Types of Crepe Paper for Making Flowers

There’s a lot of crepe paper out there, from the inexpensive crepe paper streamers to the more expensive, high quality Italian crepe paper from Carte fini. There are many different weights to crepe paper, but I will focus on the most commonly used for crepe paper flowers. I will also note, Cartotecnica, Carte Fini and Lia Griffith throughout this video, as they seem to be the prominent sellers of high quality crepe paper.
**Correction - when I discuss Carte Fini, I was thinking of Cartotecnica. Both stores are great and have tons of Crepe Paper to choose from, but Cartotecnica is the place I purchased my Italian Crepe Paper.

Thank you for sharing the diff types of crepe paper. Yes. I am using the China ones and some which require heavier durable types , I will use the Italian ones. I bought some Lia Griffith's but have not start using them. I feel it depends on the flower types , you could use the papers accordingly. However the colors of the China papers are inconsistent, as well as the stretch... it may not stretch at all !

That is true - the Chinese crepe paper companies are very inconsistent with their colours.

Thanks for your details sharing, I was too innocent to order the crepe paper (at Sydney & from China website) but both of them can't find the Italian type (but all videos on youtube most of them used Italian one).
I was wonder why no any one youtuber say is Italian type at the title?
Now I have a lot of steamer rolls at home & can't do any. T_T

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to guess how much crepe paper you would need - too many variables. I would recommend purchasing a roll and making some flowers, and go from there.
