Seems like the heater would be better positioned nearer the seating and the house. In it's current setting, 3/4 of the heat goes off the deck. Thanks for sharing
I agree. We just didn't know if we wanted it to live there all the time. When we were hanging out the other day we moved it between our two chairs and it was much nicer. I'm sure we'll rearrange about 10 times before we find the perfect setup. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel.

Is that hole at the bottom of the post large enough to drain all the rain and debris? I know you get heavy rain and pine needles may blow on and block the drainage???
It was surprisingly easy to put together for such a large structure. As Sara mentioned, what took more time than we expected was removing all the protective plastic from every piece. We are really looking forward to using it more in the spring and making some pizza.
I called a different company for a quote and I was told the starting price was over $30,000. Watching this video I kept thinking, there is no way they would spend over $30k on a pergola. So excited to see the price is way more reasonable. I’m curious to see how this holds up over time.
How much snow weight will it hold? And what is the snow removal plan for it. I am thinking about the times we get dumped on with snow every few years. We are about an hour from you and have been considering something similar.
It's rated for 28lbs/ft of snow load. So around 4 feet of fresh now or 2 feet of compacted snow. Snow removal plan would be to get up on to the ladder and use my snow rake to remove the snow. Most likely though I wouldn't let snow accumulate and stay on above 18" to 24". We've been babysitting our shelterlogic and carport structures that last few years so I understand the concern. I'm impressed with the build quality and pretty confident it's going to hold up well.
It's funny you say that, we thought about putting another one on the other side. All the extra covered room would be amazing, but I'm not sure we would like how it looks when we are driving up our road. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
Det kan va bra att skruva fast stolparna kanske inte alla hål , 2 / stolpe . Om det går så led ut regnvatten under så inte trät tar skada . Annars är det en kanon bra uppgradering av er uteplats en grill kanske 🙂
We have our temp occupancy still while we are doing repairs to pass our blower door test. The kids are moved into the house and Sara and I are still in the Yurt. We plan to be living in the house by this Summer.

Egg carton. Makes a great sort and label for small parts in any assembly. Cut off lid or use lid for larger pieces.
32:30 Did you attach the posts to the deck? You said you would wait until everything was finished before bolting the posts to the deck.
Yes, we got them anchored to the deck, we just didn't show that part on video.
😮 WOW that view of the Deck👀💞
❤ All your plans...
Finally coming together!
🎉🎉hey you guys stayed married after building a house, so that should be a piece of cake. love your videos. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yeah, at this point I think we could pretty much weather any storm if we can build a house together,.
@OneFootOfftheGrid you most certainly can 👍
It Looks so Beautiful 🤩

Very happy for you its very nice .

The pergola is nice.
Surely it should be anchored to the balcony floor?
They supply anchor bolts and we secured it to the deck below we just didn't show it in the video.
Enjoy the whole process & I bet you will be super entertained this spring, summer & fall…probably next winter, too 🎉🥳🎊❤️🤩

Ye s❤🎉very good work
Wheres the water supposed to go when it hits the deck ?
Wow,awesome,
Thanks! We’re enjoying having additional outdoor living space.
Very nice.
How are the legs of the new cover attached to the deck? But the rain water is leaking onto the deck, looked like. Did I see that wrong?
Genial..Excelente...
Put another one on the other side. So it will match. Put a couch and love set over there. And another fire pit.

Are you going to put up wall screens to keep mosquitoes out in the summer? They are very nice looking. ❤
I want to put some up for sure. I haven't looked at options yet though. Any you recommend?
i didnt see you bolt it down.??

Have you moved into the house?

You just need a magnetic bug screen so you can survive the black fly and mosquito season .
YES! Any recommendations?
I am watching you from Roumania! You can imagine how good you really are??? Thank you for making my days better...❤❤❤
If you want one of these buy it soon. That aluminum most likely comes from Canada. Just saying
Great job folks
Thanks. It was a fund project and really excited to use it this spring/summer. I'm sure you'll get to see some of our fun in our videos.
So glad your back. Come back soon please.
