You do have to look for awhile before you find a gem. I might recommend the 2-month opportunity presented later in the video. Then you’re working with someone you know.
Thanks for the details. will try it out. and I must say, i love it that you go straight into it, with details, links, risks, all the relevant info unlike so many others who post videos and spend 3/4ths of the time just talking non-sense and only a little bit of useful stuff in the last couple of mins as if this is their claim to fame! so well done you! much appreciated! x
@@عبداللهأبوبكر-ل8ق The best you can do is look at their LinkedIn profile and see if they list LinkedIn as their employer in the Experience section (besides what they might say in the headline).
@@subhendunayak Thank you for your note. As I shared in my video, I don't have Premium myself and therefore don't have the ability to give it away for free. Please use the instructions in the video to find someone who can give it to you. Thanks!
I am truly grateful for your video. I tried this as suggested and I must say I am seeing a ton of solicitation from people or posts. And their directing me to contact them via WhatsApp. Now I know in the past that raises a red flag to me of scam, so have you ever come across something like this and if so, what do you recommend?
Wow!! You are my new favourite UA-cam channel! I am enjoying LinkenIn advice and the humour in your videos. I'm now going to binge watch your back catalogue and seriously up my game. Thank you 😊😊
Thanks for asking! Besides the information provided (including the screenshare that shows how the referral is done) between the 4:23 and 5:38 marks of the video, what questions do you have?
Hi, how do you know if its a scam or not? I lot of people want sell my the LinkedIn premium via a link to pay then show them the payment then they will send me the link. What the correct way. Thanks
Thanks for asking! From my understanding, it's best to only accept the offer from those who are offering it for free (i.e. not at just a discount) because they work for LinkedIn or they're already a Premium member and have the ability to refer 2 months. That means vetting their profiles.
Hello! Do any of the alternatives offer a 2-month or even 1-month free trial without requiring bank credentials, where you don’t have to cancel the subscription before the free trial expires?
Thanks for asking! I'm pretty sure that in all cases, you need to provide your payment information in case you exceed the 1- or 2-month limit. If anyone else has a different experience and sees this, please feel free to comment!
Hello! Thank you for this nice video. Do you know if one can still get a referral from a friend if one has subscribed and cancelled his/her premium plan?
There are lots of features you don't get with the free plan. Liked in Sales Navigator, you can do super-targeted searches for leads and track/manage your leads within the platform. Each plan offers a different value, depending on what's meaningful to you.
Personally I wouldn’t trust anything outside the LinkedIn platform, and even then I’d vet the strangers. You can ask someone you already know who has Premium for the 2 months.
@falcon20007 im doing the same right now. Can anyone share if the whatsapp options are scams? They are also asking for my Linkedin URL and are charging 50 USD. Curious?
Thanks for asking! You'll see other opportunities besides the 1- and 2-month trials in the video, and you can see what would fit for your circumstances.
This was really helpful and I understand you said you try the premium membership when we have time. However, I want to understand how can we reap benefits of this membership as I am sure many of us will not be aware of all tools and how to use them wisely. Thank you once again for an amazing video!
Thank you for asking! The benefits of membership depend on the plan, and each plan would merit several videos based on nuances. If we're speaking very generally, for Sales Navigator, for instance, I would say the key is creating a system for finding your ideal leads and then reaching out to them strategically. For LinkedIn Learning, it would be blocking out time in the calendar to take the courses that will help most with professional growth. There are definitely videos out there on other channels that go more into detail on each plan. If at some point I decide to permanently invest in a Premium plan, I'll be sure to do more videos about that plan, too!
This was a great Tip! Thank you for the information. I still cannot believe that you are over half a century, I would bet you are minus 15 to 20 years!
Thanks for asking! Journalists are "the press" and, by the nature of their job, have a great need for gathering information to share with others. It's a way of LinkedIn giving them a "press pass."
Hi! thanks for the video. I have a question, there are many Bangladeshi, Indians and Pakistanis who provide LinkedIn Premium and sales navigator for cheap price than LinkedIn. Just wondering how do they do that?
You'll have to carefully read their profiles to ensure they actually work for LinkedIn. And LinkedIn profile URLs are public information. But if they ask for login info, run far, far away!
Brooke, I have problem with linkedin premium and I didn't get help from linkedin support team. I got a shared 2months free trial from someone but can't use it. The link said "You re not eligible for a free trial at this time. You may already have a premium subscription or have used a free trial in the past. Reactivate your subscription or explore premium options" But i never subscrip premium since i have linkedin account. And i don't remember i have trial one month linkedin free trial in past 12 month becuase my linkedin account is not new account. There is "upgrade my plan" above "settings & privacy" it means I already used one month free trial? Where i can check when i used free trial?
Hi Betty! You've asked a really good question, and I can't see where you LinkedIn you can find if you had a free trial in the last 12 months. The only thing that comes *close* to that is in Settings & Privacy --> Account Settings --> View Purchase History. But that's only if you paid for LinkedIn, not if you had a free trial. I will tell you that only recently (like in the last week or so) was I given the option again to try LinkedIn for free. So you should get it back at sometime. I'm sorry I can't help you more with this!
Thank you very much Brooke! I am a new subscriber! English is not my first language, so I will appreciate very much if you can tell me if I understood well: if I use my free one month trial Sales Navigator, and then ask for a 6 months referral from LinkedIn employees, there is no chance for me to get them as I already got one free version? In that case it would be better not to use the one month and ask for the referral, right? Even though it might be only the Career plan. Thank you very much again! And I hope you can answer my comment :)
Thank you for your message, and thank you for subscribing! 😊 You are correct - don’t use the one-month trial now so that you can be eligible for a longer trial, such as 6 months. And by the way, if it’s hard for you to find a 6-month offer from a LinkedIn employee, then I‘d suggest going for the 2-month referral that I talk about later in the video.
Thanks for asking! I did not come across that in my research (and I did a LOT of research!). But are you saying that this exists? If so, where did you find it?
I would like to try it. I did check and there are some people who are posting their WhatsApp information. This to me sounds fishy. How would you know if they are legit?
On mobile, the only way I know how to toggle between Top posts and Recent posts is to go to Settings (tap on your profile pic at the top and then tap on Settings at the bottom), and then under Account Preferences, go to Feed Preferences.
