@@booradley6832 But it's true. What he says is true. There have been several blue posts on this. Blizzard have always allowed it. They ban if they suspect someone is using automation software (which would turn multi boxing into botting) Other than that it's always been allowed and Blizzard have never been shy of saying it.
They're getting away with a lot, just Blizzard allows it for money. Also, not automation? Then why cant it be run without a program? You press one key and it replicates it 40 times doing something you could not do without a program built specifically to do it for you. Or simply, you play one character and a program automates the other 39 to mimic it. That's about as close as you can get to it, but since its a massively profitable thing for the company its "just an honest gaming tactic." Right. People that defend multiboxing are the same kind of people who like to watch simulated underage porn because its "technically legal" "its not unethical just because she says she's 11" and "why do you hate freedom."

@@booradley6832 multiboxing isnt bottling and you dont need 3rd party software to do it. During wrath of the lich king one of my RL friends wrote a series of macros to multibox with and opened a ticket, emailed the macros he made and got a response that it was okay. This script was used to control 5 characters at once. Just because you're shit at coding doesnt mean it's not possible or botting. There is always 1:1 input and action. A bot is you press start and code is run, multibox 1 key press = 1 action
How about you trying to farm mats in nazjatar to level your professions and not being able to see a single node because there are 5 stacks of 10 druids flying around in every shard of the game? Doesn't that count as gameplay disruption? This has been going on for months now.
I am instantly sucked out of the game and usually thrown for a bit of an existential loop when I see this shit. Makes me wonder why I even want MMOs anymore.
@@r.h.3084 My guild lead was one of the most successful RMT in GuildWars (he has over a million USD worth of gold). I can say pretty confidently that even one multibox toon is making life way too easy for RMT'ers.
the level of mental gymnastics mulitboxers have put themselves through to be able to think its okay or even good for the game is honestly disheartening. one player should have the power of one player.
@@tommyakis Which keeps people buying tokens for money because it keeps the value up.....which gets back to people buying gold, and lines Activision pockets.
@@tommyakis this is just stupid. you cant buy tokens in classic and multiboxers dont have bots. and as far as farming gold goes: 1 mage can farm gold better than any team of multiboxers. does that make mages bannable if they are aoe farming? look up mages farming in classic. is that cheating? is that "unbalancing the wow economy?"
It’s not that they don’t care. It’s that multiboxers are a direct result of a combination of blizzards policies. In the long run it is far better for the game to allow multiboxers than it be a huge detriment to restrict them.
That blue post was so dumb. Yes it's using third party programs to accomplish something the in-game macro system isnt designed to do. Yes its automation. Yes its unfair. But we have a special super duper secret definition of botting therefore it's not against the rules. If I turn my computer on and start a program. I'm also giving input.
Multi-boxing defeats the very purpose of playing the game with a single character. The moment you automate something, then there is no more value in human input. The only thing it does is to mature the economy / game progression quickly, and I won't be surprise that the economies of Classic will catch up with the current WoW servers in a very short period of time. Not like Activision cares, since all they want to see is the $.
Think of it like this: stories about making friends in WoW and slaying dragons with your armored comrades, while cringy, aren't anywhere as pathetic as telling people you controlled 20 characters at once in World of Warcraft and spent lots of money to create an unfair advantage over others. idk what satisfaction these guys get from multiboxing an MMO but we should probably feel bad for them.
Why would it be pathetic? I MB’d for almost all of BC and WotLK because my I’ve always had the most fun farming and crafting, hunting rare recipes, and offering my supplies and professions to the members of my faction. I’ve always raided and casually PVP’d, but when I’m not in a group.... well I’m still in a group. I stopped MBing when Cata came out and didn’t resume it until the WoW token was introduced. With WoW tokens, MBing has no drawbacks and only advantages. For example, when 8.2 came out in retail, I earned gold cap on 5 characters in a little over a month just farming ore/herbs. MBing also saves tons of time when trying to farm for very rare items and pain in the ass mats (wild vine, motes of shadow, etc). The best part? no matter how high token prices get, or how many cosmetics they release through the store, or how many times I need to change faction/server I don’t ever have to spend a dime on WoW. When a new expansion or other acti-blizz game comes out, I don’t ever have to pay a dime. Hell, it’s made me enough gold to where I could basically quit retail, only play classic, and by the time I run out of gold for tokens, classic will probably be dead. I wouldn’t say MBing is pathetic and not because I do it. It actually takes some knowledge and skill to do it well (e.g. really understanding macros). Pathetic would be spending additional real money to buy gold or a level boost, which before the WoW token’s introduction, was most prevalent in vanilla/tbc days. 1-60 boosts were especially expensive back in the day. Pathetic would be spending real money to buy gold in classic. At least when people bought gold in vanilla, the game’s content was still new compared to now. MBing/gold farming is practically a progression system in its own right (especially in retail). Talents, gear, buffs, routes, skips, LoS, and other min-maxing are all important aspects of farming. And to reiterate, I personally have the most fun farming/crafting in WoW. My friends list is full of people who wanted to add me just based on my professions. Want that rare xmog that only comes from a crazy rare world drop recipe in BC? I have them all for every profession. Want Vial of the Sands (or other crafted mount/pet), but you don’t have the recipe? I can make them all. These are just examples, but you get the idea. P.S. I stopped raiding when 8.3 came out due to cancer design choices, but guess what? I’ll still have AoTC, CE, and M+ achievements for this season.
