth the price difference.
*I absolutely love this thing for cleaning all flooring surfaces **MyBest.Tools** even does a great job on throw rugs. Highly recommend! Cuts cleaning time in half!*
We have this robot, the roomba 980 and the top of the line samsung cyclone. Xiaomi by far is the most intelligent and best for hard floors and low profile carpets. Samsung is the best for deep pile carpets though.
i have the xiaomi one, the best purchase i've ever made and xiaomi always update the firmware to make it better. furthermore it is possible for you to integrate the vacuum into mi smart home system for automation.
I can confirm all your findings. Bought the Xiaomi and it is simply exceptional. On my floor (mixed tiles and rugs), it picks up every single pet hair.
xiaomi robot is made in china and i think you can buy one on alibaba. Since I am a Chinese and I buy everything on Taobao or official Xiaomi website, I could only give you an advice to seek for one on Alibaba
I had both. First the 980 iRobot which kept getting “lost” in my open concept living area and then the Xiaomi S50 v2 version. Prefer Roomba’s counterrotating rollers to the nylon bristles on the single Xiaomi roller since I had such issues with pet hair with a previous Roomba and the nylon bristle roller design. However, practically-and in absence of a pet currently-the Xiaomi has cleaned as well as the latest Roomba. Most importantly it can navigate the entire house without getting lost, error 17 codes, or running out of battery when unable to find its way back to base. The Xiaomi also does not ram or etch my furniture which was a huge disappointment with the Roomba. I still have marks on furniture let by my first Roomba a decade ago, and I saw little improvement in this regard. In the end, I returned the Roomba. If it is unable to navigate a room unattended, the whole purpose of a robotic vacuum disappears. I run the Xiaomi twice weekly. It must return to base prior to finishing the entire house to recharge, but has finished the job every time without exception. I REALLY liked the Roomba but it simply couldn’t finish the job due to the inferior navigation system. And my furniture thanks me as well.
Why does it seem that you guys are not happy that the Xiaomi Mi won this test? Please share your concerns, i am comparing devices atm and any input is welcome :)
That's because iRobot are the Apple of robot vacuum cleaners. Expensive, not better then the competition, and with a solid customer base. But the chinese are again showing the world that they can do better for less money.
Impressive! Hard to imagine Xiaomi could come up with such a good cleaner at such affordable price( 1699 CNY here in China),while a Roomba 980 costs 8999 CNY, I was considering buying a cleaner, after seeing this video, it's clear which one I'll pick. Thanks for sharing.
I have the Xiaomi for about 5 years now. I am very happy to have bought this vacuum robot. I have mostly hard floor but two small carpet areas. Though it is much better on vinyl than on (rough) tiles, the overall performance is good. Especially the good and easy to use app with perfect maps is second to none. Some robots do not come close even after more than 5 years of advancing technology. It is a very good robot. If it breaks down, I will buy the same one again, as I use a special mopping robot as well (though the second one, acquired just recently has a crappy app, especially the map sucks greatly.). The hybrid robots do not work for me at all.
IRobot has been sitting on the crown for too long, they may have forgotten to push themselves for improvements. I am glad to see a newer brand taking the lead.
colla 555 what's the Xiaomi cleaner price that you found? On xiaomi's Chinese site they are selling at only like 250usd while the irobot is at like 899usd....

This has been a great addition to our house🌼 Judging by the hair and dust accumulation it works as well or better than our Hoover Wind Tunnel 3. Cleaning and care instructions are excellent. We are using this twice per week as we have 2 dogs and are very pleased with the results.
Roomba seems to lose, but I have one that’s over 10 years old and it’s still working! So Roomba is definetely worth the extra money. Using things for a long time and not buying new stuff every year is eco-friendly, too.
I have a Roomba 876 and it does an excellent job with pet hair. It never leaves anything behind but the Xiaomi vacuum is extremely impressive. Awesome test!
Just got my Xiaomi today and already loving it. I got that clear brush error on my office carpet too; there was nothing clogging the brush though. This thing seems super efficient with its navigation and I had grass on my hardwoods from my pet that was totally cleared away. My dark colored hardwoods seemed totally clean. I was somewhat considering the high-priced iRobot 980 but after research, this seems like a MUCH better value. Money well spent!
