"Blue Cathedral" by composer Jennifer Higdon has an interesting use of orchestral color/texture within a pan-tonal/modal harmonic palette. The many "dissonant" elements are deftly/artfully kept at bay by the use of high/middle/low range, instrumental grouping, and above all, an engaging gentle musicality. Nicely done-Bravo!
Bela obra com toques bem tradicionais de músicos norte-americanos como W. Schumann e A. Copland. Parabéns à regência de Denève e a excepcional acústica da Real Concertgebouw!!!!
I had the good fortune to sit next to her on a public transit bus in Philadelphia. What a nice person!
I heard this on public radio today for the first time and felt astonished . This is such a richly beautiful song - wow ☺️
Gorgeous work elegantly performed. Wonderful, Jennifer! Congratulations.
Seems to be wandering in a hundred years of sorrow and solitude

I would give anything to study composition with Jennifer. Her work is moving.
except getting a spot at Curtis is the hardest thing ever
There are a lot of great composers who were lousy teachers. And visa versa.
My teacher studied with her. He still talks with Ms. Higdon today.
Brava! Claude Debussy, Nitsuga Mangoré and now Jennifer have all fallen into the "spell" of a cathedral! Bravissima!!
❤️🙏👏👏👏

The violins drowned out the piano passage. It would have been interesting to hear the chords that were assigned to the piano.
