How did he get it go go on to that view of a sampler? He starts the video without showing how he opened up the sample. Im just dragging the audio on to an audio track and even tried opening sampler and putting it in that way but nothing ive tried seems to get me on to the view that hes on. Can anyone help? P.S im not implying hes at fault for not showing its probably really obvious but if anyone can help pls do xx
You’re the single greatest UA-camr. Puppet that I HAVE to take seriously. Great information. And WholeLoops is GENIUS. Your ad was fantastic. I love it, subbed.

Bruh, I just thought to myself, "wtf, I haven't seen a new Reid Stefan tutorial in a minute let me check in to make sure i didn't miss anything". and boom.
One ableton tip so you don't go insaine by having too much latancy (unwanted audio lag) is to just turn the latency number down in settings. That is so easy and nice tutorial dude. I think Garageband is not as bad as some say it is, but yes you can do more things in other softwares like edit audio (actual instuemnt sound) and midi way more. I think Protools is the hardest to master out of all the popular programs I have tried. Out of all the programs I have tried, Ableton and Logic are the best. I have learned Protools a bit when I was in a music school. I like Garageband/Logic and Ableton for the for ease of use and look. I got a bunch of stuff down in Abelton from watching videos way faster then Protools when I learned how to use it better at a music school. Ableton is so good for doing midi stuff and really deep editing for midi easier than protools. You can even add a custom sample kit to pads on a midi device that has pads super easily which I love. People should really get to try out different prograns before they buy them though and I am glad I tried protools which I could use decently with someone who has it, but I hate protools because of how many problems I got and some of them are hard to fix and the ugly af user interface 😂 I hate how prootools is the most used just because it didn't get discontinued after the first daw was made so it was the sencond daw to be made, but at least I know how to use it decently now.
Sometimes it's hard to tell what you're actually pressing... you just press a button, a menu pops up and it's gone right after. I suppose these are for people who already know what they're doing.
I came to read the comments while watching the video, then the whole loops ad comes on. I legit thought I was listening to a real ad. 😂😂 I used to work at Whole Foods so this makes me laugh.
I gotta rewatch the warping technic. I mostly use simpler with my samples and don’t really have the need to warp. Does it make sense to warp your sample, then drop it into simpler? Dont know if its worth the trouble of adding warp markers to your sample manually the using simpler to chop.
Probably just for simplicity. The drum samples sound like they've already been individually processed so it wouldn't be necessary to use the drum rack. I you were say chopping a break, it would make more sense to use the drum rack so you could individually eq each chop. Hope that helps!
Please can someone tell me how to stretch the sample like this in order to match the bpm after the clip has been chopped??? I’m sick of setting time markers on my vocals only for it to sound shite 🤦🏻♂️ Any help much appreciated
Aye I know I'm late to the video but can anyone tell me what he did so when he dragged the midi drums out, the drums kept repeating. Like as if they were looping and didn't have to create the drums again. Thanks in advance
GGK 2019 ,4K vidéo has nothing to do with Ableton! It is an application available on Mac.You grab the mp3 of any video and then, you slide it to your project in Live.
Thanks for your help! I ended up plugging head phone jack to mic input but I will try again using file, my problem was getting the download into ableton like where did the file go and which folder in ableton to click from, thanks
why does my midid track dont have volume faders, the only way to adjust the volume is to go on the sample controls and change the volume, and you seem to have fader knobs on each midi track
Hey Reid, thanks for the great video. What's the legal deal with getting samples from UA-cam like this? I'd hate to do this, make a nice track, and then come into issues later on. Thanks for all your work!
Where do you find all the different plugins and instruments (like the 808s) you used? I’ve been trying to get into production but I don’t know where to find new sounds (outside of sampling)
How did he get it go go on to that view of a sampler? He starts the video without showing how he opened up the sample. maybe you should adjust your screen my love @1:19. puppet producers must look out for their health and posture positioning when producing for extended periods of time or just don't forget to take frequent breaks.
why is that everytime somebody uses the AL stretching in a UA-cam video it works out so great and I when I do it myself I always get those weird errors? lol
Every time he says the little "aye" I feel more and more relaxed
Soothing af
I was about to comment the same thing lol
There’s something about the puppet that makes learning all this shit a lot less tedious. Thank u!
came for sampling, catched by the voice, stayed for the beat and came back for the puppet. Love this.
This is everything I'm practicing every time I open my DAW to write and sample. Thank you Reid!

