Cut a slot at the rings holes so that you can slide them in and out without opening your rings. That is what I do and it works great inserts don't fall out they will stay in.
Hi Mady, Loved this video. You should branch out and do a favorites type video. You are such a beauty, I'd love to see lifestyle types of things that you use and love.
I use my pm as a wallet and for notes when I have to jot down grocery list and appointments I would like to get the GM planner once I graduate from my Physician Assistant program as a reward for myself.
Mady, you are gorgeous! Love this video, I had lots of doubts on LV planners. I got a Cloth and Paper agenda cover and I'm loving it so far. It's perfect for my needs. Happy New Year!
I agree personal is narrow. I use Travelers notebooks for more detailed writing and use the PM for more reference info, calendar, business card holder, gift card holder, as example.
It took me a while to get used to personal size after many, many years using A6 planners (shorter but wider pages), but I'm quite happy with them now! I have used Franklin Covey compact size inserts in personal size planners, they're the same height but a bit wider. Idk if they'd work in the LV MM binder, but it might be worth checking out for people who are kind of in-between sizes! Side tabs won't fit, though, but I just use top tabs or even just paperclips or a bit of washi tape along the edge of a sheet of paper to mark out different sections - works great!
See A6 could definitely work for me! I love a smaller, more compact planner. It's just personal size is a little awkward but I would totally try A6 in personal size someday and just use the top tabs. Thats a really good idea with the washi too! I might try that 😍
@@MadyPlans Franklin Covey's compact size is the same height as personal but the width of A6! Regular personal size binders already have space for top tabs when using normal inserts, so FC compact size is the most space efficient size that still allows for top tabs. It does vary a bit depending on binder, though - some binders are so narrow that the inserts go riiiight up to the edge. B6 slim is a bit taller than the other two, but same width as FC compact. They should still fit most binders though, at least if you don't use any tabs.
I was looking at one until tons of influencers all of a sudden did videos about LV planners/agendas. And, everyone has all the real or fake LV bags. I’m done with LV.
I also have all 3 and feel the same way as you about the PM and MM. I’m not as excited by the GM because every time I want to use an A5, I reach for one of my Gillios or Van der Speks first. I tend to store things in the GM like coupon codes for sticker shops and other things I reference occasionally. If it had a big back pocket like Gillio and VdS, I would definitely use it more.
I totally get that. They hold a lot, but they're on the more minimal side as far as pockets go and they definitely have that 'binder' feel whereas my gillio was like butter in my hands 😍
My LV GM rings were starting to gap also... I still use it, but now I slit all my inserts so I dont have to open the rings anymore and it works perfectly! I definitely recommend it for anyone experiencing gapping on any agenda :)
@@MadyPlans Ojalá y muy pronto puedas volver, y coincidir, será un placer conocerte. Que siga el éxito en tu canal, me encanta tu contenido. Saludos 🙏😉🌷 Saludos
I know some people love the LV planners, but I think they are such a waste of money. VDS and Gillio are real leather and just gorgeous. You should definitely try one.
Hey Mady, awesome video, just wondering what your thoughts on a paper vs digital system, and even a combination of the two. Love the thought of a filofax type planner to keep everything in one place.
Thank you! I love using digital planning + paper planning together. If I didn't enjoy keeping a paper planner I would forsure use an app, but since I love stationery I will always use both. I use Notion for all of my online organization. Notion has a lot of cool formats so I use it to organize links, my work calendar, codes, subscriptions, recipes, and anything else that I access on my computer, and I do essentially all of my banking and expense tracking online. As for my day to day planning, being able to open a paper planner, physically move things around, and be more involved in writing and decorating helps me in so many ways.. and its so therapeutic 🙌🏼
@@MadyPlans yeah Notion is good. Currently learning how to use that and Evernote. Agree on paper planning for daily use though. Thanks for your reply and love the content!
