i personally love reading about gods and goddesses but i always feel like i’m a wierdo for reading books that u read in english haha glad i’m not alone💗😂
12:09 "you're the fathers child" lol. i have adhd and dyslexia so i get my sentences all muddled like this all the time. i love your energy in videos !!!
Definitely going to be asking for all these classics and just every book in this video for my birthday! Get myself ready for second year and just life 💛
Dude, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf is also my favourite play. SO GOOD, on stage especially. Watching this really made me want to read classics. Especially Candide and maybe the Illiad.. :D
I loved this video!! I love hearing people talk about their favorite books and you just spoke so nicely about them. I definitely feel encouraged to jump back into reading now - thank you!
Roald dahl is definitely one of the best childrens authors he literally birthed my love for reading and if I ever just can’t get myself to read I still always go back to him
My goodness ! I love Montaigne, Voltaire and Homer but Nancy Mitford ! What treasure troves that woman's works are. I've read The Sun King, Madame de Pompadour, Frederick the Great and Voltaire in Love. Mitford was one of those rare authors who could not only bring the past back to life but who could also make you to love the people in it. Her fiction is excellent too imo. I also own Mary S Lovell's 'The Mitford Girls'. I'll push it up a little bit in my tbr. You have a new subscriber.
It took me a while to learn how to read and it always made me feel bad and honestly roald dahl’s (probably spelt wrong😐) books were the best things to motivate me to learn and I’ve still got two huge books that consist of the majority of what he wrote and I WILL be giving them to my kids one day. I could talk about books for bloomin ages🙌🏻
Ran a search for The Female Quixote and found myself here again! Don Quixote might be my favorite (hard to restrict yourself to one right?), hope you read it one day and do a video. Not a criticism - you have an old soul. And a 17th century one! Or a BC soul. Loved the Iliad myself Stay safe, and thanks for the lovely video.
My favourites are: Diary of A Young Girl Vicarage Family Nefertiti Harry potter (All except cursed child) Christmas carol Pollyanna Percy Jackson books And I love Greek Mythology books a lot
My favourite book has to be a clockwork orange, it’s just genius! I love how twisted it is but the language is somewhat childish and comical? It’s great! Also love The Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm and Revolutionary Road! I’m very generic hahaha
I've never read the clockwork orange (or seen Kubrick's adaptation) so you've defo encouraged me to, ALSO LOL I READ ANIMAL FARM IN LIKE YEAR 7 BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS BABE
I loved your favourite films list. Was very happy to see that you are very enthusiastic about books! Am very surprised to find out that you're (partly) belgian?! give me a moment, I need to bingewatch your videos now. thanks okay bye
Fun fact: in Greece we read odyssey at its original form ( Ancient Greek ) and we translate it to our language right now :)
Thats so cool!!
Spellbound its is quite difficult though!
we do it in italian schools too (from ancient greek into italian, obv)
