A masterpiece of timeless treasure for exploring generations forged by German alchemists.Up there with Hendrix.
CAN,NEU!,Mythos,DOM,Witthüser and Westrup,Hölderlin (at least the first album),Lava, and Sand are worth checking out aswell. For sure though.
They took the last three improvisations off Yeti on Spotify but the rest of the album is still available. Really weird, guess I’ll just have to come to this playlist for the last three tracks 😭
It’s so stupid. Now I have to listen to shitty 256kbs UA-cam audio. I don’t understand it.
@@YipJumpMusic The torture, the torture never stops. Man. Get used to that.
psichedelia prog di altissimo livello....naturalmente i GRANDI Amon Duul II....band STRAORDINARIA!!! SUPER!!!
very trippy and really good. musos for the times
Yeti le top 18 minutes d improvisation totale c est onirique fou délire expressionniste.. .La musique sans limite...merci AMON DULL 2 !
Utterly brilliant musical landscape unsurpassable for 47 yrs in mho!
Totally brilliant.. one of my departed uncle's favorite artists and always among my own top spacers. ..rather melancholic for me listening to this now, but it's even more awesome now with the jolly, drunken, spaced-out memories it stirred. ;)
12 minutes on, heavenly, cosmic - no other band sounds like this :)
18 minutes, plus two more extended Jams on this album one of which is 6 minutes and one of which is 9 minutes long. Pretty sure least 40% of this album is just doodling like this and I'm definitely not complaining. Amon Düül ii were good at that.
@@WocklessGamingforAnimeMomsfor sure they were good at jamming, and surprisingly the first 2 sides of structured song were amazing too. The jamming is like phallus dei but less tribal.
The genius is still out of the mainstream, the crap is still on television. Amon Duul wasn't on American Bandstand, things aren't different, you just have to know where to listen. Look for the band Grails for new stuff that has an equally open minded feel.
I Love this Album!
All elements from krautrock mixed in this song. Definitely, their best moment in this album!
Masterpiece 🇩🇪
the finest psychedelia know to man.
thats the difference.
in these times you didn´t have to look up for, but only go outside and listen
first heard this after dropping a trip, heard the colours and saw the sounds, still sounds good 40 tears on,oh well!
+nick roe "still sounds good 40 tears on" dunno if that was intentional or not, but sounds very poetic, I shall say.
Definitely their best album !
@@duvadjidgo9625yeti is better than phallus dei but let’s not be silly wolf city is the most perfect fusion of not only psych and kraut but of prog too. The only album ever to flawlessly mix prog psych and krautrock.
I think it was similar to earlier hippy music which unlike later Eurometal was generally socially progressive and generally about _being yourself_ and _letting anyone join in_ but in terms of the musical concepts it doesn't have the same ideas about musical warmth that American Pop Music or Country has. Culturally I'm not sure it's something that would exist now because we have qb easier time translating ideas etc.
there's good music today too you just need to know where to look.
Reminds me of "Section 43" off the first album by Country Joe and the Fish. Also, "Careful with That Axe, Eugene." Good stuff.
To my understanding, Yeti and Yeti Meets Yogi make up a 4 part suite, each roughly 6 minutes in length. That's how it always sounded to me, anyways.
Pierden todas las guerras, pero esto lo hicieron bien..!!!
cool und spirituell
increible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
petrifying shade of a dark rock.

Wow. 40 years ago we had a bumper crop of geniuses making highly intelligent music.
Now we're stuck with a cabal of "American Idol" wannabes making painfully and embarrasingly dumb music.
But thankfully, recordings of the good stuff (such as this) still exist. PRAISE JESUS!
fkn sublime! reminds me of my pot-head days all spaced out on music like this but para as fk
Interstellar Overdrive part 7?!
discogs has different timing
Yeti (Improvisation)
18:00
the drums sound like a sample from saucerful of secrets pink floyd
Saucerful has always sounded very krautrock to me in certain areas, sometimes I believe it truly was the first krautrock record without being German!! So in that case it wouldn’t be krautrock but stylistically sounds a lot like the German movement.
maggot brain but better
sounds like the music from the diablo series!
hehehe...i know yr game mate...you took a tad muchas of the ole acid in the 60s/early 70s. keep on groovin ole timer...
As well as schizophrenia. I'm out of questions here...
Well yeah, thanks and kudoes to the bandmembers for gracing us with so much amazing music. But at the heart of it all I still thank Jesus (the Son of God) and God the Father/Creator for creating life and for creating humans, among whom are the various members of Amon Duul II and also for creating sounds, which can be fashioned into music.
And I'm a pretty left-wing guy myself BTW.
When you talk like that it sounds right wing lmao surprised to see ur left wing. Personally I’m neither because both are shit but where ya standing now?
Geniuses are good, but how does Jesus relate?
Genii are just that & Jesus wasn't the Messiah! In the words of Monty Python - He Was just a very naughty boy..
First of all, I'm thankful to Jesus that this music exists. Secondly, I'm thankful that I'm able to hear and listen to it. Thirdly, it is God (and Jesus is God come to us in the flesh--God the Son in the Trinity) who gave us brains in the first place, as well as creativity and imagination.
Fuck off Jesus. I really, if I have to think about it, totally hate you. Fart!
Lol. If the omnipresent J.C Was about in the 70's he would've took acid & joined this group to enhance things yeah? Alas not!
Lol preacher man. Enjoy the music & imbide some hallucinogens!! ..& for the record L=SD cubed ,,& not E=MC squared..
Thank you for your Jesus propaganda ;)
the next level from "interstellar overdrive" with more LSD and passion. heard so many times.
It’s really amazing that interstellar overdrive came out 3 years before this though. I think Pink Floyd and Amon Düül II are the two best psychedelic bands ever. Capture it so perfectly. New band wise the best psych band is pond, their earlier work is like piper and yeti and they are my favorite psych band / favorite band in general ever. Talking 60’s & 70’s psych though Pink Floyd & Amon Düül II are the winners
