I think part of the reason SheHulk is more in control is that she doesn’t have the childhood trauma the Bruce does. Remember Bruce was a victim of child abuse at the hands of his father.
Or maybe she hulk just got affected by blood transfusion but hulk directly involved in gamma radiation.. And also they didn't showed his childhood trauma maybe that too one reason
There's a lot of different hulks in the comics and rage monster definitely isn't the default. I can understand since The Incredible Hulk did such a bad job with Abomination and we've only really seen Hulk since then (curse you Universal!) but it's so weird everyone is extrapolating from one data point how they think Jen should react.
I can see this after we saw how relatively quickly Dr. Strange mastered his abilities. Comic books and all. I just didn't like that one line where Banner's struggles were undermined. I felt that one little line could've been cut out but overall I am enjoying the hell out of this show and they found a great star for it
In the comics Bruce was abused by his father. To deal with the trauma, he would suppress his anger and emotions. Eventually it would cause him to develop split personalities. When he exposed to Gamma Radiation it turned him into the Grey Hulk. This was the teenage/rebellious/smart ass personality. Eventually Bruce would transform Into the mindless Hulk Smash we all know and love. This was the childlike/innocent personality that wanted to be left alone. Eventually Bruce Banner would be separated from the Hulk, but it would cause problems. They were reintegrated but it caused the Grey Hulk/Mr. Fixit personality to re-emerge. Eventually Bruce, Green Hulk and Fixit personalities were integrated together. The professor Hulk was born: Bruce was still in control, he has the strength of mindless Hulk and street smarts/sarcastic attitude of Grey Hulk. Eventually Banner would loose control and the personalities would fracture again. This time Devil Hulk (don’t ask) would emerge, along with Immortal Hulk (he couldn’t die). In a possible future Banner would eventually go insane and become Maestro. This personality would be insane and do whatever he wants. I think the mcu is going lean into Banner transforming into the Grey Hulk. He is not in control as he lets on.
Man I don't want to be that person but technically not so much. Her origin was in control and most of her comic history that's the default for her character but occasionally that's not been true. Recently post Civil War she had less control and also after the Final Host confrontation. So definitely the exception to get character but she's not always in control.
@@calebhouse1038 that is the thing about control some times is a illusion. Or something makes you lose what control you had. Anger is so a trigger she still gets angry. That is a human thing to do. The real feat is using that anger in a positive way. Or a good outcome.
@Storm Akima, This was likely already pointed out, but Bruce had a hard time with his powers early on because his his childhood trauma. His trauma was the Hulk, the other guy. The MCU doesn't talk about it much, unfortunately, but I suppose that's because we've had three different actors playing the Hulk and instead of doing another, other origin story, the MCU did what they did with Spider-Man and assumes people will figure things out, which I think most did to some degree, but Bruce's childhood issues went under the radar--his dad was a jerk! He was an abusive prick probably on par with Marc Spector's mother. Jennifer, as we saw from the second episode came from a home with supportive, loving parents. Her relationship with Bruce is competitive, and that explains why she always put a little more umph into what she was doing, trying to one-up Bruce. She's a successful lawyer, sure, but her cousin Bruce is said to have seven PhDs! 7!!! The MCU has only named three of them, however, Biochemistry, Radiophysics, and Nuclear Physics--Bruce is a bit of an over-achiever, lol. I don't blame Jen rubbing things in every chance she gets when she can do something Bruce can't, because he's always been the guy to get things done. All her life! And she was likely compared to him, so she had to succeed. Thank goodness for her cousin Chad, right? LOL.
The MCU hasn't explored this (the 2003 Hulk movie unwisely based the entire movie around it), but in the comics, Bruce has a VERY dark background. His father abused him and mother, whom he adored, was murdered in front of him. His trauma is where the "other guy" rage comes from. Knowing this made her rant about being better at controlling anger than him, because of...ya know, life...sound a little whiney. But that's why she doesn't have the difficulties he has and can control it.
You seem to have slightly misunderstood part of this 1st episode. While Jen is more in control, and picked up what he was teaching quicker than he expected she's not actually stronger than him. He was taking things slowly, and just demonstrating the kinds of thing she can do. As shown with the rock throwing, he wasnt using his full strength on his first attempt. It was only after she was gloating a little that he showed what he can really do. In the comics the angrier he gets the stronger and stronger he gets.

The Sakaar spaceship from Thor Ragnarok, which I believe is Hulk's lover from that planet and she is tracking Hulk down by a tracking device implanted inside Hulk/Banner's body without Banner's knowledge. I think his lover is here to tell Hulk about their kid, yes Hulk was on that planet for 2 years and was a celebrity, so it's natural that he would have a love life. Hulk might have been acting up because Banner took him from his woman without knowing but most viewers thought it was because he got beaten by Thanos and was just scared but was lovesick. I believe that Banner didn't come to an agree with Hulk but found a way to suppress Hulk's persona without Hulk's approval. I believe before this series is over this strange Hulk lover will catchup with Dr. Banner while he is with his friends (Wong, She-Hulk, Abomination, Titania, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Sam Wilson) celebrating at Banner's bar on his island that Wong transport everyone there. Hulk's lover step inside the room and She-Hulk ask her who she was and she replied the mother of Hulk's son Caiera and right after that Hulk take over Banner's body which expand in size from smart Hulk to savage Hulk siize, as soon as Hulk hear and see his lover and then he aggressively starts to attack everyone at this superhero party....