@@kylem8320 We're all very proud of you and are all super impressed by your achievements that you felt the need to extensively list infront of us (for some reason, definitely not related to needing validation for your choices) along with your rationale -that you seem to have spent a lot of time thinking about and preparing to defend yourself against this very accusation.... but its still pathetic as fuck
Does almost nothing to me? Kills node spawns, ruins the economy, makes the average player unable to sell goods, makes world pvp even less fun somehow and overloads shards with useless players who wont contribute to anything and nobody who would can get in. But if making most of the game worse in some capacity is "nothing" then sure, they do nothing to me.
It depresses me to think that all the Scarab lords might be multi boxers. Not sure how normal people are supposed to compete with them with the Bronze Dragon rep farm...
Multiboxers clear the mobs from quest areas at a rate that leaves very little for the average person questing. In my own personal experience there have been multiple occasions that I've run into a multi boxer farming an area that includes the quests I need and I either have to wait for them to leave or try to wait for and snag respawns, reinforcing a negative experience for me. While I'm sure multiboxing is utilized for mostly questing I can only imagine the implications it could have for PvP. How annoying would it be to have one player dominate you with 5 characters just because they're willing to dish out the money to blizzard. Personally, I beleive that multiboxing doesn't have any positive affects on the WoW community, none that I can see anyway. Overall, an eye sore, an inconvenience for other players and a gray area for blizzard to exploit for more money. Side note: I perceive this as a form of payed power leveling which breaks the working progress system that is classic WoW. Fundamentally going against the entire work/reward complex of the game in relativity to other players. Do you deserve to be level 60 if you don't have the patience to acquire it through traditional means?
Here's a simple way to figure this out. When WoW was originally developed, did the developers intend the game to be played as a single character meeting other characters for grouping? Or was it designed for someone to control five characters at a time? Multiboxing should be banned.
@YumYum TV I'm going to be honest about this. I'm not trying to be mean or hateful so take it at face value. Auction houses are not meant to be the main source of someone's herbs or ore or even leather. What they are supposed to be is a short term substitute to solve an inconveince. I make most of my money on the auction house be profiting off of the people who can't be bothered to go farm things for themselves. There is am unlimited supply of herbs out there and if you spend the time to go get them then the auction house stops being a problem. I mean I understand what you're saying, but this isn't a multibox issue. The issue is your server not having anyone else out there farming.
Without even watching the video how could multi boxing be anything but bad? I need to watch this now just to see how long he can drag out a one word answer. No.
Its cheating and against the narrative and whole point of any RPG or MMO. You are suppose to be your character, that is your avatar.... You are not an Old God that has control over 40 minds in perfect unison at the same time, its an RPG not a RTS. Multi-boxing is essentially just changing the format from RPG to RTS where you are controlling an entire army not one character that is meant to be your avatar
My guild leader has 5 accounts and muiltboxs a lot of the tedious stuff we have to do often(Scholo flask runs, DMT buffs, UBRS portal clear) its a nice quality of life change for the rest of the guild members, plus allows our guild bank to be stocked.
there are two types, the alt tab player: using two seperate accounts to help with quests, or to boost an alt mage to boost alts on your main acct. control 1 at a time the cheater: uses lots of accts to sell boosts for real life currency, troll, running multiple accounts auto running to auto farm high teir mats(lotus, pearls, etc.) or selling hacked in game boosts(flying auto zg as an example)
How about when you're questing in some low level area and some way overly leveled boxer is pulling and killing all the mobs you need for absolutely no reason? Ya, tons of fun.
Yes it's not great for wow, but, it's not on the top of my list of concerns about the game currently. Have you been to Lands Edge Beach lately? On my server it's just bots farming turtles all day every day non stop.
