Freshwater Microfishing in Singapore

My time in Singapore is running out and I still haven't done any freshwater fishing, that is until today. Today's plan was to microfish a couple different freshwater bodies of water in search of some new small species to add to the lifelist. An inability to find live bait here in Singapore put a small speedbump into the plan today, but thankfully the fish liked the Nikko Fly Larvae. Between the two spots we fished today, five different species were caught and four of them were new additions to the lifelist. The Nile tilapia is a species from Africa that was been introduced all over the world. The same species caught here today is the one that is also found in southern Florida.

That tiger barb is freakin gorgeous! I can’t believe they’re not more prevalent in the hobby than the typical species.

Did you use a full piece of the larvee for the redtails and barb in the beginning?

I used on full segment. The package has like 30ish segments total.

I always look for signs which Singapore does a good job of placing to designate where you can't fish. I didn't see any at this location.
