    Could anybody help me ? BTW thanks for this tutorial! 😊 i want to make felt bookmarks and id like to incorporate two different felts, half n half ... Is there a cetain level of thickennes id need if i was doing an invisible stich to join them? Assuming pretty thin, but ive never worked with felt before so thought id ask here...if anyone could offer any advice thatd be appreciated 👏 thank you!!

      @@imogenhallett3132 I feel like you should be able to do this all in felt! You could definitely use felt squares from a craft store. I agree that it probably shouldn’t be a thick felt.

    Does anyone know what the tear away paper that some embroiderers use to trace designs on is called, please?

      @@barbra429 if you go on Amazon and type in TEAR AWAY EMBROIDERY STABILIZER, options will come up!☺️

    Did you do anything special to sew through the cardboard and felt?

      My fabric squares are
      4“ x 4“.
      The corner piece is a
      4“ x 4“ piece of felt that was cut in half on the diagonal.
      What I used in between the fabric pieces was two pieces of card stock,
      3 3/4” square that I glued together; but you absolutely could use a piece of thin chipboard! So whatever you’re sandwiching between your two squares of fabric is going to be about a quarter inch shorter all the way around. When I stitched, I was stitching through just the fabric and the felt.
      Remember, I filmed this video while I was “winging it “ in creating the bookmark. Is there a better way? I am sure there is! 😂Would I do a differently?
      I probably would because like most projects, I’m usually figuring out better ways to do something as I go along. Did I love my finished result? Absolutely!
      The take away: don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things. 🎉 It’s the best way to learn and it’s a great way to discover what you can do when you put your mind to it!
      HAVE FUN!!! 🤗

    Can you kindly tell me what fabric are you using for this???

    • @paperhoardersanonymous6859
      @paperhoardersanonymous6859  Рік тому

      Sure thing! So I give a little breakdown of the project in the video description, but in fairness, I only referred to my fabric as “a piece of fabric“. That’s mainly because it really is something that you can do with any fabric that you feel comfortable getting a needle and thread through. That said, I do believe that I used a piece of pretty cotton that I had.🤩
      Remember…don’t be confined by how someone else has done something.🤗Let it INSPIRE you!

    What stitches are those called, the ones in the edges?

  • @sumtime07

    How many strands of embroidery floss do you use for the stitching?

    • @paperhoardersanonymous6859
      @paperhoardersanonymous6859  Рік тому +1

      For the white flower, I believe I used 3 strands of floss, the yellow daisies,
      2 strands, and for the “K” I used 3 strands. Do what you are comfortable with and what produces the look that you want! 🤗
