Working on an island! Cottage Fireplace and Chimney Repair

Working on an island can be so rewarding, you get to meet some of the most amazing, generous, and hospitable people, not to mention, the community is so close-knit, everyone feels like family. Element Hearth and Home was commissioned to perform a renovation of a wood burning fireplace for a family cottage on a beautiful island in northern MN. This fireplace needed to have its firebox restructured with brand new firebrick, a complete overhaul on the smoke chamber, a stainless-steel flue liner installed and insulated. The exterior mortar joints between the stone needed tuckpointing and the crown of the chimney needed to be rebuilt.