Haiii and good day:) Happy Monday:) I had stumbled onto your page(and so glad I did:)...had subscribed :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the LV Planners and very breaking it all down for us:) It was extremely helpful:) Have a super great day and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and sound:)
I agree as a first time buyer of a nice planner an A5 was a bit overwhelming, I went to a personal size and I love it! Also, my top ring had the same issue and I overlooked it too I don’t feel like taking it back to C&P lol and it’s not that big of a deal.... overall I’m super HAPPY!
Yes! A5 was the first planner I bought coming out of high school and I didn't have anything to put in it 🙈🤣🤣 so moving to personal and pocket was perfect but now I want to keep EVERYTHING in my planner haha so A5 it is!
I've been eyeing the MM size, but I've never really played around with planners (besides the ones you buy from target lol)... what cheaper alternatives do you recommend for beginners?
If you decide on the mm Amazon has card and zip that fit cash well. You can always use it as a wallet that houses your gift cards, receipts, cash, loyalty cards, stamps, shopping list, monthly or weekly schedule and things like that.
I am SERIOUSLY hoping they do restock the desk agendas. 😫😫😫 I passed my state test and always knew I’d be rewards myself with one. Bad timing, that are completely out. 😭 BUT I did 😌 but me the 50(amazing, perfect size) monogram with red letter. I bought the only one. But I can’t get over not having the agenda. 😒 just venting. Lol
Congrats!! I know, they've been out of stock for so long. I hope they restock, so you're able to grab one. Make sure you're added to the waitlist if you haven't done that already!
aw man - okay - I have my Mono MM and have been goaling myself to get the Damier Ebene GM. My MM is literally about 13 years old and still looks great. The edges are a little bit curved but all in all, it's been holding up nicely. I thought maybe I would look into the Cloth and Paper GM-sized agendas but not sure about the durability of their leathers.
If you like MM go for it! I love the size in my hands, just not the insert size. I wish I could get into it so I could bring my planner with me more often. & I think the CP leather is AMAZING and seems super durable, although I've only had it for a few months so I cant speak on durability over the years. 💕
@@MadyPlans same - I just can't seem to get used to the MM insert size even after all these years! I think the LV agenda refills might have been a little better laid out even though the dimensions are the same. I think I heard once that using A6 inserts in an MM works - you just can't have the side tabs.
I think it’s the zebra mini ballpoint pen T-5! I have this one for my PM agenda and it was like $16 bucks on amazon :) didn’t find much value in getting the LV Pen for $200 bucks :) hope this helps!
I love my GM! It's my favorite planner size, the paper size is A5 which is 5.3 in x 8.3 in. You can google a planner size comparison to view all the sizes. to compare as well
I like the LV planners, but I wish they were real leather. The coated canvas isn't very durable. Mine's only eight years old and the edges are frayed, and the cover is faded in places. :(
Oh I know! When I first discovered them I was a little confused, they're just canvas, and soooo expensive I kind of just assumed they'd be leather. But now that I've had one for so long, I like that I cant literally just wipe it clean with a paper towel. If it wasn't LV tho, I wouldn't care for the canvas material
@@kathybquintero9888 well if you have the once with the date code you can take them to repairs without a receipt. However, now they don’t come with date code quite tricky.
@@MadyPlans they are canvas from top but leather lux inside. Just got mine today and I can’t wait to use it, should have brought it long time ago. I sold my pm and mm to fund the gm no regrets. Great video btw!
Love the video, I love my mm agenda, however I found out when buying my first couple dividers that personal size was to narrow. I was using a Happy Planner mini and the space on the personal just didn't work for me. I don't know how other people do it. Before I spent alot of money I tried the personal wide and loved it. Currently I am using personal wide. I also used hp mini inserts and trimmed them down before. I just trimmed it down but it gave me the width I needed to write. I hope this helps someone.
I do not own any EC planners, but I would say no it wont fit in the ring agenda. It MAY work in the 1/2 letter size agenda cover.. but I'm unfamiliar with Erin Condren measurements!