Im actually trying to research some botting stuff and what people are doing tbh (for yt ofc :)) I know whenever I go to DME there is for sure people botting
Anytime I look at something like this in a game, I completely ignore the money costs. Yes, it takes really good software or multiple computers to do, but I would rather look at how people who have those setups affect the game instead of how easy it is to do. I don't care if little Timmy Jones can't have his mom buy him a good enough computer, I care about the asshole who rolls through with 10 accounts and makes life hell for whoever is there until they leave My full opinion: If it is for personal reasons or for solo content, I could not care less. Use 2, 10, 40, 200 accounts if you want, go for it. If you are using it for PvP, killing npcs in low level area quest zones, etc. than you should be punished somehow. Making the game better for you is good, unless it harms others.
It’s bad for players who can’t afford MULTIPLE subs. Really not fun to play with such assholes. Sucks more when they PvP they way. Blizzard won’t allow it if on same account, but if another account with separate subsections, they will let you do as many as you want. It should not be allowed. Once spotted they should be banned.
real multiboxer don't sell accounts... those are gold/account sellers that are "USING" multiboxing. They would do it with bots just as easily. Multiboxers value our accounts and time we put into them and want to use them and would never sell them.
I just think that in an MMO multiplayer is a key part in that and to be able to do most of the content by yourself because it is just one person then it shouldn't be allowed.
@@learningagain4094 Not if youre supposed to need a group of people to do it. Thats why I said "close". Hell, in Wrath I was able to solo ZF as a 52 balance druid. Ive also seen mages in classic solo ZF at dungeon level (45 or so). Is it still a big difference?
@@SvendleBerries I still do think it's a big difference considering usually people who solo content (USUALLY) will require a lot of skill such as Mages farming dungeons require really well timed Blizzards. On the other hand you have a single guy who presses one button and basically wins, not to mention he doesn't need to strategize with other players because he controls them. Multiboxxing is just wrong, toxic (since usually it's used for toxic reasons a perfect example being that multiboxxers are used to kill whole raid groups. I've even seen a clip of this Twitch streamer multiboxxer getting really annoyed when an entire raid duped him. It's just not meant for an MMO, it isn't a single player game (so you might be able to make an argument for it on retail)> so it has no place in the game.
EverQuest is a MMO about 5 years older than WoW and I think people would do well to look at the history of this type of thing in MMO by how it has affected that game. IMO, this is simply history repeating itself. Boxing has been around almost since EQ started by people willing to play 2 accounts at the same time on 2 different computers. (remember, this is back in 1999) Over the last 21 years, EQ is little more than a Boxing game with the entire game mechanics being balanced around what can be done Boxing 3 accounts. Nobody groups anymore, and the economy is solely based on Krono (EQ's version of WoW tolkens, which EQ started way before Blizz did, but I believe LOTRO pioneered the idea) People say that Boxing has saved EQ from dying many years ago, and that might be true, but it has also LONG AGO stopped being the MMO that was loved during it's reign in the MMO market before WoW came out. The combination of Boxing/Krono(WoW tolkens) has promoted a shameful example of greed that mirrors the company that maintains it. It stops being a game of cooperation and teamwork and starts (at some point) being a game of a MAD DASH for the latest in game pixels and locking down the latest raids in "farm status". I prefer cooperation and teamwork over greed, but then again what do I know? I'm just pointing out that we DO have a historical reference to look to for guidance. This Boxing thing is NOT a new thing in MMO's.
Hey WillE if you have any more question about boxing let me know... FYI getting a 5 man group to 60 is a lot slower than leveling one character even with all the spell cleave/melee cleave options.. I know a lot of multiboxers and have had a lot to do with the community over the years and not once have I heard of anyone leveling multiple accounts with boxing to sell them nor have I heard anyone even talk about this as a good money making scheme.. gold selling maybe especially on retail were you can farm so much gold with all the features blizz have added to the game.. in classic i can run UD live side for orb in about 30 mins then reset the dungeon and start again.. i make pretty good gold that way but remember im still splitting it across my 5 characters... I still don't have Epic Mounts on my 4 alts and we are now almost 6 months into classic... also in terms of world PVP multiboxers are a huge target and spend more time dead than being able to gank.. i rolled pve because of this
took me 3 months to level my 5 man team to 60. its not the big cash grab some people make it out to be. 1 mage can outfarm any other combination of chars. look at all the solo mage aoe farming vids out there. ppl dont do mb just to farm and get tons of gold. ... myth.
