King Tubbys had a small room in his house (where his studio was) filled w classic jazz records. Dub reggae is a type of improvisation.
Definitely, really quite amazing that the mixing for dub is all on the fly, managing all the different effects, volumes etc. It will never stop fascinating me how much a dub completely changes the structure and feel of the vocal version. Best genre of music, no competition.

@@maxhickman2930 When I think about it, it does indeed astound me that it is no exaggeration to say that he invented the remix, and was the first person to cut out the midrange and drop the bass. His style, therefore, is a sine qua non to so much modern dance music. One person. IMHO, he is not sufficiently credited.

Well, I don't think there is one point of origin. I think it's more accurate to say that they share a lot in common. Believe it or not, some of the oldest music that resembles it at all with regard to having someone speak/rhyme over a beat Is found on square dance records.
Though the narrative aspect of it, at least, and definitely the "rap battle", goes all the way back to Africa.
To be fair, it was the Amen Break that produced Hip-hop beats in the 80's. The Amen Break was from a B side recording of the gospel song Amen, and was a small 6-7 second drum break by the band The Winstons,
What is odd is that ALL hip-hop artists wanted to be paid for being sampled, yet the drummer who produced the Amen Break, the most sampled song ever, died homeless and broke.

whats a dub of born free by micheal rose and sly and robby doing on a yabba you compilation .this was recorded in 79 the albums from 76 ,starts at 19.31goes to 23.56.
I think the original tune was produced in 76 by Fatman, played by the aggrovators and yabby you @ tubbys studio.

A true. I took different Bible-Studys with various Rasta-Tribes, but was not able to fit in good. Till i found Jesus Dread, Yabby You. It,s Him, who gave me my Rasta-Identity, JeshuaKing-Dread, the Tewahedo Church Rasta-Tribe, that carries King Selassie1 his approval. Two disciples of Jehoshua Kristos traveled to Ethiopia and founded there the Tewahedo-Church. Yabby You was/is such a wise man, and full of Holy Spirit! Faithful to Scriptures.

By the way, Yabby You was not, as far as I can tell, in the Tewahedo church.

"Beware of god" is the dub name. Original track is Dicky Burton's "God Is Watching You". Lyrics go "Beware God Is Watching You" meaning we have to watch what we say/do because god is watching us.
"Anti christ rock" is not the glorification of antichrists. Here the word "rock" means moving backwards and forwards like a rocking chair. You will find a lot of dub tracks called "something rock" in a similar manner. Original track is "Anti christ" and talks about hypocrites. Lyrics go "Them say them love
and them live in hate ... them favor Christ
But them anti Christ".
