    Our Rating System:
We rate albums out of 10. Any album that scores 8 or higher gets a Toe Tag. If an album gets Two Toe Tags then it gets added to the list in the link above. We do not review EP's but we may cover them in our New Release videos should they come up.
In regards to our Reaction videos:
As many of you know UA-cam can be an unpredictable and often unfair place when it comes to copyright rules and their enforcement. If our video ends up getting cut due to copyright reasons it will be labeled in the title as a Review rather than a Reaction. The music video portion of the video will be cut out and you will only see our before and after thoughts. Unfortunately this is the best we can do under those circumstances and we would appreciate a Like rating on our videos to help us overcome any negative algorithmic affects.

Evergrey have always been exceptional songwriters. Tom is one of the best melody writers in Metal, imo.
I love the album. Not my favorite Evergrey album, but its a damn good one.

Tom makes Evergrey. He gives them their trademark sound. Throw in someone with more energy or harsher vocals, and theyre just another metal band.
His soulful voice brings these songs to life, imo.

Actually its a pretty standard Evergrey album, the things you noticed here are typical for their sound in general, not just this one. So it depends on whether you're digging their sound or not - if you are then this album is gonna be really good for your taste

Tom is the most soulful singer in metal. Nobody sounds like him. Great guitarist, too.

This album is good, maybe not quite as stellar as their previous one, but still really enjoyable. Tom is an incredible and emotive singer, he is underrated imo.

I agree! The whole album feels similar to the other bands mentioned, but it just doesn't have enough energy. It's all around just OK.

Every album from since Hymns For The Broken is mighty impressive 🤘🤘

It’s a lighter album than the previous it’s a.mixed bag of heavy and light songs but I still can’t get enough of it. There isn’t much of a theme or story to the album as a whole. I love Misfortune, Cold Dreams, Say, We Are The North and To Become Someone Else (I love the chilled out bit in the middle)
I think he’s an amazing singer he’s got power and emotion.

Try "The Atlantic" - it's their best record when they changed sound, it's heavy and progressive, the opener is just pure prog metal with ultra heavy start.

I like Evergrey. Their last album was excellent, but this album was good, but I was kinda disappointed.
Maybe it's for newcomers, but it didn't grab me as much.. 6/10

They def leaned more into a more straight forward less experimental album. It still sounds like Evergrey.

As a huge Evergrey fan, this album is a bit of a disappointment for me personally. I totally understand why they made it. It is more accessible, it just isn't really for me. There are a few songs that I really enjoy, and then there are songs like Misfortune, which could be bottom 3 Evergrey songs of all time for me.

I love evergrey, but it’s not my favorite album. I enjoyed their previous two albums much better!

4 good songs. Thats it. The usual emo stuff and the boring, overdone, stop-begin kind of riffs. Good lead work though. The days of old unfortunately aint coming back.

You two obviously don't appreciate Everygrey's music or style. Knocking Tom's vocals is totally off base as he is an upper echelon, unique singer. You want screaming?? This is not Death Metal!

We praised the vocals. We just said it could use more intensity to make it more interesting. You need to understand that we look at these albums as critics not just casual listeners.
