- Peter & Kitra adventure to D23 Expo 2019, the annual Disney fan convention at the Anaheim Convention Center. In part one of our adventure we take a look at the Disney, Pixar Animation and Star Wars pavillions, the interesting stuff for sale and on display at the D23 Expo Emporium, a pop-up Instagram experience called Uptown Disney, and we explore all the D23 Expo exclusive merchandise at the Disney Dream Store. And along the way we gawk and admire at all the interesting Disney cosplayers.

Think Disney should use the Flea from A Bug’s life and label this area Flea Market. This idea was inspired when Kitra pointed it out in one of the areas.

Donald not an ashtray, but a bowl for little kids. His head comes off (!) and you fill it with warm water to keep the bowl and food warm.

There are places called custom framing shops that will frame anything... you can find them in the phone book.
There are, I get stuff custom framed all the time but you run a problem when you need to frame something that's over 42 inches long, as its very costly to have glass or plexiglass that long.
@@OrdinaryAdventures True, but glass/plexi isn't your only option. You can also do a satin/matt/glossy laminate over the print. It's my primary method for my 16x72" panoramic photography prints that I sell. Print is sandwiched between a clear laminate and gaterboard backing and the framer can then build a frame around it. Its really light weight and the print is fully protected. ProPhoto Connection out in Irvine can help you out with that. Obviously I would not do that method with anything like for example an original Star Wars poster since it's permanent.

What camera did you end up using for D23?
Trying out the Sony a6400 with a rode video micro shotgun mic (that as you can hear I’ve had some beginner mistakes with in terms of where it should be pointed). On preview night I also had a m2 gimbal. Why? What do you think?
@@OrdinaryAdventures I think you did great considering its new gear at such a hectic event.
- Wide angle worked well since you had to film in tight crowds
- Color looked accurate
- Audio was fantastic. Crystal clear voices despite loud room. RodeMicro isolated you both
It definitely looked like an upgrade but I'm curious how you feel about the added bulk. You mentioned using a gimble on your preview night video but I dont know how necessary that is. Have you tried using a GorillaPod instead. They're less fragile, they're easy to mount on a tree or fence so both of you can step in frame (and eat) and the long handle makes it easy to carry your camera like a puppy so you can walk around with both hands free when not filming

I love the Country Bears! I remember going to see them over and over again when I was a girl. I also like Jar Jar. Love the look you gave Peter, it was priceless. That Dapper Dans spirit jersey though!!!!! I have to tell you that I’ve watched quite a few D23 expo videos and I enjoyed yours the most :)

The editing is fabulous. I think you are spot on with how much of a clip you show. In addition, I love the energy between you two. It’s obvious that you have mutual respect for each other and it never seems as if you are “acting” or being obsequious for the camera. Finally, I think that you both truly love what you are filming. Your videos come through as very authentic as opposed to videos that are trying to capitalize on a fan base. I hope you continue to make videos so I can watch them :)