We have two long hair cats an only hard floor. Both cats are loosing a lot of fur so to keep the rooms clean you have to vacuum every single day. That the moment we choose to buy a vacuum robot. We went for the Xiaomi due to the good reviews. I was sceptic at first but I have to say this little Xiaom does a great job! The small turret laser scans the room and the cleaning algorithm sends the robot in every little space it possibly fits in. We never had a problem of leftover fur anywhere (except the spots the robot can’t reach of course). For about 100 square meters it needs around 70 Minutes with 60 square meters cleaned (du to the map). It goes absolutely reliable under the couch and the bed, where even humans struggle to clean those places by hand. Of course this is no replacement for our big vacuum cleaner or wiping the floor. But it’s brilliant when it comes to cleaning all those fine fur tumble weeds our two Ragdoll cats distribute all over the flat.
Any chance you can perform the same test on the new Roomba S9 vs Roborock S6? Also, with your sand test, why don’t you weigh the sand before and after? This would give a better indication of the difference in %.
I'd love to see a review of the newest version of Xiaomi / Roborock (S50) vs Roomba 980. The new version is supposed to be a lot better on carpet, and also has carpet boost etc. Please make a video about that! :D
I have the 980 iRbobot Roomba. Several components have failed on in in only 3 months. However, their customer support is excellent! I find that with expensive electronics you want a company that is accessible and helpful.
I pick Xiaomi. Not just the price is very lower. Even irobot clean carpet better. I don not expect both robot to complete clean carpet in just one time. After daily work, carpet will be cleaned equally.
Amazing review buddy, thanks a lot, definitely looking forward to review this unit hand on as well, thanks again! :)

Roomba 676 is 300 euros now. I got one, set it up. I have vinyl plank flooring with two thin rugs next to kitchen area. If there is one reason to buy an older Roomba it's because of that bristle brush because it combs through those two rugs very efficiently and picks up stuff that fell down from cooking. Newer Roombas use two beater brushes which is not always the optimal idea, this 980 one has to suck stronger for the beaters to do their job.
NOTE: Roborock has a magnetic "virtual wall" sensor for use with magnetic tape BUT this sensor is always on so things like mains power cable under your floor, electrical equipment, speakers, lights and fans downstairs etc is a show stopper for this vacuum and causes it to not work, get stuck, miss sections, not enter rooms and so on. It may work in a controlled test, but in the real world it's very flaky due to this sensor.
Great review! But would have been handy to include pricing but I can Google that. I look forward to replacing my Romba 6xx whenever it dies as either of these is a big step forward. Cheers dude.
Xiaomi is so good that cleans your floors and at the end takes out your girlfriend on a date, by the time I came back home they were married and left for honeymoon, but hey at least I came back to a clean home!
I have both. Xiaomi has better navigation and larger battery life. Same surface takes between 115min to 120 every single time. The 980 from 115 to XXX somerimes it is charging in between, sometimes not. Alot of times it just gets lost and vaccums indefinetly until you had enough of the high pitched sound the motor makes and cacel the cleaning. If you had a neato or xiaomi you cannot live with the navigation that 980 offers it is that bad. The 980 is better built, comes with warranty and no cleaning of brushes on 980, but you can have 3 xiaomies for one 980....
The Roomba 980 is terrible when it comes to pet hair. I had the Roomba 595 Pet vacuum and it did a terrific job picking up hair from my 3 German Shepards. We were excited to upgrade to the 980 to get the better battery, higher suction power, auto switching between carpet and hardwood and more intelligent navigation. Unfortunately, the 980 and a replacement that was shipped to me both would trigger the full bin sensor early into a clean cycle even though the bin was far from full. The iRobot app allows the user to toggle to disregard the full bin sensor, but both the 980s I had would randomly quit vacuuming, they wouldn't even return home to the charging station. It's like they were on a timer to shutdown once the bin was detected as full even though they were set to disregard. Even with the bin sensor set to be disregarded, the vaccum would not start vacuuming with the full bin sensor tripped and the bin emptied. So every vacuum cycle would require emptying the storage bin, removing the filter, beating the dust out of the filter into the trash to empty it out and then take a paper towel to wipe the filter insertion area. Then the vacuum could start again. I would never recommend the 980 to a dog owner. The 980 was also getting hung up under cabinets where the 595 did not.
