Man, this is really badass. It all started from 1/4 mile street races and making bad tuna sandwiches in a small family store. Now everybody is black belts and GI Joes.
Well, in Mia's case it would make sense that her fighting skills would be a hybrid of her family's skills. Case in point, 1:55 Mia's kick is an exact mirror of Letty's kick right prior. And Letty was already a brawler before she rolled with Owen Shaw's crew.
What I hate about these movies is they portray the story in a way that Brian isn’t actually dead but just absent, like he would EVER let Mia go on high stakes super dangerous missions without him, or even over him.
This is why I think it was a mistake to bring Mia back. I’m having a very hard time believing that Brian would just stay at home babysitting while Mia was part of the huge and dangerous missions. I know they’re only doing because Paul Walker died, but still

Ok ok, the whole Fast saga plot may have gotten really bad over time, but you CANNOT deny the fact that these action sequences are badass. The way Han kills all the bad guys without missing shots, and then the stare down between him and the girls followed by him walking away into the shadows.

Han worked close with the team in Fast 5 the brazil movie, and Fast 6 against Owen Shaw.

Aside from the fact that a bunch of lightweight women are able to so easily overpower pretty big dudes, none of this makes any sense like why tf don't they just pick up one of the 17 guns laying on the ground from all the dudes they put down already and just use that instead of fighting hand to hand, like you have 2 ways into that room both of them are next to each other and very narrow, a gun will make it literally impossible for anyone to get in. It's not the action that's the issue here it's the impossibility of the situation because the decisions made here make literally no sense at all.

The stuntmen certainly earned their pay with the amount of accommodation they had to do to create the illusion that these 110lb females had a prayer in any kind of brawl.
We watch movies to escape reality. So yes it’s gotten ridiculous but the action sequences and everything badass so at a point we’re enjoying it for something different imagine every movie was about racing they wouldn’t have lasted over a decade nonetheless 2. They evolved and fans who were real fans stayed fans

Gotta love how the song for when Neela drifts in that sequence in Tokyo Drift really ends up being the base of the melody to anything Tokyo related. Believe another variation played when Sean and the crew get to meet Han at the bbq later in the movie as well.
I believe Paul would be sorta disappointed how this franchise has strayed away from what it started out as, its suppose to be about street racing fast cars something he loved and lost his life from. Ladies and gents boys and girls what we have here is a new set of angels in town with newer and more badass moves is not Charlie's Angels but "Fast Angels" or Dom's Angels from the fast future

It never was ABOUT street racing, the only film in series that was ABOUT SR was third film, THATS IT, not first, not second movie was about street racing, it was about Undercover cop things, Races were side things, and Races never disappeared in main film series, there is always one race in each of them
Yeah, I can't defend these movies anymore. I was the one saying "hey the ridiculousness is part of their shtick", but at this point this is beyond ridicules this is just stupid. At the end of X, we find out Gisele is alive. How she ends up in Antarctica, yeah that shows you how much sense this movie makes, with a huge submarine is beyond me.
I actually love how it portrays the women teaming up on the trained killers... because honestly the only chance they would have if they just kept tag teaming and sand bagging them so they couldn't regroup. Obviously it is a movie but in reality those men have a huge advantage and those women are taking it away by repeatedly beating them and not letting them get set up. Tag team for the win ladies!!!
Man Mia has some cool moves here but letty still cool as ever great job lady's, but all they need now is add resident evils Alice and Claire and underworlds Selene. J/s
At least for me, the actual main story of Fast and furious are ended in Fast 5, because the ending is just perfect, 6 - 7 are prequel, and What happend after Fast 8 was spin off for me,
Probably the worst decision ever was to create the non-linear timeline to allow Han to be included in the sequels. That whole thing was clumsy and trying to pretend all these events occurred prior to Tokyo Drift when everyone is older not only wasn't believable, but opened the door to absurd ret-conning of events of the past (Dom's kid, Dom's brother, Han's alive, Mamoa's character in X, etc.)
