What is Kb Ky ? When I got the genetic test is says Dominant Black I have a Blue Merle female who carries it and it doesn’t show on the color my Frenchie app
Can you explained more for brindle, such as KB, KBR, and KY. I have a female with dna of aa dd Bb and kb, but no brindle shows. I see a male that's is ata dd bb coco Mm and kbr, no brindle shows. If kbr is a strong genetic wouldn't it shown on both dogs? I did read something mentioning that because kb is a dominant black color, the coat of the dog will be determined by black, brown or dilute. How does this work?
I hope I can get educated my pit is 9months old female about 35 pounds 18inchs tall she is white with brown looks fawn patches is she apbt the breeder told me she is or is pie pits a mixed dog any insight thanks google don't help much
@LoveMyPups may I also ask what is the dna difference between a champagne frenchie and a isabella new shade? I'm considering putting one with my lilac & tan carrying cream girl
Firstly congratulations for the content. Unfortunately I'm not fluent in English and I can't make the most of all your explanations. I wonder if there's any material I can read. I would also like to clear up some doubts about what I have already studied.
Hi there. It is said that you need both solid colored parents to be a pied carrier(Sn) in order to produce a pied pup. i was wondering how come I had a pup from a non pied carrier sire and a non pied dam(Sn). Thanks

so if i have a dog that is Kbky it means that it supposed to show brindle but she is a mantle (this is in Great Dane breeding) so she carries brindles? or its something wrong?
I have question about bridles, I have two bridles which I have bread twice. With the knowledge I have and from watching your videos, we were expecting bridles both times. The first litter was 5 pups (all boys) with two creams, two pieds (fawn pied and cream pied) and a fawn black mask. The second litter was three pups (two boys and a girl) with a light fawn black mask, fawn black mask and white toes, and a light fawn pied girl. What am I missing? I know I should get the genetics test but what is your take on this? Thanks! Great series by the way!!
@@LoveMyPups Exactly what I thought!! But twice!? That's super lucky and I'm usually not that lucky! Lol I guess I'll just have to get them tested and see what I'm missing. Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work!
We breed Brindle pied Pitbulls and Bullys ours have color on the body but mostly white heads. They also have blue eyes. if we breed our 2 pieds together we have had some with hearing problems. Therefore we breed our pieds to non pied dogs. why is this happening?
In our program we deal with cream irish pieds and heavy (tiger stripe) reverse brindles.. Yes I said Cream Irish pied. And Yes I had them dna tested and we actually have two now in our program. I was wondering if you have any experience or additional knowledge for these phenomena. I have done extensive research and not much is out there currently.
Cream typically covers all but I have seen cream pieds too. So I think the cream only shows up where the pied is. So you end up with a white dog with patches of cream.
I have a blue brindle boy that carries tan points and a blue brindle Merle girl they’re both stunning and my girl is possibly pregnant right now I’m wondering what colors will I get? 🤷🏾♂️🤔
Not true my pup tan show n he is EmEm, KbKy, atat, dd, ss, ll, EmEm, Bb, mm, rr, nn, hh …..n he is blue Trindle with the tan tricolor pattern with brindle going through his tan points on his legs n chest
Hello I have found a girl completely blue , has kykb Ata dd EE nn CO/co i understand most of this because of your help however the kykb is a little tricky does this mean at my guess there is a dominant brindle gene but only one copy., an would show in pups? My plan was to breed with stud who is blue an tan, also the Co/co I take it that is a chocolate carrier? Hope to hear back from you many thanks in advance
I believe the S Si Sp and Sw was from early genetics research by Little if I recall however white spotting in dogs as a whole is a lot more complex than that. The S series does work to predict white spotting patterns in some breeds but in others the white spotting is from some other as yet unknown gene. The Irish white spotting pattern in collies of all sorts and bernese mountain dogs is not caused by the S series. Many huskies are homozygous pied on the S series yet they are not pied so clearly there is something preventing the S series from manifestng in these dogs. So the answer to your question is both mostly yes and no depending on the breed you are working with
I have a New Shade Isabela Tan with 1 copy of pie (nothing visual though) but what gives? Why is this so bad? Just don’t breed to another pied male right?
The allele is a variant of gene. At the "A" locus. (A locus being a specific site on the chromosome) the alleles at that sight are dominant yellow AKA fawn, agouti; tan point pattern and recessive black. A dog will only have 2 alleles at each gene locus but they can be any two or both the same alleles. Not all breeds have all the allele choices. I dont know if frenchies have agouti or recessive black but I hope this answered your question
I thought if you have a a Frenchie with 1 copie of brindle and you mate her to a double (aa) dog, that will completely block any brindle to come out on the offspring?!
There are several websites you can buy a lot from, the most popular being Embark. It will give you the most well rounded results for roughly $100, and then UC Berkeley. There are a few others. The kits get a bit more expensive if you want breeding genes and traits in your report, obviously. Good luco

The KB is the Brindle Gene. your dog has one copy it won’t be too obvious in a merle coat

So if you put a lilac and tan with no pied with a visual pied you wont get any pied in the litter?
Correct
@LoveMyPups so if you want pied you need to have a pied carrier
@LoveMyPups may I also ask what is the dna difference between a champagne frenchie and a isabella new shade? I'm considering putting one with my lilac & tan carrying cream girl
On poodles and poodle mixes SS is no pie and sp is pied but we can still get white markings but supposedly can’t.
I have a female black brindle that I’m going to breed with our male blue fawn brindle. What would they make as far as puppies are concerned?
My dog is At/At with Kb/n. Her brindle is only on the tan points, yet they show up pretty well👍
It’s a trindle

Does Locus I in a Tan point dog also act on eumelanin? How do you know if he has one or two copies?
To be platinum you also need to be ii?
A Tri Ghost dog, mandatory is it Kk or would it be a kk dog with ii?

Thanks for this james i have a brindle girl that carries pied . I think i should breed her back to a pied dog after seeing this

Piebald and Merle what is the risk factor with blindness and deafness ?
Don’t breed Merel to Merel ever
Don’t breed extreme pied to a pied or pied carrier
So if I had a black trindle bred with a cream (who had a brindle father) would the cream delete the brindle?
i thought brindle is kbr? kb is solid?
Can a piebald produce a Merle?
If it’s breed to a merle yes
If it’s breed to a merle pied or carrier then
Merle pieds