Idk if I saw this back when it was new but now that I’m practicing AL 11 intro it’s starting to make sense now!!! I have to buy some of your packs!!!
bobbing his head to the beat brings me unexplained joy
Finally! A UA-cam producer, that appeals to my untreated, ADHD, inner child 😬

"you know me. i'm gonna do it in parallel"
Octavian what is Parallel ? A plug-in? Or a re you running it tangentially
@@smellslikeus Mixing both wet and dry signal together.

The head bob killls me! Love these tutorials
15:42 That clearing of the throat killed me
Nice tips! I've always used the session view for warping. Arrangement view seems way easier for this. You've converted me!
i wish the video showed the key commands . I'm new from logic pro and im struggling trying to research what he's doing but its for the better i guess

NOTIFICATION GANG GANG GANG!
Realest OG Puppet In The Game 💪🏾
The puppet is very entertaining, but I wish it took up a little less of the screen so we could see more of your workflow.
marketing
Puppet is nice, but it overrules the screen from time to time. Nice vids, great job!
I like it
But it is quite fun when he nods to the metronome 😂
Bruh, I just thought to myself, "wtf, I haven't seen a new Reid Stefan tutorial in a minute let me check in to make sure i didn't miss anything". and boom.
Definitely helped me stretch audio the right way and on beat

Idk if it's because of the lil puppet dude but this is just so clear and easy to understand. Been pretty confused in other videos
My guy is hella chill. "we're just gonna jump right in" (beat drops). Lmfao I had to sub off that one man. the puppet "Definitely" smokka the gunja.
the realest puppet in the game !!! lol
🔥🔥🔥. This is why you're the realest puppet in the game. Love your tutorials fam.
shoutout to that cat
Ronan Devlin @kittybearworld on Instagram if you want more kitty 🤘🏻
Reid is like the Mr Rodgers and Joe Pera of producing