On your last test using the Chex you should have started the roomba going horizontal instead of diagonal. Also i believe it finishes it's cleaning by doing a final wall edge cleaning so not sure if you stopped the Roomba too soon?
wow, great video, planning and set up, rly well done. so far the best comparison video ive seen,gj EDIT: another question though, if you have multiple rooms on one level, does the xiaomi map all rooms first and then start its cleaning routine?
it maps it on the fly while cleaning and it goes along the walls first in all the way it can go and then takes the inner afterward.. here you can get an idea of the pattern of mine kitchen and livingroom and how it takes it on.i.imgur.com/vBbL1ab.png
When I need to use a vacuum to clean my vacuum there is something wrong.........Roomba. I spent just as much time vac-ing the debris left when I removed and emptied the cup/pulling off pet hair off the rollers, as it takes the Roomba the vac the floor. Dyson v10....empty the cup and go period. Also many have said the Dyson 'learns' so the 1st time may be slow/random however subsequent vacs the performance improves.
Why do you start all Roomba runs diagonally? It's like giving it disadvantage intentionally. Given the cleaning pattern it's using and also because I'm pretty sure most of the people will have dock station paralel with the walls and not diagonal, I believe this might have affected the test results.
Hi, have you had any issues with the wheel units gearboxes? I have an irobot roomba 780 and one gearbox has failed, they dont seem to last long, the gearbox casing falls apart and the gears dont mesh properly anymore. Im just wondering about the longevity of the mi robot wheel mechanics. also, Ive seen some negative reviews stating that the mi robot faults a lot on dirty brush error, have you had this problem? hope to hear from you, thanks :-)
Anyone else notice that the Xiaomi doesn't do a 2nd pass for large rooms? I have it vacuuming my basement and it seems to take ~ 110 minutes and does a single pass. It would be nice if it had to option to do 2 passes with a recharge.
Will the app be able to control several of these vacuums on different floors of the same house at the same time. How does one control them via the app if you have more than one of these vacuums?
each vacuum gets it's own name.that way the App can control each one..Not sure if you can use app to connect them under 1 button like ALL VACUUM..ALL HOME ect.
roomba just introduced the i7 with smart mapping would love to see your review especially on dark carpets since that is where i had my issue with the roborock s50
I have an old Roomba with bristle brushes. It is a nightmare to clean. I think I'd prefer the 980 solution. But for overall choice between the two, I'm not sure.
Olá sou brasileira, onde posso encontrar esses dois produtos? Tanto o Xiaomi Vacumm, quanto o Roomba 980? And, Could you answer me another question, please? Is Roomba 980 better than the 650? Thanks Please forgive me My english is not Very good
They just released the full English app for iOS. I'm guessing they have it for Android as well or it's coming soon. I didn't see a release, I just logged in this weekend and there it is. You can even download an English voice pack. I have been super impressed with this vacuum, I had a iRoomba 960 for about 3 weeks before I decided to return it and give this a try. The Xiaomi's navigation seems way more intelligent and more reliable to clean all the rooms in my 4 bedroom house and return to its doc. They both seemed to clean my hardwood floors fine, but it seems like the Xiaomi picks up debris like Cherios better which is a lot of our debris. Either are acceptable though. The larger battery is really nice because it gives me way more control over having it run when I want it to when it doesn't recharge for 3 hours and resume. I thought the map was a neat gimmick but it is very practically helpful in day to day operation seeing if it had a problem or if you had to cut it short what it missed. Spot clean is way more useful so I actually use it and it's very helpful. The two wins for the iRoomba was I did like the tower virtual walls better than the magnetic strips on the Xiaomi. The xiaomi brush is also harder on sensitive woven rugs, it starts to pull the weave where I didn't notice anything with the all silicone brush on the iRoomba. The xiaomi also has a hard time with our thick shag rug, it can get itself up then knows it can't vacuum it so it backs off but spends a lot of time trying to climb and then deciding against it all the way around if I don't put a magnetic barrier down around the edge. Ive still been thrilled with it and now it's so much better with an English interface.
At last test you scheduled 2 times cleaning for zone clean up, so xiaomi could clean the dust more properly, against the roomba which clean the zone by defult- 1x. However, I got xioami 2nd gen and it was the best buy that I've ever made. Xiaomi approves 👌
Like a forward, left, right etc. remote mode? Is the english localisation getting better as well? (I know the vacuum is intended for Chinese market, but still... :)) When I carry it somewhere to do the spot cleaning is it then able to find the docking station? (e.g. by scanning the room layout and recognising it on the map of one of the previous runs?