I never had a problem with it until they started to mass raid PVP. I que for a PVP battleground, just to end up with 1 or 2 people multi-boxing and one shoot anyone. Then they camp rare mobs in Panda land for xp boost. I could go on :/ another reason why I left the game.
The token in EVE allowed people to more easily multibox and lead to more people running logistic alts. It completely ruined my playstyle in EVE. In retail, it felt awful to try to herb for money, then some dude with 5 taurens in the hivemind mount just picks herbs alongside u, effectively being 5 times as effective as you are. It makes gathering activites just feel completely unrewarding. As far as paying off those accounts, early BfA, you could generate enough gold to pay for those 5 accounts with 1 afternoon farming hard, then the rest of the month is just $$$. It takes any notion of a fair playing field off the table.
Multiboxing is the lamest of the lame. When ever i see a multiboxer all i think is "what a total loser nerd". That aside its actually terrible and very unfair. It is a form of cheating. But blizzard try to ignore it as its more money in their pockets.
Why is it lame. I don't pvp i pve only. I get to do my own raids and own dungeons. I don't have to let people down when i have to abruptly leave the raid group because real life happens.
@@biggc49042 because it effects the nature of the game, not to mention the ingame economy? Though if you just do it for pve and in isolated instances the damage done is minimal so good on you for doing that I suppose.
I consider them no diffrent from other bots.. they are 4/5 bots after all if u have a 5man running. So they shuld all get banned but i guess we have to accept blizzard doesnt want to do it.. alteast they are not pretending like with general botting.
As a multiboxer I find it good for the game, I get to play a puzzle game with dungeon's, figuring out ways to get past tricky bosses, etc. For the wider community, I always thought the simplest solution to keep everyone happen is have "mb" servers, PvE-MB and PvP-MB, then 1boxers can chose to roll on "normal" servers that don't allow multiboxing or if they are okay with multiboxing, have friends that multibox, etc they can roll on the "MB" servers. Could put them on the same battlegroup and allow multiboxing in BG's for them as well.
I have seen more multiboxing players than Alliance kill squads on my servers. Honestly, my only care in this is the fact that it makes playing a single account difficult when the multiboxers are killing all the quest mobs farming a mount.
I've been against multi-boxing since 2005. It can easily take away player agency that normal solo or small group PVP cannot resolve. Most multi-boxers do so as a way to grief others, and that's just not fun for anybody else.
This is the same as a guy walking in to the blizzard theme park buying a bunch of drugs and alcohol from blizzard and then he begins throwing bottles to little kids and it's OK caus he bought it from blizzard
@a cube Multiboxing is like getting kids drunk? U wot m8? lol I think a more apt analogy would be one person buying every seat in the cinema so he can watch a movie alone. Yeah, its irritating and youre inconvenienced, so what? Go to another cinema, ask for your money back, find something else to do. Whatever. Life isnt that complicated if you know what youre doing. Getting kids drunk lol whats wrong with you? And 9 people gave you thumbs up. Hoo boy lol
Multibox mages killing quest givers on repeat and ganking me while questing. I'd much rather a group of 5 people doing this behavior than one fat nerd. Just because it takes practice doesnt make it ok imo
Its very toxic and harmfull, wasting other people's time is never fun nor should it be allowed. Battlegrounds can be just one example. if theres a 40 man multibox joining a battleground wtf fun is there about that, what about the experience of other people in the battleground? Can they pvp him? NO, can they join the bg? NO, it takes up slots of others and its just plain selfish. Not to even touch the market or economy side of the argument. I remember that post you had about botters spam farming dungeons, this can literally do RAIDS. i mean sure for some raids it can be considered *Impressive* but the principle of the game is being tossed out the window. I remember alterac valley multiboxers just completely destroying the whole experience. Just camp the bridge or the warmaster and you got yourself a never ending honour farm for them. Really toxic and game breaking. Ofcourse resulting in people quiting the bg after they got tired of getting oneshotted a million times. Then ofcourse later the accounts get sold anyway so theres another breach of service. NOT A SINGLE MULTIBOXER EVER KEEPS THEIR ALTS. At some point it always reaches a cost profit margin for them to just sell the account and move on either playing with a new class or just farm cleave the next batch. The argument of spending 15 dollars a month is meaningless because of this. 15 euros or 100 euros. 1 month its easy to level to max with gear included for a team of 5+, quests are irrelevent as is honour farming. evrything is x5 so lets say 15x5 = 75 vs 5 x 100 = 500. 500-75=425. So you just made them 425 euro's. Now lets move to RAID GEAR CHARACTERS. lets assume worst case scenario of the lowest demand. 300$ raid ready. thats 5x300-75. 1425. 1425!!!!!!!!! can you see the problem here? If done correctly with character transfer name change it will never be noticed not by blizzard anyway, they dont give 2 shits. So this will just keep going and going. Ofcourse the real problem is people buying them but honestly why the fuck is this considered plausible but botting isnt? it both effects the economy of the game, it both effects character leveling and gameplay, and it allways ends up in a tos violation anyway, so there points 3-0 vs why to keep multiboxing. Oh right because some fancy orgrimmar show is fucking important. what fucking bullshit.
