Thank you such for all your review videos! Today is New Year's Day.. 🎉 One of my goals for this year is to speak perfect German by the end of 2024. That's important to me because I moved to Germany. A lifetime membership with a language app would help me enormously in achieving my goal, so I would like to participate in the raffle. Thanks again & all the best for 2024!❤
Aaahhhh the suspense!!!! I’m trying to learn Arabic. I’ve been saying to be a translator, but I should be saying interpreter. I mean I would love to be proficient enough to read and transcribe, but for now I’ll focus on learning the alphabet. I started this as a distraction tool, but as I get more into it I’m left wondering if I should learn Dari instead. We have had a lot of Afghan refugees come to the area and I might be able to support more people with Dari. 🤔
I want to learn French since I learned a bit in high school and really liked the way it sounded. I hope to travel to France and would want to have a bit a French knowledge to chat with locals
I appreciate that you go to the trouble of updating your videos. You guys are the best in the reviews field! Rosetta Stone has many visuals and I like that. Although Rocket has a different approach.
My wife and I, both retired, want to learn Latin American Spanish for our volunteer work. My wife is a beginner, current learning with Duolinguo. I consider myself an intermediate beginner, dusting off my 45-yr old high school lispy Castilian. I can read so-so, but my listening and speaking need a lot of work. Is there one software we can both use (and save a little money) or would you recommend something else? Let me know if there is a better forum to ask you questions like this. Thank you, I think your reviews are very good.
Hi, check out Pimsleur. Pimsleur (like Rocket Spanish) is great for listening and speaking development. Plus, you can account split with your wife (each make a profile) and save some $$. Good luck!
I want to learn French. I took some courses at university. Now that I've graduated I want to continue and reach fluency. It's kind of difficult self-studying but it's so rewarding and I'm hyped to see how far I go. I can't say I have a tangible goal, it's just fun!
I bought a lifetime membership to Rosetta Stone and found that I hate it, mainly for the reasons you mentioned. Their voice recognition software is awful. The photos are terrible stock photos and not even clear what they are meant to represent. Rosetta Stone was just bought for $800 million!!! They can afford to update and improve their product, but they don’t. Also, their mobile apps are AWFUL. I’d like to try Rocket Languages.
I’m a bit confused with the pricing models. Is it correct that the Rosetta Stone lifetime subscription includes all their languages and that with rocket languages you have to purchase a lifetime subscription for each language individually which would make it much more expensive if you want to learn more than one language?
Good video. Honestly getting a side by side for these two services was what I needed. I haven’t used Rosetta Stone yet but this video was really useful in understand more about what it is like.
Rosetta Stone is terrible. Rocket is better. So are Pimsleur, Busuu, Babbel, Mondly, and many more. You’re better off using almost anything over Rosetta Stone.
@@howardsternel1911 Lol, thanks! Honestly, I didn’t know what you were congratulating me on 😂 I thought you were congratulating me on not liking Rosetta Stone 😂 I hadn’t seen the contest winner video yet. Your comment made me go watch it to check. Thanks for the heads up 🙏
I like Rocket Spanish! I did a trial run of it, but don’t have the bandwidth to commit to the lessons currently. Hoping to be a winner of your giveaway and give it another shot 😁
Heyo! Thanks for the review! Rocket for the win. I do like that Rosetta offers a selection of resources, but that speech recognition would drive me mad as well.

Getting ready for Costa Rica! Difficult choice, after viewing several comparison videos, I think I am going to give Rocket the final vote!
Good call, and good luck!
Thank you so much!! Love hearing about Rocket Languages that is a top contender for which app I would choose if I won the giveaway! Have a great day!!

correct - Rosetta Stone lifetime plan gets you access to all languages. The Rocket lifetime plans are sold by language

The challenge of it really is fun
Great video! Both sound like good options!

Nice! It's worth it if you can commit the time. Thanks for watching and sharing!
One thing that is important to me with the language learning software is mapping the levels to be able to pass exams for CEFR ratings.
Rocket would probably be the better choice then. Their course is tied in with CEFR. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Great review!
Great review
I want to learn German. I bought the Rocket package but I would like to also have the Rosetta Stone as an extra help.
Yep, two very different programs. Thanks for watching!
I need to brush up on my Spanish! I'm heading to Spain in June!
Nice!! Love Spain

That would be fun. Good luck!

Great review. I’d go with Rocket. I’m learning French. I didn’t like Rosetta Stone.

Yep, well said
Trying to learn Italian to speak with my family over in Sicily. Just connected with them.
That's pretty cool :)
High level presentation. That was helpful with decision making.
Nice, glad we could help
my dream is to learn new languages and travel the world and meet new people and live my whole life that way
That is a good way to live :)
I'm trying to learn French. It's very enjoyable right now.