Keep up the good work Man! You'll always be the realest puppet in the game!
Respect to anyone who has used a fantom or a triton
Respect why ?
what did you use to shortcut all the keys you used for recording the drums? im guessing you mapped em, in which case, how do you do so?
i came for the tutorial and subscribed for the puppet
Reid Stefan is the GOAT. Needs his own movie.
"I'm in love with the shape of you" came to mind when I heard the melody
Hey man. How did you know you were in C when you added the grand piano?
I love when the bass sings a 3rd
Sometimes it's hard to tell what you're actually pressing... you just press a button, a menu pops up and it's gone right after. I suppose these are for people who already know what they're doing.
This video was great, well done
I came to read the comments while watching the video, then the whole loops ad comes on. I legit thought I was listening to a real ad. 😂😂 I used to work at Whole Foods so this makes me laugh.
Lol
How do I zoom in to get a closer view on a sample on that sample view at the bottom?
I gotta rewatch the warping technic. I mostly use simpler with my samples and don’t really have the need to warp. Does it make sense to warp your sample, then drop it into simpler? Dont know if its worth the trouble of adding warp markers to your sample manually the using simpler to chop.
killyamomz yeah you can warp and then resample it to further manipulate it with simpler
What were you doing in the beginning when you turned on the metronome and clicked the bpm to make the sample expand?
Anyone that reads this is welcome to answer bc for me, time warping is the most difficult part of ableton
Why are you using Impulse instead of a drum rack, is the sound better or is there some another reason? Help.
Probably just for simplicity. The drum samples sound like they've already been individually processed so it wouldn't be necessary to use the drum rack. I you were say chopping a break, it would make more sense to use the drum rack so you could individually eq each chop. Hope that helps!
Oh got it, thanks.
dieser typ macht mich echt feddddich... thumps up
look who it issss... if it ain't the realest puppet in the game
is there a way to check the specs of the quality of the audio on UA-cam?
U always inspire me, thanks so much bro!
Please can someone tell me how to stretch the sample like this in order to match the bpm after the clip has been chopped???
I’m sick of setting time markers on my vocals only for it to sound shite 🤦🏻♂️
Any help much appreciated
Awesome video my g
Applause for the puppet bro, i just come here for that
Really enjoyed this for loadsa reasons 👌
This puppet will kick post malone's ass any day in this beat game! This shit be fire YO!
Aye I know I'm late to the video but can anyone tell me what he did so when he dragged the midi drums out, the drums kept repeating. Like as if they were looping and didn't have to create the drums again. Thanks in advance
Is the Command J function the same as hitting the warp button within the sample's clip view?
lewchootrain command J creates a new clip out of whatever you have selected on the timeline
How does he make beats with his puppet hands
can someone please explain how to get the 4k download to ableton?
GGK 2019 ,4K vidéo has nothing to do with Ableton!
It is an application available on Mac.You grab the mp3 of any video and then, you slide it to your project in Live.
Thanks for your help! I ended up plugging head phone jack to mic input but I will try again using file, my problem was getting the download into ableton like where did the file go and which folder in ableton to click from, thanks
the realest puppet
why does my midid track dont have volume faders, the only way to adjust the volume is to go on the sample controls and change the volume, and you seem to have fader knobs on each midi track
Did someone already told you that your voice is very relaxi to listen?
This tutorial is seriously one of the best of all time for me anyway, thank you!
Oooh man, where can I buy such a lamp like you? Nice channel, good luck.
This is so cool
i know you expect more of me but plz tell me what the cmds mean not just what the shortcut is.
Hey Reid, thanks for the great video. What's the legal deal with getting samples from UA-cam like this? I'd hate to do this, make a nice track, and then come into issues later on. Thanks for all your work!
How did you know that the key was c?
Are there any benefits to having the tempo at 188 vs. 94 bpm?
lewchootrain sometimes the fast sounding metronome is easier to play along to. That’s the only benefit I can think of
Where do you find all the different plugins and instruments (like the 808s) you used? I’ve been trying to get into production but I don’t know where to find new sounds (outside of sampling)
splice is a good place to start
How’d you get the audio from UA-cam into ableton?
He used an app to convert the video into an audio file and dropped the audio file into ableton.
You can also use UA-cam to mp3. Just google it and you can drag the audio file from your files into ableton
At 1:30 when i turn up to 188 my sample gets super fast?
I do not know what to do...
you have to tweak the bpm BEFORE hitting the warp button of the sample
how do you turn up the sample?
Reid goes hard.
your voice really fits the puppet hahahha awesome
Realest puppet in the game
Great video and great sample
how do u know the key by opening the grand piano
Good vid man
Bro I'm learning from a Muppet! Even more than real persons in real life. What a life.
damn goooood !!! will get RC-20.
Sounds lit
great tutorial~
hey man, where i can get this jelly lamp ? pleaseeeee i need one :D
Reid you a gawd
Aye aye aye *Music is perfectly on beat somehow*
But if I want to add my own melody, how do I find out what key I need to be in?
either use a piano to feel out the notes by ear or use a spectogram to see where the fundamental frequency is and figure out the key from there.
Eaaaaaahhhhhhheeeeeeeiiiiiiiiits Reid Stephen
Nice! 👍🏾
maybe you should adjust your screen my love @1:19. puppet producers must look out for their health and posture positioning when producing for extended periods of time or just don't forget to take frequent breaks.
😂😂 look legit that puppet is a beast 😂🤷🏼♂️
You are the fuc**ng God of Ableton
why is that everytime somebody uses the AL stretching in a UA-cam video it works out so great and I when I do it myself I always get those weird errors? lol
Vahur Valgmaa try changing it to complex pro
This a banger
i love you deeply man!
Yo Reid! Great video man, helped a lot.
So you downloaded the video and then you converted the video to a wav? I usually do UA-cam 2 mp3