These multiboxers are the types of people who would barge ahead of you in the grocery line with 400 things in their cart, then rip out a massive fart in your direction while scratching their 300 lb belly and belching. All of this while they think to themselves how smart and clever they are. They truly don't give a crap what others think of them.
I think it should be bannable too. However you don't lose the respect of players. My guild took advantage of a multi boxer sadly in terms of summons, world bosses, raid and dungeon groups and didn't seem to mind
As a multiboxer myself on Retail, I ofc enjoy multiboxing but I do see that it can be abused. I think that we should look more at the power of an individual when assessing if an instance of multiboxing has gone too far. I don't exactly see a problem with someone running their own raid should they want to do that on their own. But see it as a problem when they cause disruption that is un-natural and against the spirit of the game, such a causing lag or camping grave yards for an excessive amount of time.
It just depends on the boxer. A single player on a single Rogue camping the right area is far worse than your average multiboxer. I personally don't do anything with my box that people are complaining about below. Farming reagents from dungeons currently doesn't really matter because of how many bots there are. - so by doing this I'm not ruining anything it's already there.
Have a few multiboxers in my guild. They're my friends. They routinely use their multibox to help out the guild. One of them uses hers to literally port and summon us around to get buffs on raid day. It's REALLY fucking useful. She's really fucking cool. I enjoy watching her do all her neat setups and stuff with it. She's gotten me interested in trying it myself. She's also like one of the best main tanks I've ever seen. Fucking TPS scientist, I swear.
I also love watching her stream, it's fascinating. She'll like, do Dire Maul North herself and try to break her record for speed, offer 100g to anyone that can beat her record, etc. I'm fine with multiboxers. It's something that actually takes skill and knowledge to use on her level. It's truly impressive. I have an issue with botters, though.I think that has a more dramatic negative effect on the game as a whole. That's where most of your broken economy comes from.
I rlly dont have so much friends to play (serious) the game,so I use this to do dungeons in the vanilla. The RDF helped me a lot in the later expansions. EDIT:I used to do this in private servers because of the low population but I bought 6 months of Classic Wow yesterday and I wont use mbx
Those Blizzard posts using semantic arguments to defend multiboxing are fucking ridiculous and quite frankly disgusting. "You can just fear and CC 10 mages that all instant frostbolt you" yeah okay buddy, what a fucking joke.
As someone who has played runescape where some players will level multiple accounts simultaneously when doing more tedious and less demanding tasks, I went into this thinking it's fine. If a player is going through the effort to control multiple accounts at once and input the commands to control each one then what's the problem? They're still just playing the game as intended only they're doing it multiple times simultaneously. But the second you mentioned macros I changed my mind. Using macros for this shit shouldn't be allowed. This shit is cheating.
I have a guildie who multiboxes, he's a great guy and does no harm whatsoever, he just wants to lvl his chars and do easier grinding for his own sake. Not all multiboxers are after profits, most just want to play the game in a way that's more exiting or a new adventure for themselves.
I don't believe that even for a second. I have meet many multiboxer and at some point they all do something to ruin other players. You just don't see him abusing it.
A small amount of Multiboxing is great for the low population servers like mine (Horde Pagle). As resources are not fully utilized and demand exceeds supplies in the auction house. Personally, I have 2 multi boxers in my guild and I find that they are good people who are passionate about helping out our community. I for one appreciate the skillset required and enjoy that the barrier to entry is too much for most.
I mean for PvE go for it... but for PvP it's complete bullshit and not a fair battle. Blizzard only allows it because of the extra money they are getting per month. Honestly, I think people who multibox are stupid. Once you get used to using the program to control all of your characters... it literally makes the game too easy.
Agreed. My opinion of people who do it is that they're complete lameass D bag cheaters who don't respect a challenge, the game as it was meant to be played, or other players. They're also the type who don't care that others dislike what they're doing.
I've run up to ten concurrent accounts. It was fun. At this point I'd run three Max and drag a couple friends or willing PUGs along. If I do that I make sure to let them have nodes, and to be reasonable with gear/not cheat them out of needs.