TheAlmightyCz the remote mode, yes but you can only control it do spinning and move forward so it is not as convenience as you would expect. The English look like vision is getting better but from my point of you is not enough at the moment, however one of my Spanish friend can use it without trouble, Sometimes you have to guess For the dock finding, it can easily go back from anywhere if it is facing towards the station even if from a very far distance, The robot Will be wondering in the apartment and trying to find the signal if the station is not in a very good position, but as far as I know it is not depending on the scanning of the previous runs
This is why I can't understand why roomba has gotten rid of their brushes.. I mean I know you can use the rollers to direct more suction and no hair tangle.. But the brush will. Do better in the long run.
How does the Xiaomi handle door steps. How often does Xiaomi get stuck. Does the Xiaomi have a wireless node. How good is the Xiaomi app? From the biggest test in norway the answers is for the Xiaomi scores: Doorstep - middle. Gets stuck - a bit too often. Wireless node is sold seperatly. App "should be better". While the Roomba got very good in these scores. So there are weaknesses here that is NOT mentioned about the Xiaomi.
I want a vacuum that covers all areas of the room. It does not matter if it can pick up big dirt because my house is not normally that dirty; and if it's this dirty I will clean with a broom.
It's sold even cheaper in China for less than $200. IROBOT needs to adjust their price since there is not any real high-end technology in their product. They just wade into the market a little earlier than others.
thing with roomba. we had one of the early versions. it bricked..died..left for robot heaven, without reason. roomba the company refused to respond to any requests for support (over the couple of years i tried..stubborn). which is where i found countless dead roomba forums full of people with the same issue. no support. roomba is great if you want a novelty for a few months. it also had a habit of trying to make a break for it past its border and committing robot suicide (by throwing itself halfway out of the outside door). i think it had some issues. probably due to low self esteem due to it not being able to handle chair leg areas and under tables.
john ping gearbest ist fucin stupid for all this promotion codes. I bought the mirobot exactly 1 month ago for 259 € with another code. so if I had used your code I could have got an extra 30€ off! BS
Yes, it handles multi room navigation very well, it maps your entire floor plan and it can always come back to its charger since it knows where it is. Yes, you can set up barriers, by using virtual wall, which is basically a magnetic tape: www.gearbest.com/brushes/pp_447816.html?wid=21
The Gearbest link from the written review is asking $345, but it says "The Original" in the title. Is there a newer version? Is "the original" the same as reference in the video above? Do you know? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you for the reply. Follow up question. I ordered this for the United States, do you know if it comes with an adapter so I can plug it into my electrical outlet? Or do I need to buy a converter from Chinese to US? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I don't think it comes with an adapter, but I saw in one review that it seems to use a standard two-prong detachable power cord. So I just bought one of those on Amazon, similar to this one: a.co/2HMrOiT. Unfortunately, my vacuum hasn't arrived yet, so I couldn't yet test whether the cable fits. An adapter would work as well, but I think this is the more elegant solution. Plus, adapters can be kinda dangerous.
i tried out the Roomba 980 and returned it within 1 day! to be honest none of these small robots even come close to a Dyson for example! the algorithm to clean for these robots is just not efficient! i left the Rooba 980 in the living and it took 45 minutes to clean it, then had to go and charge itself for an hour before continuing to the next room. These small robots are only useful for everyday maintenance while you're away from work but for a real good cleaning, nothing beats a DYSON! and i don't mean Dyson's piece of junk robot cleaner, I mean like a DC 66 or something like that. But hey, if you have $900 just lying around the house, get a Roomba and watch it clean in 45 minutes the same room can you can clean in about 3 minutes

Xiaomi robot vacuum is much cheaper than ramba 980. In china it's even 1000usd cheaper(250usd vs 1267usd)
Thanks for great tests and comparisons, really helpful
the xiaomi is so cute when it's confused :')
Hmm yeah, the Roomba is three times the price. I know where my money will be going!
GME?
Great review! But would have been handy to include pricing but I can Google that. I look forward to replacing my Romba 6xx whenever it dies as either of these is a big step forward. Cheers dude.
