This one hit hard today. My mamaw will be gone 2 years on Saturday. She raised me from the time I was 10 months old. She loved all her kids, grandkids, great and great great grandkids. Three days before she passed, she was in so much pain, any movement she would cry out, even us touching her arm hurt. The Chaplain came in and we were going to have a family prayer together. He ask her if there was anything in particular she would like to pray for. Writhing in pain and through her groans she ask, Pray for my family. She made one request of us before she claimed her reward, and that was that we all still gather as a family after she was gone. She taught us to live by the 3 F's in this order Faith, Family, and Friends.

We all feel that. Just 5 more minutes of whatever memory we have. Just a month ago my girlfriend. We were long distance. She lived in Vegas (later moved to Colorado) and I live in Santa Rosa. We FaceTimed and texted a lot. 3 days after we last chatted she passed away. We had planned to one day finally meet in person and she was gone. I miss her every day. All I got are pictures & videos she sent me of her

The lyrics are made up of tons of titles & lyrics from George's songs, as he tells his story. The first line says "'Nobody in his right mind would have left her' was her favorite song". It was also my first introduction to George back in the 80's. I too fell in love with that song & him & the rest is history. You need to check out Scotty's song & that tune, as well. Scotty has a great future ahead, like his hero George.