Multiboxing keepin the game alive baby, like it or not you get what you pay for. If you pay more you get more that's the way the world's worked for thousands of years lol. I don't see that changing any time soon.
You would think that would be an exploit to the game when 10-20 can pick one herb in classic, because of multi boxing, I do not think that is what Blizzard had in mind when it was created. Blizzard should do something about it. Black Lotus, Ghost Mushrooms, and other herbs where only meant to have one or two, not more. Can they loot in raid, and get the same items all at once too? I know very well Blizzard should be looking into something where T- Gear comes into play. I have issues with changing the WOW classic to that degree. Gold is still being sold, all you have to do is a search on it. Some are bold and on discord ask if you want to buy gold. I when in a BG, well those are hard hitting as they come, focus fire is one thing, but when you get hit by many at once, HORRABLE. There is a reason why it's called Classic, it's not Vanilla. Blizzard wanted to make sure that there will be changes made. I do not mind multi boxers if used with in reason. But I would like to see some sever created just for those players who only play one toon at a time. I am a senior, a widow, my income is very limited. I can't afford two accounts much less 3-5 or more, or the PC power and internet that it would take to do such a thing. But what I can afford is moving my toon over to a sever that would have these rules in place. I know there are folks that want to play that way, and can afford to do so. Blizzard wants to make money. Just do something like that does not state they have an issue, but a choice of play style.
if they did that the multiboxers would end up by themselves and couldnt feel superior no more. They would unsubscribe and blizzard would lose money hence not gonna happen
@@jonathanrabcewicz6191 I know, I agree, but they are selling gold, I don't think it's all about feeling superior. I think it is their business. They are making money off of selling gold. I know it's something that can't be controlled unless we let Blizzard sell gold in classic, like in retail. We would not see so many multi boxing bots. The only Ones that would be left multi boxing are the ones that run dungeons after dungeons. to lvl accts to sell. Jon I think you are right in some respects, for their are players like that. But I know for a fact their are players selling gold to make money, I hear it on discord all the time, about selling of gold and hiring someone to lvl toons. From both sides. Unlike in vanilla where it was easy to report them, and see the accts gone in a matter of days. You have no proof of such conversations going on. It is a problem that will continue. And I have no answer to such a thing. Jon stay safe and healthy.
Most people quit classic after seeing how cheaters (multiboxers on top of flyhack) made 1000s of gold within a hour on stream, while others watching it on stream were grinding Tyr's hand for some silver per mob, making people disgusted, demotivated, uninstall the game. Same happened to retail, they lost millions of players the day they defended multiboxers and botters (as they also were the gold selling bots in Diablo 2 chat if you remember, they were mostly all Blizzard bots). Let them fuck themselves, we finally have good MMORPG's coming our way, let Blizzard eat themselves up, nobody really cares if you look at the playerbase today, you meet people from EVERY REALM, because there barely are players,; look at the respond when they Extending Shadowlands, maybe 10 replies, nobody cares. We have Ashes of Creation coming, we have Amazon's New World incoming (beta was good, but the endgame they are working on now will be greater), we have new company Dreamhaven (Mike Morheim) and Warchief gaming (Chris Metzen). Basicly people still playing WoW are going to see less and less people, and you shouldn't even have the right to wonder why, as you obviously are blind if you defend Blizzard's point of view. "But they pay for 4x accounts so why not?" well, you can also pay for Wallhack/aimbot that remains undetectable forever in CS:GO if you pay monthly aswell, think about it, the fact that you still need to think about it probably means you are a cheater in your blood.
Before watching. No. Never. It's toxic. After. Multiboxers deserve to get their accounts banned and their characters wiped and camped. I don't care if someone is rich irl. The game is about focusing on one character at a time and be fully involved. Multiboxing turns characters into hollow shells that are abused to exploit the world as well as ruining interactions with other players. Literally the only people that enjoy it is the multiboxer themselves. It's scummy and shouldn't be allowed.
@@inasatok Who gives a fuck about the majority? You two are morally fucking bankrupt. Literally sitting here trying to tell others how to play, then trying to call them the bad guys as you make complete asses of yourself. I guess thats why YOU arent in charge, and thank the stars for that.

Not bad for the game iMO, but it is very unpopular and in WoW Classic I think that it breaks the spirit of the game (why people are playing WoW Classic mostly, the community). That said, I've boxed 5-man (trinity) on PServers for years (not using ISBoxer) and it is a lot more challenging than most people realize. I've defeated all 5-man dungeons (with Scholo & Dire Maul being greatest accomplishments). And farmed ZG for bijous and coins. Not easy.
