This gentle man flipped the roles. a 6 typically is the ball winning midfielder/destroyer/breaks down opposition play (Only requires short accurate passes)[Jon Mikel Obi, Makelele,busquets] and the 8 is the distributor/box-to-box/big engine/ball carrying midfielder/Long range shooter [Gerard, Lampard, Yaya Toure] while the 10 is the dribbler/through ball specialist/Final pass/dead ball specialist/press resistant midfielder [ozil, kaka, Okocha, odegaard]

The striker Arsenal require doesn't need a target number of goals. They could score 10 goals. It is about conversion. Both games against Fulham, West Ham, both games against Villa, City (away), Bayern away and Liverpool in the F A Cup... just need to be able to score 1 from 1 or 1 from 2 chances. Henry was that type of striker. If no striker can perform with low volume chances with high conversion like Haaland, it is best to play false 9 with interchangeable wide forwards or a scoring attacking midfielder capable of drifting out wide or dropping deep like Kane. If this is not the option, then a target man that battles and is technically gifted could still cause problems and allow for press resistance or providing physical presence to make opposing CB defend a player instead of space. Also, a target man can win headers and allow for underlapping or overlapping wing-backs

You should never get too stuck on the traditional roles. One thing to always keep in mind is that on occasion you get players who are unicorns, that have a rare profile which while it may not be the best from a traditional lens, in practice it will give the opponent more problems. Bruno Guimaraes is one of those players, he isn't the best 6 but as far as world class 8's go, he's maybe the best 8 at playing the role of a deep lying playmaker, and that ability to do both at a high level, paired next to one of the best box to box midfielders in Rice, can cause other teams far more problems than FDJ can cause over 90 mins

I don't think arsenal have the funds this year for another 100mil player without getting close ffp. Some sales will help but considering we need 3/4 signing 1 been a main stream signing for the midfield I can't see a big big signing this summer.
They cleared up their financials a couple season ago. The stadium shackled them for years. The have actual revenue unlike some clubs
@@nuudelz3711 i agree we didn't depend anything that's why when people say 600m spent and won nothing, my response is that was catch up money we needed to spend just to catch our squad up not overtake but considering how much we have spent over the last 3/4 years surelywe can't keep spending that sort of money each summer. Players are starting to pile up on the books already, viera esr Eddie Nelson ramsdale zinny all need to go for me.

Yeh a 6 is the DMF that protects the back four & stops/breaks up attacks aka a ‘Destroyer’ his explanation of the positions was backwards.
You can't have the guy infront of your defense being the most aggressive ball hunter. That would leave your CBs exposed. You need someone more aggressive infront of him. He can be a great tackler but he can't move around a lot. It's more suitable for the 8 to be the better tackler because he already has the license to roam anyway and he has the security of the 6 behind him.

zubimendi does not have the presence partey has though maybe the tech but not the presence. we struggled long having a soft midfield to go backwards makes no sense, thats why we are also looking at onana as he has presence, but guimareaes has the tech as well as presence.