Xiaomi is so good that cleans your floors and at the end takes out your girlfriend on a date, by the time I came back home they were married and left for honeymoon, but hey at least I came back to a clean home!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's impressive! But what if there is some water on the floor within it's time schedule! I'm just curious. It it gonna die or will wipe that water?
I have both. Xiaomi has better navigation and larger battery life. Same surface takes between 115min to 120 every single time. The 980 from 115 to XXX somerimes it is charging in between, sometimes not. Alot of times it just gets lost and vaccums indefinetly until you had enough of the high pitched sound the motor makes and cacel the cleaning. If you had a neato or xiaomi you cannot live with the navigation that 980 offers it is that bad. The 980 is better built, comes with warranty and no cleaning of brushes on 980, but you can have 3 xiaomies for one 980....
haha Better robots are getting cheaper.cheaper robots are getting better
The 980 was also getting hung up under cabinets where the 595 did not.
what one is the best for hardwood floor picking up animal hair?
Battle Glitch your sister
That the one thing I like about the older roombas they have bigger holes 4 the bin and not get stuck
How big must the launch area be for the Xiaomi? The area near the docking station that needs to be free from chairs, tables, crawling babies etc
On your last test using the Chex you should have started the roomba going horizontal instead of diagonal. Also i believe it finishes it's cleaning by doing a final wall edge cleaning so not sure if you stopped the Roomba too soon?
IN MY OPINION, THEY ARE PRETTY DECENT BUT CAN DO A BIT BETTER WITH PICKING UP SMALL PIECES.
Great test! Just can't wait for my Xiaomi from Gearbest!
wow, great video, planning and set up, rly well done.
so far the best comparison video ive seen,gj
EDIT: another question though, if you have multiple rooms on one level, does the xiaomi map all rooms first and then start its cleaning routine?
ultramegaman555 It maps one and cleans it first and moves on to another
it maps it on the fly while cleaning and it goes along the walls first in all the way it can go and then takes the inner afterward.. here you can get an idea of the pattern of mine kitchen and livingroom and how it takes it on.i.imgur.com/vBbL1ab.png
Certainly not the intention. Next go around we'll throw in a few tests as you suggest and see how it affects the results!
Difference bet iRobot R980 and R980? thanks!
Thinking about replacing my Romba 650 with Xiaomi . . .
+asiantechnology good choice!
Same
Will the app be able to control several of these vacuums on different floors of the same house at the same time. How does one control them via the app if you have more than one of these vacuums?
each vacuum gets it's own name.that way the App can control each one..Not sure if you can use app to connect them under 1 button like ALL VACUUM..ALL HOME ect.
You can set the roombas to automatically go twice or once if it needs to
ohh neato made a round version now? i want this one too! its also wiggles itself back on the charging dock i love that its so cute on this one!
roomba just introduced the i7 with smart mapping would love to see your review especially on dark carpets since that is where i had my issue with the roborock s50
I have an old Roomba with bristle brushes. It is a nightmare to clean. I think I'd prefer the 980 solution. But for overall choice between the two, I'm not sure.
Pal, that was a brilliant test/review. Congratulations and thanks a lot.
Which one is better for cat litter?
Olá sou brasileira, onde posso encontrar esses dois produtos? Tanto o Xiaomi Vacumm, quanto o Roomba 980?
And, Could you answer me another question, please?
Is Roomba 980 better than the 650?
Thanks
Please forgive me
My english is not Very good
They just released the full English app for iOS.
I wish Roomba would incorporate a laser navigation system, like Xiaomi and Neato.
Would love to see the Eufy in this head to head competition.
Very well done! Your videos and methodology for testing is exactly what we want to see.
Are the instructions and app now available in English for the Xiaomi? I have seen some reviews that state everything is in Chinese.
Cali Valley Yes since around May 2017
Wow what a great review! I love my Roomba but maybe I will get Xiaomi for office
For comparison... i hope this helps

gracias por el video, enía dudas acerca de cada una, pero ahora tengo muy claro cuál puedo comprar, xiaomi es una gran marca y tiene muchos productos.
