I love the food in PH, I dont know what all the bogus stigma there has been around it being supposedly "bad" but I love it, and I am from the US, and have eaten food from all over the world in those actual countries; Filipino food is among my favorite. Yeah, I think alot of people would say the internet needs an improvement though, even though I never had an issue with it.

I am a PH native. The best thing about our Philippines is that our culture in general is far from rigid. It is as if we, collectively as a people, are not--really, truly, seriously--aching to achieve life's benchmarks as fast as possible. We take our time as if time stands so solidly still for us, we do not change that easily despite repeated calls for us to do so, and we do not think in linear, straightforward ways. Our ways are far from unclear let alone precise, and we say so many things at the same time, the same moments, the same situations, and virtually with same people around us. We are people of the world--that is, we adore and love foreign cultures and visit, experience and adopt them into our local fold--but our being Filipino-ness and our identification with it have remained soulfully intact. 😀

The best thing in this country is probably the people itself , though there is still some crazy people but generally we can assure that you can always count on us in every aspect of life .. Enjoy ur stay here .

Absolutely agree with the efficiency thing. I would like to see immigration open up to people from Netherlands or Germany who have a mindset for efficiency, would be a perfect match for the Philippines. Also think limit car ownership to the rich just like Singapore. The new subway will help with traffic flow in 2026 or 2028 when it’s completed, and when people start to learn to take mass public transports instead of private cars.

ive been watching a lot of videos of Americans and europeans going to the Philippines and Thailand and Vietnam and it seems to me that a lot of them are genuinely happy. they don't have to deal with the drama anymore it seems. they have escaped the cage where the wheels keep spinning but the hamster is dead

Excelent idea and intention. Just wait until you are out of town for a few weeks, then the local electric company decides to shut off the power for 3 or 4 days for no legitimate reason. Then you return and the power is on, everything looks fine.... You eat the food.....Then you are vomiting and diarrhea shitting for days... That is Sukelko in Sultan Kudarat, Mindanao, Philippines....

When someone foreign purchases a condo in Manila, how can they pay the HOA fees etc in the case where they can’t stay more than 30 days at a time ?
Also, I’d like to link up with you on some good investment options for condos in the 5m range, thanks !

You can stay more than 30 days. You just have fill out a form and pay $30. It basically cost $1 a day in visa expense to live in the Philippines.