Eh dont mind it so much. no matter what it takes a lot of time to both level and gear out your characters. you cant bg enough to get rank 14 multiboxing. so you are left with having a good farm at max level. Woo they can farm righteous orbs solo.
Undoubtedly multi boxing is fun and harmless when you never interact with or seen by anyone and treat the game as a solo experience, however it is provides numerous unfair advantages that are not welcome in a multiplayer environment
With all due respect, the idea of Bliz only allowing MBs because of the multiple subscriptions lacks perspective to me. 15$ per sub, so 75$ per 5man box. That is nothing for a company this large. If boxing was as harmful as the detractors portray it to be, the loss in normal players would easily outweigh whatever pennies the 3 people and a dog that multibox contribute. I do, however, understand private servers saying no, as lack of the barrier to entry the sub provides would stress their servers alot.
I think you're partially wrong about multiboxers and the wow economy, at least in classic. Retail has been changed to serve up multiboxers tons of farm though. In classic it is botters who are screwing the AH the hardest. Look at the level 40 zones where you can farm small flame sacs or elemental earth. classic wow has tons of botters right now and next to no new multiboxers.
If blizzard doesn’t care and just wants money fuck it, but they should make specific servers for multi boxers, that way it’s fair because everyone on those severs will be multi boxers, then leave the rest of us regular players alone.
jagex consider multiboxing to be botting and so do i. also any multiboxer that doess world pvp is by default leveraging the immensely unfair advantage of having multiple people on one! it's like i was at all times running around with my guild group at my side.
If this was ever supposed to be allowed, you would be allowed to multi-box on ONE ACCOUNT with all your toons as long as it was from the same I.P. As others have said this plague needs to be classed as cheating but hey, Blizzard is failing in everything else, why should this be different?
No. Blizzard allows it because it pads their pockets, and we all know that. It's obvious, it's against the rules to use 3rd party programs to perform game inputs. They simply look the other way for the sheckles. Think about it: if you could just pay 2x sub fee and do 2x damage? Etc?

multiboxers are monopolising the black lotus market. on the dot, every hour, multiboxer logs in all his alts, finds the lotus that's just appeared and grabs it, then logs them out again. shit like that alone should show multiboxing is broken.

How about you trying to farm mats in nazjatar to level your professions and not being able to see a single node because there are 5 stacks of 10 druids flying around in every shard of the game? Doesn't that count as gameplay disruption? This has been going on for months now.
For me the atmosphere is the most important thing about wow and seeing 40 chars synchronise every move kills it completely.
I am instantly sucked out of the game and usually thrown for a bit of an existential loop when I see this shit. Makes me wonder why I even want MMOs anymore.

It’s not that they don’t care. It’s that multiboxers are a direct result of a combination of blizzards policies. In the long run it is far better for the game to allow multiboxers than it be a huge detriment to restrict them.
"pretty strong accusations"
Uh. Pretty well founded and reasonable if you play the game for longer than a few months.
If it did not require multiple subs it would never be allowed.

It depresses me to think that all the Scarab lords might be multi boxers. Not sure how normal people are supposed to compete with them with the Bronze Dragon rep farm...
thats a really good point would make the title completely pointless
Multiboxing should be banned.
except the devs were doing it too lol

Tanaris ogre camp is also heavily botted.
I don't care if little Timmy Jones can't have his mom buy him a good enough computer, I care about the asshole who rolls through with 10 accounts and makes life hell for whoever is there until they leave
My full opinion: If it is for personal reasons or for solo content, I could not care less. Use 2, 10, 40, 200 accounts if you want, go for it. If you are using it for PvP, killing npcs in low level area quest zones, etc. than you should be punished somehow. Making the game better for you is good, unless it harms others.
thats just world pvp in a nutshell

How do you get the raid frames like that at 2:03? Is that an addon or ingame setting?
Yes its ingame. It's in the raid tab of Social (O key).
(remember, this is back in 1999)
Over the last 21 years, EQ is little more than a Boxing game with the entire game mechanics being balanced around what can be done Boxing 3 accounts. Nobody groups anymore, and the economy is solely based on Krono (EQ's version of WoW tolkens, which EQ started way before Blizz did, but I believe LOTRO pioneered the idea)
People say that Boxing has saved EQ from dying many years ago, and that might be true, but it has also LONG AGO stopped being the MMO that was loved during it's reign in the MMO market before WoW came out.

Probably the worst analogy I've ever read
@a cube
Multiboxing is like getting kids drunk? U wot m8? lol I think a more apt analogy would be one person buying every seat in the cinema so he can watch a movie alone.
