That’s so sweet! Don’t you love how close these families were back then? It’s just so nice that they all did things for each other. What a Wonderful world it was back then!
This one touched my heart. You could hear the love and pride in Billy's voice as he was speaking about his father. Thank you for another wonderful video 💙
Made me happy seeing Billy light up talking about his father, would love to hear about his mother, and some stories about jo"s mother and father! As Always , Thank you guys for doing these videos for us fans, I think of you as Family, love always
I came up to the gate in late 1975 and told the gateman that Elvis was expecting me…he laughed so hard and told me that was one of the best stories he heard all day…he was so nice and soooo funny…he laughed so hard… when he told me Elvis wasn’t there…don’t know if he was your dad but he was great!!
@@annburchill4676 I loved hanging clothes out to dry. My neighbor would always say it's going to rain and a lot of times it did but I enjoyed doing it.
@@seerstone8982 I would still be hanging clothes out if I was able. I really loved hanging them out, not only does it save money it's good exercise. Enjoy...,.
So touching hearing Billy talk about his daddy. I hate I wasn’t there to meet y’all . What a awesome family and the love flows through your videos. No wonder Elvis was so loving Thank you for sharing your family memories. Be Blessed
Such a loving tribute to your dad Billy! It’s no wonder Elvis was such a kind and generous person! He seems to have gotten it from the Smith side! And Jo, still looking as beautiful as ever!! Thank you ALL for these GREAT videos! TCB ⚡️🕺👑 🕯
I meant Billy when he was 15 working at the gift shop. When I went to Memphis with my ex-husband. He was so nice God bless you Billy and your family and for always taking care of Elvis love you all
It was great to meet all yal this past Saturday at the meet and greet. I asked Billy if he ever decided to go to Graceland I wanted to go with him. He said one of his grandkids wanted to go. That would absolutely be a dream come true of mine to walk thru with Billy and Mrs jo and hear stories on the spot.
Really enjoyed this. Would love to hear sometime about Gladys, what her personality was like. There are really very few stories about her other than her closeness and protectiveness of Elvis. Thank you so much.
Loved hearing about your daddy. He sounded like a great guy and one that Elvis respected and loved deeply. That's what I so love about Elvis, his love for family and your love for him.
Loved this , it great to hear the stories about Your family billy Your daddy sounded like a great guy. No wonder Elvis was so loving Thanks for sharing your memories.
Billy is the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) he is the only person living on this earth who actually knew the King the longest. I love Billy’s stories. They make my day.😃

Great family stories! I loved hearing about how Elvis continued taking care of those that took care of him. That’s the true definition of “family.” Thanks to all the Smith’s for taking time to share their stories! True History matters. 👍👍🇺🇸
I loved Travis! So many good memories. Travis is the first one I talked to when I first went to Graceland. I remember taking him to work and picking him up. Good to see Travis with my 55' Caddy!!
So cool...Danny it was such a pleasure meeting u Tuesday and getting my tour through the museum...what a great great place.....cant wait to come back....
Thank you for the great videos talking about your times with Elvis. Ive said it before but I could Honestly sit and listen to Billy talk for hours. He and Jo are so precious. Again these videos are very much appreciated. May God Bless each of you.
In July 1967 I was 11 and my Father flew me and my baby brother to Memphis to hang out at Graceland for a whole weekend. Do not know if it was your father Billy but it was a relative at the gate and he let us run all over Graceland front and back yard, the pool area, everywhere when others were not there. My Mom always said that guard made a lot of cash that weekend in tips because my Father was a high-roller in Vegas and a very well known professional gambler. (more to that story) MY Father was one of the few invited by the Hilton to ELVIS opening night in Vegas July 31, 1969 and he was also taken into ELVIS rehearsal in the afternoon. Whoever it was in the Smith Family on guard, I am profoundly grateful for him and you guys as I have amazing photos and memories as a young girl from Atlanta GA. Have know idea where I came up with the idea to hang at Graceland, as I was hoping EP was home and my Daddy would make it happen that I could meet him. I would attend Vegas in 1971, 1972 and was one of the few in the front door on August 17th, 1977 to pay my respects to ELVIS and your family. I was 21 yrs old and have very profound memories of that day...We got in the gate early as my friend passed out so we were the first few to view ELVIS and pay our respects. So happy you all are willing to share your life and stories. Stay strong as it must be a sad and happy week for you and your family. He brought so many together. Be BLESSED and keep on LIVING ELVIS...
I know for a FACT that Billy NEVER EVER got over the fact that his cousin, The Greatest Entertainer Who Ever Lived Elvis had passed away. You know these people are Elvis's family, you can rest assured that you will be told nothing but the TRUTH. Bless you.
Everything I've heard from fans they just loved Travis and he also would help them by letting them know when Elvis was home or let them in the Gaurdshack to visit with him.
MMK- You sure listen intently to your dad & mom. ;) So, Mr. Smith, that's where you got your prankster ways. :D Would love to see pictures of Travis Smith.
Met you all at the karate museum and you guys are the nicest family and and was so endearing. Thank you all for a great elvis experience. He was so blessed to have you all.
I was at Graceland the weekend Elvis was in NY for his Madison Square Garden concert. A gentleman let us up to the steps by a Lincoln Town car. He was very nice and said where Elvis was so it was ok if we came up. I do not know who he was I was just too stunned to get that close to the house. It was June of ‘72 I wonder who it was ???
This is great as usual. It was hreat meeting my 6th cousins and their families. I love the museum. I have a question I didnt get to ask. Love you guys.
Your Daddy was a very kind man . I never met him but I can tell you, he was 1 million percent nicer than the ones that are there now. About 3 years it was my first time to Graceland. I asked him if there was anyway that I could get my husband to take a picture of me by the lions. He didn't ask if I was anybody famous or anytjhing he just said NO in a very rude manner. I have a very good friend of mine that knre Travis. She always said he was a fine upstanding man.
Your eyes lit up talking about your dad, Billy. Wonderful stories and great photos. Your mom was a beautiful lady, and you and your brother favor one another a lot. You mentioned living in the house out back when you first moved to Graceland, and we know that Elvis eventually bulldozed that house out, but I'm not sure why he knocked it down. Do you know why he did?
I’m grateful I have been thrown into this Elvis world (thanks to my high school students’ production of All Shook Up, GO THS VIKES!) … Tomorrow will mark 44 years since his passing! I’ll be playing Elvis music all day in my classroom!!
Another great video. The picture and sound quality was great on this one. Billy's daddy sounds like a great guy. My grandpa couldn't read or write either. That was pretty common back then for the southern working men. When did he pass away ?
Goin' to Memphis in September next year. Something I've wanted to do for years. Anyway, thanks for sharing all the great stories/memories and keeping the legacy alive.
Another great video. I enjoy hearing about Elvis' other family members and the pictures. Question: Billy and Jo, How did you manage to keep your marriage intact all these years while other MM couples divorced? Thank you 💜
Travis Smith got to see his Nephew reach the very pinnacle of fame.. He watched the Aloha Concert on TV when it first aired in America. Unless he was able to see it in January 1973.. After all, Elvis himself might have gotten a copy of the broadcast..
I loved the look on Billy’s face as he spoke about his Father-Travis. Great stories.

I live in Tennessee, and I hang my clothes on the line, free solar clothes dryer.