At last test you scheduled 2 times cleaning for zone clean up, so xiaomi could clean the dust more properly, against the roomba which clean the zone by defult- 1x. However, I got xioami 2nd gen and it was the best buy that I've ever made. Xiaomi approves 👌
Can you use xiaomi app to send vaccuum to clean particualar spot on the map?
no, you can't
not yet but xiaomi is continuously updating its firmware to add new features, for example it doesn't support remote mode at first but now it does
Like a forward, left, right etc. remote mode? Is the english localisation getting better as well? (I know the vacuum is intended for Chinese market, but still... :))
When I carry it somewhere to do the spot cleaning is it then able to find the docking station? (e.g. by scanning the room layout and recognising it on the map of one of the previous runs?
TheAlmightyCz the remote mode, yes but you can only control it do spinning and move forward so it is not as convenience as you would expect.
The English look like vision is getting better but from my point of you is not enough at the moment, however one of my Spanish friend can use it without trouble, Sometimes you have to guess
For the dock finding, it can easily go back from anywhere if it is facing towards the station even if from a very far distance, The robot Will be wondering in the apartment and trying to find the signal if the station is not in a very good position, but as far as I know it is not depending on the scanning of the previous runs
maybe next update, you can send your feedback to china, i think they are working on it right now. should be a good feature.
How much are the import taxes to US from Gearbest ?
It's sold even cheaper in China for less than $200. IROBOT needs to adjust their price since there is not any real high-end technology in their product. They just wade into the market a little earlier than others.
how to enable two pass cleaning?
thing with roomba. we had one of the early versions. it bricked..died..left for robot heaven, without reason. roomba the company refused to respond to any requests for support (over the couple of years i tried..stubborn). which is where i found countless dead roomba forums full of people with the same issue. no support. roomba is great if you want a novelty for a few months. it also had a habit of trying to make a break for it past its border and committing robot suicide (by throwing itself halfway out of the outside door). i think it had some issues. probably due to low self esteem due to it not being able to handle chair leg areas and under tables.
Great comparison video.! Thanks a lot.
Is there a updated review ? :)
has anyone had issues with the xiaomi cleaning over black / patterned rugs? i've read reviews where it won't clean over black.
Dan Powell the Chinese are racist
J W that's why the bot itself is white as well :)
Xiaomi robot is alot bettet
Not when it comes to area rugs! Which many people have in their homes..... The Roomba is far superior in that category!
one of many others the roomba looses. despite the fact that the xiomi costs 270€ and the roomba still 999€
I just bought it 235€ !!!
Code for Gb can be found here :
tigers-choice.com/xiaomi-mi-robot-vacuum
++
Ldsffd Danae, are you sure it is 179 USD?
john ping gearbest ist fucin stupid for all this promotion codes. I bought the mirobot exactly 1 month ago for 259 € with another code. so if I had used your code I could have got an extra 30€ off! BS
I really like your scientific approach
Please do a Review of the new Samsung powerbot r7090??? And comparisons with irobot. Thank you
SlowDown Take it Easy Its crap had one... great vacuum but bad robot. Navigation is 5 years behind the competition.
Does it handle multi room navigation as well as the iRobot? Can you set up barriers?
Yes, it handles multi room navigation very well, it maps your entire floor plan and it can always come back to its charger since it knows where it is.
Yes, you can set up barriers, by using virtual wall, which is basically a magnetic tape:
www.gearbest.com/brushes/pp_447816.html?wid=21
what? why you won't just buy 3 of these. price is almost the same XD.
can Xiaomi Vacuum be set for vacuum schedule?
James Boen yes it can be set.
Sure, you can also watch and config the vacuum with the app
both robots are cute when it moves
Great test, thanks. I think you began with a bias for the Xiaomi.
really? and when you decide to buy one, you also need to consider the price...
i think roomba 9 series allows to change the movement pattern
can you do the samsung line of robovac things
did you get your xiaomi from Ebay or Amazon?
Jh G find here tomtop.com
what is the height of the two?
The roomba usually leaves behind clumps of hair because they make special pet series roombas that have bristles
How do you enable 2 pass on the xiomi
Where can you buy them? All I've found is fairly sketchy looking sources.
I bought the Xiaomi at Gearbest. They're based in China but absolutely legit. I've ordered from them a lot of times before with no problems.
The Gearbest link from the written review is asking $345, but it says "The Original" in the title. Is there a newer version? Is "the original" the same as reference in the video above? Do you know? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
it should be the same robot, no newer version yet.
Joey Jojo don't think anyone expects robots to replace actual vaccuming.
