- If Dreams could come true, could Curses be real too! In this Nancy Drew Game Chapter you will find out, if you dare! Nancy Drew has been invited to Blackmoor Manor in the United Kingdom to visit Linda, the new wife of Hugh Penvellyn, but when she arrived strange things have been happening around here, like if a curse of a 15th century Witch has got Linda and The Beast Of Blackmoor prowling around the moor that resembled a Werewolf. This Walkthrough will help both Nancy Drew and you to learn about The Blackmoor Manor's history, discover lost secrets under the Manor and to uncover the truth about The curse that haunts the manor.
HOLD UP (minor spoiler) 17:29 Nigel's nerding out about the revitalization of Blackmoor Manor and he says Penelope Penvelynn commissioned Blackmoor's library from the same builder who built Jean le Boeuf's library... as in the library that was vandalized in Treasure in the Royal Tower! MAN these kinds of easter eggs are so fun!!

At 1:32:23 in his memoir, he tries a golden queen tomato which gives him a daydream about a case of a phantom horse. Another easter egg about the previous game!

This game freaked me out when I was younger, watching my older sister play it.. The part with the heart beating, the soundtrack (mainly at 19:20 ) and just, in general the whole game freaked me out. I'm going to give it a play someday to play it myself, I think I can handle it now that I'm 21.

I went down a rabbit hole and it turns out these games are mostly unavailable due to HER interactive changing management as well as many of the websites like WildTangent that they were available on also, shut down. Some of them are available on steam as a bundle for like $50, I ended up settling for this UA-cam video 🤣🤣
I'm sure you'll do fine. Besides, some of the puzzles are so frustrating you'll be too busy getting annoyed than being scared lol (I'm looking at you, plant box puzzle)

Watching these back makes me soooo nostalgic. I remember I was way too young to even begin to understand how these games worked but I was fascinated by them. I would sit next to my sister at the computer, watching her play. My first experience of watching let's plays I guess lol.
PS: I am now 24 and to this day I have not been able to solve one lol

I used to play this and Haunted Carousel when i was a kid with my dad, 15 years or something later, i remembered it and bought it again on steam and i realized that one song with the piano and the hallway STILL stuck into my subconscious mind! I was also finally able to understand the game, i didn't speak English back then, lol. It was so weird hearing those words that were gibberish to me at the time and understanding them.
Nigel's voice in original version sounds really good, I like it. Music for my ears. This voice also belongs to Dieter from "Danger by design". And that German accent made his voice double better. ❤

If you listen to Loulou at times, she'll be singing a line from To Sir With Love. She'll sing "the time has come, for closing....". The hilarious part is that song was written by Lulu (pronounced same way as Loulou).
This game used to frighten me so so much haha 🤣 the music, glowing red eyes, noises, so so creepy! I was so bad at playing cause I was only a kid so I got my mum to help out
