The 2 hdmi ports on the back the soundbar, you can connect a gaming system, blu ray player, etc...and it will play video and sound from those ports. The 2 ports have vrr and allm but dont support true hdmi 2.1 which allows for 4k resolution at 120 frames per second. The 2 ports only support 4k at 60 with vrr and allm, which is awesome, just not full hdmi spec.

Lot of critiques and customer "complaints" that they were too big.
Not entirely sure. I do kinda like the slightly smaller overall footprint, but the soundstage is pretty Large
Have you tried dolby Atmos with this ? Seems like you are playing youtube which doesn't deliver real multichannel sound at all. just upmixed stereo.
Yeah man I have watched a BUNCH of Atmos content. While it wont beat overhead speakers it does a fantastic of creating a great soundstage
Oh no! The 4k 120 pass through would’ve sealed the deal for me!
Same! I was going to go with this over the Sonos setup. LG C2 + these new LG speakers seems to pair well but I play a lot of games and the lack of 4K 120hz passthrough is huge. The biggest selling point to me was the pass through. Otherwise it’s not that much different than any other high end speaker imo. Shame cause I really wanted to get it.
@@wingsuitzero the Sony HT-A7000 with SW5 Subwoofer and RS5 surround sound may be worth a check out by you because it has 4k 120Hz pass through but do check the specs before purchase, Smithers way is to connect your game console to the TV and then eARC the sound to a sound bar?
I got the sn11rg a months ago now. Not entirely happy with it. Ught upgrade to this. Doesn it support HDMI 2.1 120hz passthrough?
No 4k / 120 passthrough. Both ports HDMI 1 and 2 are hdmi 2.0. The port below those 2 is the earc port. Passthrough is not a gotta have, as it does have ALLM and VRR, but at $1600... I think it should have been included.
@@TheRokaphella Thanks for the info!!! Looking into this product to upgrade this year.
Yeah, I find it very strange that it offers VRR and ALL but not 120 pass-through .
Where’d you find the Dolby Cinema demo video?
It is on youtube. I just typed in dolby atmos demo
@@TheRokaphella hi my small speakers are connected to the sound bar with a solid green light but for some reason they don’t work when connected to tv but they do work when connected to phone. And suggestions?
Awesome unboxing, does this sounbar support hdmi 2.1?
It supports earc, but the soundbar doesnt have 4k/120 passthrough. So if you were to plug up your ps5 or series x to it you would get vrr and allm but NO 4K 120, just 4k 60.
@@TheRokaphella Damn that's annoying
Is there a way to connect this in a way that the soundbar goes to the TV and with a direct plug in of the PS5 to the LG 2.1 HDMI port it would work?
The led is still not in the center.... But sound is nice.
I got the S80QY soundbar, how do you think this compares? Anyone else?
Wonder how this will do. I heard the q990b in the store, music from apple music and movies.tv shows sucks now because they omitted Harmon kardon. I have the n950 and q90r Samsungs. Both sound better with music. But q990b has great
Bass and atoms effect, record some small movie demo clips for us
How do u feel about this vs samsungs hw q930b
Have not compared it as I did not purchase Samsung's soundbar for reference.
I'm in the process of moving so I'm going to have to wait on mine
If you do get it, hope you enjoy my friend.
@@TheRokaphella I hope so as well, this looks like the ultimate sound system
Top of the soundbar reflects an awful lot of light. How is it for music by the way
Sounds pretty fantastic. Crisp highs and tight, but full sounding lows. Mids sound great as well. Overall for music, you wouldn't be disappointed.
Do you think it's better than the sn115G?
never got a chance to review that soundbar
How do the rear speakers connect?
They connect to sub wirelessly. Button on the back of each
What is your opinion on it, I'm asking because I have been watching other people's reviews of it, and it's not good.
Thanks for the video. Could you do other videos demonstrating the audio from the S95QR? I had the SN11RG and I was very disappointed and got the Samsung Q950T. The SN11RG had very poor dialog during action sequences. I first noticed it in the Apple tv+ movie, Greyhound, and other movies as well. I want to give the S95QR a chance, just don't want the same mistake.