Multiboxing might not be banable right now but it should be, and even when you multibox youll lose the respect of other players
me dude I’m pretty sure Boxers don’t care about other people, or whether they have their respect.
But see it as a problem when they cause disruption that is un-natural and against the spirit of the game, such a causing lag or camping grave yards for an excessive amount of time.
multi boxing should be a perma ban

I want to try this with my 2 accounts not more. I don't like massive multi boxing. I still miss some mounts on retail and I'm lvling in vanilla.
Blizzard released that being killed over and over in WPvP is a legitimate tactic and not game breaking
Not all multiboxers are after profits, most just want to play the game in a way that's more exiting or a new adventure for themselves.
true
I don't believe that even for a second. I have meet many multiboxer and at some point they all do something to ruin other players.
You just don't see him abusing it.
if he is a multiboxer he is not a great guy
Bad for the game, it only benefits Blizzard. I was a gold farmer and I choose to spend my money on something else.
I like it because people can multi box the rep for the AQ opening event which opens AQ for the whole server faster
@@daryl4841 a challenge? You try doing a 20man raid by your self and tell me about a challenge.
Multiboxing makes the game Pay2Win. Simple as that.
At least not everyone needs to compensate, so we don't get too many mental people doing that
Tokens made the game pay2win
Always gotta love having a party of like 10 - 20 max level tauren shamans multiboxing camp the stormwind acution house.
1 key operating 5 accounts sounds like automation to me automation of 4 accounts
That's what it means to you, not to other people, your not everyone.
@@tarb1320 not everyone, but the majority have the same opinion.
@@inasatok Who gives a fuck about the majority? You two are morally fucking bankrupt.
Literally sitting here trying to tell others how to play, then trying to call them the bad guys as you make complete asses of yourself. I guess thats why YOU arent in charge, and thank the stars for that.
@@frostdracohardstyle In a multiplayer game how one player plays affects how everyone else plays. A boxer with 5 accounts brings 5 times the inflation to the game that one player does.
@@frostdracohardstyle Uhhh I'm sorry but "morally bankrupt" doesn't apply to this bud. And no I'm not making an ass of myself. But you are.
Woo they can farm righteous orbs solo.
most bultiboxers i know (myself included) dont do bgs. follow does not work in bgs. some of us dont care one bit for HONOR RANKINGS.
Multiboxing is toxic as it gets for Warcraft it literally ruins the game
Undoubtedly multi boxing is fun and harmless when you never interact with or seen by anyone and treat the game as a solo experience, however it is provides numerous unfair advantages that are not welcome in a multiplayer environment
Ban it in battegrounds, everywhere else while it may suck should still be allowed. Ruins BGs though
Boooo, ban it, account sharing.
Follow doesn't work in BGs you fucking clown, you haven't been able to multibox in retail for years and was never possible in classic.
Nothing feels as good as destroying a multiboxing scrub for x5 the honor.
Multiboxers are cheaters and ruin the game.
jagex consider multiboxing to be botting and so do i.
also any multiboxer that doess world pvp is by default leveraging the immensely unfair advantage of having multiple people on one! it's like i was at all times running around with my guild group at my side.

If this was ever supposed to be allowed, you would be allowed to multi-box on ONE ACCOUNT with all your toons as long as it was from the same I.P. As others have said this plague needs to be classed as cheating but hey, Blizzard is failing in everything else, why should this be different?
I'm a mix of both. At the end of the day, I dont care if people multi box, but when I see it in game it just makes me sad. My immersion!!!
No. Blizzard allows it because it pads their pockets, and we all know that. It's obvious, it's against the rules to use 3rd party programs to perform game inputs. They simply look the other way for the sheckles. Think about it: if you could just pay 2x sub fee and do 2x damage? Etc?
My gm complained about multi boxing via ticket, got 3 day ban. Just in time for bwl.
1 mage can earn more gold aoe farming than any group of multiboxers. you are a complaining whiney baby. you just mad because bilzz is making money.
billyum braskey? do you use addons? if you do.. you are a cheater.! you should be banned.
@@willt5478 addons arent the same as using 3rd party software to input game commands. but, no, i dont.
@Wubsie lmao, grasping false equivalencies
@Wubsie do you know what a false equivalency even is? so fucking stupid.
Lots of this and lots of botting now
Seen so many bots and I keep reporting them but they are still here.
you can tell he likes multiboxing
multiboxers are monopolising the black lotus market. on the dot, every hour, multiboxer logs in all his alts, finds the lotus that's just appeared and grabs it, then logs them out again. shit like that alone should show multiboxing is broken.
