a little bit of Ketheric lore because it was never as simple as "oh he lost his child" LOL Ketheric was something like a mayor of the town, and he raised the moonrise towers, and the selune temple (that was the goblin camp in act 1) in the name of Selune, I suspect mostly because his wife was a devote selunite, and Isobel was like a chosen to of Selune, I dont think his faith was as strong since he lost it instantly after certain events :P at some point when Isobel was little, her mother Melodia died, and Ketheric was devastated obviously, he granted Melodia's last wish, to keep on teaching isobel the ways of Selune. then Aylin showed up, and he was instantly against her and isobel being together. with different dialogue options, when aylin comes crashing he calls her thief. and then isobel died under very strange circumstances (what grace said that isobel died in the war by mistake, it was the first draft of their story, but it was scrapped and it;s not part of the lore anymore, as their story changed completely from the early access time) Ketheric did not just took it bad, he went and devoted himself to shar, then he lured Aylin into the shadow fell, by lying at her that there was someone in need of her assistance, and then balthazar put her in the soul cage, and linked her to ketheric so he could be immortal. but that was not all. Aylin was tortured (had her tongue cut, had her wings cut and given to that guy in the game who went to get isobel) ketheric raised an army of shar's dark justiciars who would have their final trial at the shadow fell killing aylin over and over. as the general of the dark justiciars, he massacre his entire town because they were selunites. Jaheira, Halsin, and other heroes tried to stop him but he was immortal the selunite mason who built the moonrise towers, sacrificed his soul to Raphael, in exchange of stopping ketheric. Raphael got his demons to kill all justiciars, and turn the war, until Jaheira and her friends thought they killed him and put him in his grave. 100 years after isobels death, ketheric returned following a new god Murkul (the one big skeleton you fought) that one returned Isobel from the dead, but ketheric when he sent the winded guy to get isobel, when you allow him to do it, ketheric puts a tadpole in her head, to make her a marionette, so not exactly the best father, he just wants her back, being brainwashed, and to be a yes father next to him. I think he went a tiny bit too far with his grief LOL especially with what he does to isobel if he gets his way (tadpole/brainwash)
@@Fanthomas1742 sadly no we never have a clear answer, but the fact that she was not taken by Selune once she died, and all she could see was darkness, leads me to believe hat balthazar's necromancy is behind her death (by shar's order) I have a theory about ketheric and his entire family's mausoleum being built above an ancient sharran temple (we meet his supposed son, and his uncle who are sharrans) under his statue in the middle of the town there is a sharran little shrine. my theory is that Ketheric was one of those incognito sharrans whose job was to turn selunites (shadowheart talks about her mentor being an incognito sharran) so maybe Shar sent ketheric to turn melodia and he instead fell in love, and she was mad so she did everything to turn him back caused melodia's death(they were wealthy and yet they couldnt find a cure for her illness and not even Selunite magic could help her?) I think balthy is probably responsible for that death too, since he's a jelly little b**** who wants ketheric for himself LOL
devs journey so far involving children act 1 - she destroyed the whole village, because the thiefling kids were pranking her act 1.5 - "how dare you kill that child" (dev proceeds to kill all other githyanki children in response) act 2 - these poor children 😢 act 3 - ???
I was waiting for Minthara to become Dev's favourite companion* once she expressed her opinion on Gale *Excluding Lae'zel ofc (also shame the floppy hat covered most of her face during her big scene at moonrise, and she didn't get to do her line about committing atrocities in the absolute's name... hopefully she gets do do her circus line)
On my first run, when Shart shared her memory with me I jokingly said "let the sharrans be her kidnappers", yet I was absolutely shocked when I was proven right
Okay, but honestly, this whole video was iconic from the epic battle to making it to act 3 to having absolutely no sound but watching Devs reaction and Grace just losing it was absolutely hilarious🤣🤣🤣
the sound glitch was definitely the console as grace suspected bc the exact same thing happens to me from time to time when recording captures on my xbox. as far as i can tell, it is known to be a thing, but no one knows why it happens or what to do abt it 😂 just when i think y'all can't get more chaotic, this is the best channel on the whole internet. grace, ur forever the GOAT!

Dev I told Theo to revive Lae'zel haha, otherwise he doesn't know how to. And I learned from my own experience. My Lae'zel also died in my first run (this is what happened for the first few days if you haven't found her. She will end up dead near the entrance of mountain pass). Also great mime in the end, can't wat for your ACT 3!!!

Any way talking about the "three gods Bane Baal and Myrkul".. lore goes somewhat like this. These guys dont want the "Power" they have it. They want to destroy souls by creating Mindflayers by getting rid of worshippers for other gods.. makes sense? But main guy who is guilty here is Withers or actually Jergal who took a body of someone named Withers. Jergal was is a scribe or accountant for the dead, who long time ago got board 😁 and gave the job for the students. TheThree.. Bane, Baal and Myrkul. So its the Wither (Jergal) who fucked up here. But its never addressed in the game whos fault it is 😏. I hope im right with this theory i have been getting to enlighten.. the true soul of Lai'zel 😊.