Just noticed the display did not turn off? I'm assuming it stays on the entire time. They just dimmed the light.
@Lee Blake I have thw Samsung Q950T, and it was perfect.
I wonder if sub woofer height, width, depth
You could go to the lg website. Sure you can find it there
What is 4K / 120hz passthrough?
The 2 hdmi ports on the back the soundbar, you can connect a gaming system, blu ray player, etc...and it will play video and sound from those ports. The 2 ports have vrr and allm but dont support true hdmi 2.1 which allows for 4k resolution at 120 frames per second. The 2 ports only support 4k at 60 with vrr and allm, which is awesome, just not full hdmi spec.
@@TheRokaphella So if you have a PS5 console it is better to conect it directly to a new tv 2.1hdmi and then just an earc from TV to soundbar, right?
@@lordtato exactly 👌🏽👍🏽
ive bought this bar along with the LG G2 tv. my impressions so far are that there just is not enough bass from this system. Also I was sold on the tv sound mode share that is supposed to use the TV's processor to optimize sound. So far it seems to mostly just cancel out the rear speakers and increase the volume on the tv speakers. I find the sound better when i turn off the sound mode share off all together. My last gripe when watching older movies, I either can have crystal clear dialogue or great surround sound effects and terrible dialogue. If anyone has ideas to fix I'd appreciate it, otherwise this sound bar is going back
Damn your setup looks like mine except my tv is bigger other than that the same 🤣🤣 I don't even know why I got the PS5 I don't even use it. My son plays it way more than me. 🤷
Nice! I just picked up a bigger tv. The Samsung qn900b 85 inch. So I've finally stepped up my tv size👍🏽💪🏽
@@TheRokaphella you liked the Samsung or the Sony and LG? 😳😳
@@VesaJay all 3 make great tvs. Since I needed a bigger bright room tv, it was between the Sony x95k and the samsung qn900b. I already have the lg oled.🤷🏽♂️
@@TheRokaphella I have a Sony. But after seeing that LG 85 inch QLED Mini LED I was blown away.
Need speaker stands
Wall mounts
This sound system comes with anointing
🤣😭over here rolling
It is legit tho 💯
Get a new rode mic.... tge unboxing was good but the demo you played sucks via that mic
Better than the JBL 9.1?
Yes
I have just bought the successor to this the S95TR, and I am bitterly disappointed with it particularly when playing music. It is terrible, the sound is very high pitched and hard on the ears. I have played around with settings and calibration etc but it is still terrible. I would not recommend the S95TR.
Yeah I mentioned that in my recent review of the S95TR. Great for movies with a NEWER LG tv, but not good for music and just ok for gaming.
I have this soundbar for a week now & and I'm not impressed. I really wanted to like it, but the price point doesn't live to it.
The fact that, that system does 10% THD is absolutely disgusting compaired to the Sony HT-A7000 with 1% THD lower noise = Better sounding system
Doesn't sound good
Thanks for watching
You should never judge a display or sound system based on UA-cam videos. Picture or sound won’t be accurate due to compression, etc.
@@almusti well I'm comparing it to other wack sounding youtube videos of other soundbars and this one is not good at all!
@@spiderman3950 If I’m honest when I first heard the audio I said “oh dear! That doesn’t sound good!” But I’m still sticking to what I said we can’t possibly judge anything based on videos we watch on UA-cam. Even some of the HD videos or professionally recorded audio. I agree it LG doesn’t sound good but I’d be surprised if it sounds anything like that in real life. I am dying to see a comparison video between this and Samsungs HW-Q990B. Samsung apparently sounds awesome but it doesn’t have VRR support or 4k 120hz. Where as LG does.
@@almusti yeah I'm gonna pay 1700 euros for some stupid VRR feature. The main thing is sound quality, that's what you pay for. You want VRR buy a better TV, because TV speakers are better than LG Soundbar speakers!
