True that, it has been a while for me. I was blown away when I first tried multiplayer back in 1998 - 1999 and found the INSTANT GANG button. Getting vehicles for the homies was a highlight of my past =D

Then my friend got instant gang and tried walking on the sidewalk to come get me. I was flying down the sidewalk evading the police and just so happen to flatten his whole crew going 90 mph or something like that, lol. All I heard from across the office was, WTF!@!!!@!!

Why do you solve some missions in Industrial district before doing EE? It seems you could earn that points faster if you just do EE from the beginning.
I would need 49 or 48 EEs, if you count in the score I get for the people that are killed for the EE and don´t forget I would have only x1 multiplier since no missions. I need about 5 mins for 12 EEs, so that would take me like 20 mins for this alone. Also my respect gets drained from time to time because there can always spawn some zaibatsu guys. And when you reach negative respect, they start to shoot you, so I would need to drive to Krishna turf and shoot them for respect and that adds even more time plus the time to get the weapons I need. ;) Current route skips the first mission though and I shoot the Zaibatsu instead at their yellow phones and proceed with the other 3 missions in this video.

But tell what-how you managed to use secret cars in the second district several times?Cause as i know once you entered this car it will disappear from the map permanently.But i saw that you did save,then you returned to places you've been before,and entered those cars again.Plus multiplier you collected-and that's it.But reveal the secret-how?Or it's a bug maybe,like in GTA VC. P.S. Sorry for my language,i am russian,but trying to speak english correctly. And i am already found the answer,everything's as i thought about the glitch)
Thx, your english is fine. If you use some unofficial patch like version 11.44 this glitch will be fixed, which is not really that good for speedrunning this game lol.

Yes, I use the handbrake, mostly when I need to perform U-turns. And you actually need to use it to get up some stairs or to perform the stair jump in the second area.
Increases your multiplier by 1, it is the little red number left to the money display. Say you would get $1000 for a stunt bonus, with x2 multiplier you now get $2000. Completing jobs normally increases multiplier, but only in the second area they also exist as tokens you can pick up. Also getting busted halfs your multiplier, but picking up a "Get Outta Jail Free Card" token prevents it for one time.
Hm, I would estimate 10 minutes for the first area, 25 minutes in the second and 35 minutes in the last. So shouldn´t be higher than 1 hour and 10 minutes, probably even less that.
Ah i see why I thought the game isn't like the one I loved, your lightning is off. Maybe because it's not from the original CD if you search "PC Longplay [163] GTA 2 (Part 1 of 5)" You will see there are dark and light area's. Yours is just static
You can change it in the options ingame or start "gta2 manager" right away, go to Video tab and under Lighting select "Dusk" instead of "Noon". The PSX version doesn´t have the option as far as I know. I use noon in speedruns because you can see things more clear at day and it is better for viewers too imo. But the lighting itself is a cool addition and adds atmosphere to the game. And that longplay I watched it a bit, but I didn´t enjoy the way the guy plays, too sloppy and slow and bad orientation. But maybe I played this game too often... xD

Die Schüssel vom TV-Van zeigt immer Richtung Speicherort, ansonsten ist der Speicherort in jedem Level zentral gelegen. Hab vor kurzem auch die PS1 version durchgezockt, bietet einfach weniger wie PC version. Keine Züge, keine Busse, keine Power-ups auf den Strassen, kein Nachtmodus, die Karte is auch kleiner und bissl anders. Und generell weniger Leute sowie manchmal lag weil PS1 nicht so viel packt. Das schwierigste fand ich den Kill Frenzy im zweiten Level wo man 30 Leute in 90 Sekunden platt machen soll, braucht man einfach nur Glück für.. da nicht gerade viel Menschlein spawnen.
Ja ich würd gern die PC-Version spielen, aber da kommt bei mir ein Fehler auf "Videomode 16x16x16 not available". GTa 2 ist echt so ein Spiel, das dann geil ist wenn man's auswendig kennt, sowie du wahrscheinlich. Spielst du das eigentlich mit Tastatur oder mit Gamepad? Ist GTa 1 auch gut?

It does add more atmosphere and gives the game a nicer feel because when you turn on the police alarm you see it glowing like it normally does in dark

Ich spiel mit Tastatur, kein plan ob die PC version mit gamepad funktioniert. Und GTA1 ist wesentlich schlechter als GTA2.
