Holy shit, I have been searching high and low for this song for almost 20 years, to no avail... So many leads in music forums back in the 2000's turned up nothing, so I was left with just the memory of a muffled snippet in the background of a an obscure 90's artfilm until this moment. Thank you ❤

Like a fascinating, moody, dark and still simultaneously catchy late 80s amalgamation of Depeche Mode, The Cure and In the Nursery but with enough flair and originality to stand on its own too. 😀
What do we all think by the way this song is about? We know that almost 4 years later after it's "release" (although it's a very rare and almost undiscovered track and it never was released on any format etc) in 1989 it was featured in "The Cement Garden" (1993), a film dealing with family loss, character deterioration and incest. But what would you say is the song's OWN main and otherwise theme? Failed relationship? Someone becoming bored? Depression due to life's difficulties? Forbidden love? Drugs? Confusion in life? I found the song on an internet forum a long time ago. A few years ago, digging through an old computer's hard drive, I was able to find a number of song downloads that I had and I found this mysterious song from the movie that I had downloaded from the old forum.
With relation partially to modern Covid era and possibly otherwise too. 😂 Lol. "Are we curing lives? Medicine's all used! Are we drinking 🍷 wines? Liberties abused." 😀 👍
It could be that he said "glue" in the final chorus. I don't speak native English, I'm from Argentina and I got the song from an internet forum a long time ago. I tried to translate it as best I could and any corrections are welcome.
